Unless you are lucky enough to meet someone who have done all the researches and hard work, and have the knowledge/experience and kindness to share his/her info with you for free! They are all so beautiful! I’ve been collecting purples too. Violets pride is definitely one of the most fragrant purple roses. Le petit prince and heirloom which I got cheap from Lowe’s are both very fragrant. Now I want to have Poseidon! It looks so picture perfect!
We are against the mean nematodes! Love your t-shirt, btw! I like the idea of own root roses too! Maybe I'll try that next year too! Also, very cool they created Bella di Todi! We need to learn how to make our own roses!!!
David Austin’s quality has gotten my heart, I planted a bare root Poet’s Wife in a pot and it already has buds! Not even 1 month, just 22 days! I live in zone 7 VA😊😊😊
I can't say enough good things about Roses Unlimited. Ive made two separate orders and my roses are beautiful and healthy and some with blooms and lots of buds. Guess the only bad thing I can say is the website is difficult to use at first.
I had been trying to reach out to them & they have not responded to my email. I was wondering if you can give me tips to make them respond to me. Thanks a lot.

Yay you finally got your Poseidon! I got mine from Northland Rosarium, it finally opened the bud it arrived with. I'm in 6b/WV and we are still having some 35-40 degree nights. Some of my roses are growing slowly, but others are growing like crazy. I'm not sure if it's the weather or my own impatience. I am just so dang anxious to see everything blooming and know that they are all ok and the correct roses.
@@TheRoseGeek Yep, we had a week or two of 50-55 nights and went back to the high 30s-low 40s the last 2 weeks. Thankfully no frost in our neighborhood but some areas did get frost. We should hit 80 in the next 15 days. The part of me that hates hot weather is at war with the part of me that can't wait for never-ending rose blooms.
Hi, I live in Connecticut ( zone 7a) How can I care for my small potted roses during this winter? I don’t have a garage or shed, I have a mini greenhouse. Also wanted to know if I can use my big clean glass fish tank to cover the potted roses . Please advice. Thanks
HI Melina! I know!!! They are really old school. Some of the venders that I bought from only have a listing like Roses Unlimited and you need to go back and forth between the website and Helpmefind.com . If you want to see everything they offer (except the David Austin Roses, "Browse" in the upper right. Then "Our Collection". If you want to see DA roses, Once on the "Our Collection" page, scroll all of the way to the bottom to the search bar. Type "English". Click on word "English" in the picture and BOOM* Let me know if that helps.
@@melinapatterson9533 In the event that there is a particular rose you are looking for: When you get to the Collections and see everything (except DAs), hit CTRL-F and when the box pops up you can put in a name and it will take you to the rose (if its available). I’ve noticed that not all of the roses on David Austin’s site are own root. In a Zone 7b (TN), if it’s a direct choice, would you opt for roses from DA or own root from another vendor?
The most thorough videos about buying roses!!! Regarding 7:08, I'm pretty sure they shake out "excess" soil so they can save on shipping weight. :/
They came from South Carolina. Of course they have some black spot! Everything down here does.

40 degree nights?! That’s tough. We are at 60 in the evening. It’s jumping to 80 during our days (next week). I’m not ready for that.
