🌹 Note on Grade 1 Bare Root Roses: When evaluating bare root roses you've received, please understand that not every vendor lists their roses as Grade 1. Before placing an order, ensure that you understand what size is being promised. Also keep in mind that roses come in all different shapes and sizes, and some are more vigorous than others. Own root bare root roses can be lighter and smaller than a grafted rose of the same variety, but quickly catch up once planted in the garden.
One vendor that comes to mind is my beloved David Austin. David Austin doesn't guarantee that all bare root roses shipped are Grade 1. David Austin has the utmost confidence that the quality they do send will grow into a good, healthy rose and the majority of the roses they supply do adhere to the industry guidelines for Grade 1.

I’ve got roses from rogue valley a number of times. My first shipment included secret garden musk climber: a tiny rose start (a shock at the time). Planted along a low fence, this baby took off immediately, putting out long canes during the first year and threatened to take over the city soon after. Continually in bloom 10 months of the year in SF Bay Area California, always covered in bees, and a strong clove scent, it’s a winner so long as your climate doesn’t freeze hard in winter. Don’t let the tiny size of the rose bands deter you.
I Love the Descriptions...and I Love the Idea of bringing up a Rose...from this point to the Patio, to the Garden Setting! ...I Love the Colors! Wow!
I ordered from Roque valley 3 yrs ago the Kazanlik rose! 3 of them and they were marvelous! Grew like wildflower in Southern CA! Last spring I pruned all of my roses back and moved them all bareroot to Georgia last April 2021. Around 65 roses including DA and old garden roses. They are all doing well in GA

I plant my miniture rose plants that I buy at grocery stores at the base of my larger rose plants and I've had pretty good success of them growing to at least 3 feet. They really look cute growing through the bottom of the larger rose plants.
This spring I’m getting 3 bourbon Reine Victoria! Can’t wait to receive them next week! Last time I had this rose was in the 90’s in British Columbia Canada! Very hardy even in -40 below wind chill factor 🌹💖
Wow! That Little Butch rose has definitely caught my attention. Such a lovely color. I've never seen it before. I wonder if it new this year? No one else seems to have it.
I hope you will add photographs of your roses to helpmefind when they bloom. Currently, there is only one photo of Little Butch rose. Little Butch was my father's nick name as a child. Thank you for your video. I love Rogue Valley Roses selection.

@@TheRoseGeek Well, it took a long time to receive her and then ups damaged her along the way 🥲 but now after shedding all her damaged leaves she's finally regrowing. I don't expect her to bloom this year after that, and that's okay. Roots and leaves are the important part right now for this 6" baby!

@@TheRoseGeek I had a sniff of ( may be munstead wood ) at the Manor House in Watford.. near London.. i had about 20-25 sniffs after that.. came home & found out that it’s discounted here.. i was gutted .. then ordered big purple, Julia’s rose, hearts delight & hot chocolate & felt a bit better.. already out.. it had been introduced in 2007.. & i’ve got quatre saisons coming which is from 1600’s.. so i know how you feel with no availability of summer song
