I think the Mission Impossible franchise has grown about a stale as James Bond. We've seen all there is to see, just with bigger explosions and more ridiculous special effects.
remember: most of these movies are "special effects" and often they rely on that instead of having a good script. In marketing, it's called "selling the sizzle and not the steak"

The most interesting and original one is Mickey 17 and it looks so weird, that it probably won't be a financial success (but I'll definitely watch it, just because it's actually something new).
