Figuring out the identity of the werewolf would not have taxed Sherlock Holmes. Since the monster cannot enter church grounds simply round up all the villagers and see who cannot set foot on holy ground. Duh.
They make it look all twilightish but really it isn't. The book was well written and very dark, it was nothing like that fairy book, and the move may not be as good but I'm sure it's way better twilight.
@@JenniferZack-ow8hx "Red Riding Hood" by Sarah Blakley-Cartwright, David Leslie Johnson, and Catherine Hardwicke. However, I can no longer attest to whether the book is any good at this point. I don't even recall writing the comment you responded to.
What this movie needs is a sequel called "Boy Who Cried Wolf". The plot is Valerie and Peter had a son and he worked as a shepherd. And then out of nowhere, a wolf was stalking him. And he doesn't attack the boy. He just stares at him.
I watched this before and never forgot about it,might have to watch again. And for ppl that don't know this movie has TWO endings,it a minor difference tho (Spoiler) One ending she turns around smiling Other ending she turns around smiling with a baby in her arms
@@luciusgarvous at the end the male love interest meet up with the female love interest. In one ending she she turn to face the guy and just smiles. I'm the alternative ending, she's turns to face the guy with a smile and their baby in her hands
Parts of me thinks this would be half and half. Half of it might be good and half of it bad but can we please get the lust out of the story? Actually have love in it? Can we focus on the actual story and have two people love each other without them being on top of each other all the time? But it would be interesting if she turned out to be the wolf and like killed everyone or something.
I would love this if 1) she was the wolf and 2) if he is the wolf, she kills him in the end and is better off for it. If she just ends up becoming a werewolf / being involved with the werewolf- I am losing all hope for movies.
Is this comment a joke there is littherally 20or more movies or animated movies of red riding hood and littherally everybody owns this book in their house.
They didn't even credit me. I'm so pissed. I made this trailer/teaser on my old laptop using Microsoft movie maker. I used stock fonts and worked so hard on this. UGH!
@7tmo The only fault Catherine takes for the "destroyed...legacy of past horror movies" is that she decided to direct a novel and screenplay written by Stephanie Myers (the original author) and Melissa Rosenburg (used to Television shows). The worst you can say about Catherine is that she couldn't direct her actors well, but "directors like this" did not primarily "[destroy] the legacy of past horror movies." You seem to be someone who knows enough about movies to make these distinctions.
@SuperGamer87 Actually Amanda Seyfried who plays the girl really can act. She just didnt choose a very good movie this time. Now as far as warner bros, like in the old days they are just following the craze.
@MrDreamer00 Not really. This story and almost all of other Disney movies are based on legends or stories for adults that are then adapted for kids... Kids don't have to watch it if they don't want to.
@Mammalmage Lmao! When the Grimm brothers wrote these tales, they were full of violence and sex. Those references were removed to make them suitable for children. If anything, a movie like this is being faithful to the origins.
The movie looks alright; I personally don't like Catherine because of her directing in Twilight, Lords of Dogtowns or Thirteen. However, some of you need to realize that DIRECTING is not WRITING the screen play or novel. She did not make vampires sparkly--Stephanie Meyers did. She did not give them crap lines to say--Melissa Rosenberg did. The only thing that relates Catherine to Twilight is her poor directing. Otherwise, over half of the complaints about her do not belong on this trailer.
damn just when i thought twilight was going to die after breaking dawn...here we go with a spin off. if i can live through twilight then im pretty sure i can live through this also.
Well, since I have never seen the twilight movie before, I can put aside the romance and enjoy the thrill and the mystery side of the movie. I was drawn into the movie and felt as part of the villager, curious who is the actual werewolf. I also like the screen color tone and the music vibe. Just a perspective.
@BlackLightning20101 Actually, the original version was about prostitution/rape. So yes, this movie is close to the original version that "the greatest children's story of all time".
@jesperjks With Oldman and Irons on board? No, I'm not afraid, since both Oldman and Irons have more talent in their pinky than the entire Twilight-cast put together.
what a great movie , in the middle of the events I was guessing the murderer that's very entertaining ! As Netflix are preparing to make a movie about thiercelieux , I see that this movie is enough
@AJ4710 I share your pain. I too long for the werewolf movies that made me lose sleep in my younger years. Now then, you may be old or horror-hardened enough that these won't scare you anymore, or perhaps you've already seen them, but you should try The Howling or An American Werewolf in London.
what would be interesting was if SHE turned out to be the wolf what would be boring is if he was the wolf and its a whole doomed romance, in love with the person who wants to kill you but loves you thing (exactly like twilight) lol did that make sense?

@mahalcat I have heard about the original stories being more mature and dark.
