11-28-1981 - Michael Jordan shows from the start the dominance he can show in basketball. While his skills and knowledge may not be there yet, he definitely shows he has the athleticism to be an elite star scoring 12 points.
I like how the announcer mentions that this was the first time they incorporated the break-away rim....and thus, modern dunking was born!

At this point college basketball wasn't that far removed from the rule that stipulated that freshmen were not allowed to play at the college varsity level.
Just reminding you that he's playing in a different level than a freshman.
