Ciao from Italy ! First of all I want thank you for all yours videos. they are amazing and let us dream about fishing holidays in your country. Looks like paradise....wilderness and no one around you ...only fishes !!!!
Only one think about the recepit with this fantastic scorpion fish......PLEASE don't use this "maccheroni cheese pasta" sinthetyc🤭😃
Use real spaghetti or linguine !! seasoning for the pasta : olive oil (not butter), scorpion fish, chilli pepper , parsley, salt and let it fade with half a glass of white wine.
Enjoy your dinner in front of a sunset with a cold white wine .....Buon appetito !! 😎🤙
Thank you I will prepare better next time! 😂
You should seriously be funded by the NZ government for the service you are providing them.
If NZ government had its way they would make fishing illegal
Haha very true. I don’t want any funding or help by the Nz government. They can keep their distance from me
@@olliecraig-primalpursuit😂
Before Ollie's videos I had no idea that New Zealand was so beautiful..
Not always about getting big fish, it’s more about the environment, the solitude and exploring an alien world. Anyone that has never dived will never understand this. Thank you Ollie, nice being on your journey. ❤️
Well said!
It’s magic
maybe it's just me, but i'm under the impression the overall quality of the videos, editing etc has improved a lot. I love the drone shots, would like to go on a boat trip there one day...
Thanks mate
@@olliecraig-primalpursuit keep up the good work Ollie :)
I'd say if you fried the onion and scorpion fish in a bit of butter before adding it to the mac n cheese, you'd be on to a winner. Maybe some bacon cubes too! Yum!
That is exactly what I need, 3 days dive camping. Thanks Ollie!
“That lemon juice really bought it together” 😂😂😂 I was thinking it looked like a stoner meal just before you said it!! That’s one of the best catch and cooks I have seen, you applying for MasterChef 🤙🤙🤙
Hahaha
Inspired to get me some beginner spearfishing gear and give it a go.

I really enjoy your videos also bc they are a pretty long format! Makes it really immersive. I can put my feet up, relax and enjoy your adventure. Thank you!
Awesome! Thank you!
I'd agree with that, ten times better than the crap on TV that's for sure. Been blowing its arse off in Pukekohe for what seems like 6 months. Hard to get out for a mish so these videos definately help pass the days between.
Agreed
Hello Craig we are blessed to watch your Videos keep us busy with your entertainment.
Straight tv series content. Big brands need to get behind your content. Mean mahi!!🔥
Appreciate that mate
Bro 😅… love how you didn’t edit out the epic trip when you almost landed on your backside ……. 😝🤣🤣
Haha yeah clumsy bugger 😂
That group of kingfish was gangster , appeared out of nowhere ready to rip some bait fish up! 🤙🏼
dude those venison saucies look amazing... drooling right now
Thank you for a beautiful wonderful world you have take me too
Beautiful video as always, no matter the size of the fish you catch, it is always a pleasure to watch a good quality video like that.
I went to Scots College in Wellington 37 years ago and now I live in Virginia USA. NZ is an outdoor paradise, I had some great fun night fishing Eels then smoking them.
Smoked eel is awesome!
The amount of work you put into these videos for us is insane bro!
Man those 2 snapper were a nice end to the trip. That really capped it off well.
Got em finally!
Great episode Ollie, thoroughly enjoyed it. Fantastic way to finish the trip with two snappers. I don't understand how your channel doesn't have a million plus subscribers.
Wish you all the best 👍🏼
Appreciate it mate! Thanks!
Don't forget to mention lavatory challenges as well😂😂
Once again, quality entertainment!
Cant wait to see what the future has planned for ollie craig. Just imagine.
Thanks!
Great vid as always Ollie, thanks for taking us along mate.
No problem 👍
Awesome video guys good watching chiefy
Well done Ollie, made me hungry -YUM, agree don't over power the fish flavor. Catch me a fish please.. 😅
Epic vid bro! You are inspiring me to get my gun out this winter 😊
Nice experience. Love it.
Wow big fish
Flaming jealous bro......
Mate, get yourself a cover for that sounder.. Think they're called rusler, custom made canvas cover, made in NZ. Saves green death in your cables later in life. Another hot tip, wipe some electrical grease over the rubber where the map card goes.
Always top viewing mate 🤘
Cheers for the tips mate 👌
Great video Ollie 👌😁
Living the dream bro
You should of told the world about the raro mate. Can't overlook that. My missus son loves it. His dad is a kiwi and his nan sends it over i think.
Haha 😂 yeah good old raro !
funny how am smashed thinking ad like to eat ya mac n cheese n your cooking it thinking its what ya eat when ya smashed🤣🤣
Haha 😂
The steep drop offs are perfect for snapper, access to deeper water. Try ghosting down one and sitting against the wall. You'll be surprised. The sunny section of coast opposite where you dived might have been a better spot to find snapper sunning themselves. We used to get a lot of snapper at first light, then we got them later in the day. The reason, we were far more relaxed and diving later in the day! They are where they are. That being said, early morning, last light and the further north you travel, the better.
Good to see you had access to warm food and drinks. Those winter dive days are tough, much shorter duration dives the better. By day 3 you'll be chilling down much quicker!
Cool I’ll keep at the walls, just never had much luck myself but probably just unlucky/not stealth enough
Hello Phil keep the diving going the deepest you go there are a lot of crabs under the rocks 👍
With no dairy or bakery around in the middle of nowhere, and for you to come up with a dish like the macaroni and cheese with fresh scorpion fish on the water is MEAN AZ! bro.
I enjoy your journey’s around Aotearoa, I can’t do it at the moment but I’m glad you give us this chance to see what is out there.🤙🏽
Haha cheers mate
Learnt so much from you bro thank you for your knowledge
Great trip. thanx for sharing

Awesome scenery a lot of work into your filming thankyou, I've been enjoying your journeys 👍
Glad you like them!
Take jigging pole and small jethead to troop and a pipe jig they work!
Send me chat for the pipe jig, like I used in Maui ÷.
awesome bro sick fishing
Was that a shark circling the Waka aye Bro lol beauty Brotha 💯👍
Haha yeah little Bronzie
Good stuff thanks for sharing , did you notice the Kingy cruising past boat @30.31 on drone shot . Cheeky hoodlums often used to catch me unawares in my seakayak they even rub themselves on the hull .
It was a small Bronze whaler shark unless im mistaken
Another Beauty- thanks for sharing mate
Mean bro great mission and epic job capturing the scenic elements. You cracked the weather window as usual 👌🏽👌🏽
Cheers bro. Some how found a gap in the crazy weather!! Been hard
cheers 🍻 for shearing the epic content
I would bring 3 different wetsuits haha great stuff bra loving it from Hawaii, Can’t wait to be back there one day!! 🙏🏽🙏🏽
Great trip, spectacular scenery. Love the editing. Thanks for sharing!!
Thanks so much!
Love watching your videos, brilliant content.
Much appreciated!
😂😂😂Much Love from a Stoner❤️💛💚 that appreciates your Vids Bro.. but yep that's a good feed indeed 😎👌
Haha cheers bro
Nice videos mate! Just one question, I noticed you're using a lot of Bushbuck gear; are you sponsored by them?
Enjoyedd the 3 day adventure bro!
Glad to hear it!
Awesome video, Ollie. A good keen man out for 3 days of hunting. Love the longer format too.
Not sure if it is the editing, but are you surprised by the lack of larger snapper? That looks like amazing snapper habitat with heaps of kina, decent kelp cover and deep gutters, etc.
A lot of coast around there. I only scraped the surface, and I didn’t set any big Kina or ground burleys so they were probably there somewhere. Fishing has its days too moon phases etc but I’ve actually heard of a few guys not doing overly well on that area of coast for snapper
Scorpion Mac!!! Tuning in from Big Island Hawaii. Siiiiick video Brah
Thanks bro!
Hey Ollie love your videos! Have you got any tips on snatching crays?
Thanks mate just grab hard and fast, aim further back. Few videos on UA-cam for this
Would you do a review on how you set up your bivy tarp
Nothing special just tie it around the bow rails then use a pole to hold up back but I’ll show in more detail next boat camp
Another awesome video buddy!! Keep 'em coming! this time of year are you using your 7mm suit yet, or still sportin' the 5mm? What kind of depths are you usually dropping to...on average?
I’m good with a 5mm bro. Not deep prob 10-12 max in winter all the diving in shallow this time of year generally
Average prob 8m
Epic video Ollie :) as always..... and loving you are a pretty much a Franklin boy!!
Totally cant understand how you are only at 47k subs... can i recommend a few more co-labs with creators with more subs for more exposure, so people joint sub? That suggestion is from a place where i want you to keep doing this and do well from it buddy
Thanks mate yeah I’ll work on a bit of that!
Probably mostly because I don’t have a girl in a g string on the thumbnail..
@@olliecraig-primalpursuit keep the ethic's solid bud!!
Nice video , when you sleep in your. Boat how do you deal with the water slap issue at night ?
We use earplugs but the slap is a pain in the arse to sleep through sometimes even with plugs
Doesn’t seem to be too bad on my boat perhaps hill shape, having said that I always anchor in very calm spots and I’m at home on the ocean bro I’m used to all those sounds worked on boats for a few years so puts me to sleep
Great video what kind of boat is it?
It's a Senator Boats IS400 Spearfisher
Hey bro I reckon you could do with a swag aye make sleeping alot more easier less gear etc. I've got a single swag here in Oz I bearly use I'm coming over nz march next year do you want it?
Thanks for the offer I’ve got access to a swag, it’s just nice to have everything covered so no dew on gear in the morning etc and if light drizzle but for the right mission swag would be ideal
Is that the anchor that you salvaged on trip on the rubber duck
Nope, still got that on the Irb
Hey bro when you realised your tech didn't work on the boat, what was the app you used on your phone? I feel like I need to know this!
Just classic Navionics bro. it's great
Why are you not diving those caves?!
Generally empty
Ollie... Where is that water coming from that we see in yout boat every vid ???
It’s got two self draining scullers at the rear ( drain when underway) I put the bungs in them at night for camping. Nice when get a lot of water over in rough conditions for safety etc
@@olliecraig-primalpursuit Yeah , I got a similar Stabi Explorer and the scuppers down can back siphon at anchor in sloppy conditions , bit of a trap for the uninitiated , can build enough to cause free surface stability issues even with the pontoons ., Pays to have them plugged or up like you say . Great content and inspiration , keep up the awesome content .
I’m pretty clueless about boats. But you seemed like you had a heap of water in the back of your boat. I am just wondering what/why this was the case. I always thought water in boat = bad. Obviously I am a shore diver. 😂😂
most likely its when he gets out of the water because obviously, he is quite wet, and brings in a heap of water with him when he gets back in
@@jamesanderson21796cheers I wondered about that. But thought I’d ask. Every day is a school day right 😂
The boat looks like it has scuppers in the back which is a piece of pipe welded through the back with a short peice of lay flat hose . They're designed to let water out when you get up on the plane and when you come off the plane and the hose goes under water it closes to stop water getting in but they sometimes let a small amount of water in
@@peterbaiter6422Awesome. Thanks for the response 👍 makes sense.
You'll have to do a mission with muddy feet
Species is the singular and plural bruzzy, no such thing as a specie 🤙
thanks
Nah pilau
Having a hard time believing that lemon added to mac & cheese is any good.
It was seriously good!
