Those new tractors look like a Beast. Personally, I love the old Massey's. I'm a sucker for the non-computer, no non-sense mechanical beasts. A Farm show i'm heading to at the end of June has quite a few, including the (what i call) Double-Ford Tractor. All in Blue, lovely.
Lots of shiny new kit, but I was more interested in the sandwiches and chocolate. Reminds me of an open day we held years ago, management got quotes from two caterers for food. On the day one caterers van turned up followed by the other one 10 mins later. We were eating nibbles for several days afterwards!!!!!
Hi folks Hi Tom , great to see the lovely new green machines, any similarity with the fendt to the massy to use they look cool 😎 thanks for explaining how things work so we understand .eat plenty of that chocolate 🍫 and sandwiches 🥪 😋
The fixed chamber balers can make slightly oversized bales. My dad occasionally makes a “Mega bale” by accident but it’s only about 10% bigger by diameter, difficult to net and probably a good way of breaking the machine.
Very nice kit, I’ve always considered myself a John Deere man but the European equipment manufacturers impress the hell out of me, Claas Fendt, Huddig, Valtra Scania and the list goes on, we make so nice stuff in the states but we look about a decade behind on guys is design and function
Be interesting to hear your thoughts on using film wrap instead of net wrap as a primary fir the silage/ haylage bales. Seem like a really good idea but i can't find much info beyond marketing.
Nice footage Tom, and some interesting new toys that I'll never see or use because our farm is....rather different to yours (regional Australia as opposed to Lincolnshire). How did you get involved with hosting/providing the field(s) for Fendt to demonstrate their new equipment?
Tom, the flipping power in that tractor with grass cutter! There was no stopping it. Can you give us non farming tractor nerds some stats on the machines? Thanks.
like our mini baler, just right for small holding that has enough acreage for feeding a few horses... or other animals... dont see many channels with one, i tihnk they under estimated.
possibly a dumb question from a none-farmer.... is the hay a crop you grow to sell for a profit, or a crop purely for you to feed to your own livestock to save having to buy it in?
@@Tomlamb980 Fendt is a German agricultural machinery manufacturer founded in 1930 by Xaver Fendt in Marktoberdorf, Allgäu region, Germany. Fendt manufactures tractors, combine harvesters, balers, telescopic handlers and row crop planters. It was purchased by AGCO Corporation in 1997.
You want a Lincolnshire born and bread worker?.. Cockle and shrimp fisherman by trade... I'll come do a weeks work, no wages just a Chine sandwich every day?

Lovely
Yes, back then I used to sometimes miss a strip and we also called it "a row of shame". A term still used to this day. Great posting, thanks Tom....
That side loader is for zero grazing.
keep up the great work. BE great to see you and Colin in winter barns do a face off built you both built the same thing and see who is better.

Another great video 👍 hopefully see you at cereals 😀
Another great vid tom lamb 👌
Great video Tom it’s handy being able to use there equipment and save wear and tear, on yours you should get them to come and do second cut as well 👍👍
They did last year

They seem to be taking over John Deere here
Thumb nail reminds me of the starwars sand crawler...
Another great vid from Tom 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks 👍
Living that farming simulator life, love it. Keep on doing more videos!
Thanks! Will do!
ofc these fendts drive way better then the massey :D
The new mower looks beautiful, cuts nicely for long grass. Bet the blades are sharp enough to circumcise a house fly 😅
Nice job sir! 🍫
I was the 1000th like on this video :)
You need a triple mower, front & rear both sides, with a scatter on the back! 🤣
Some serious kit sandwiches looking tasty you'll have to start some catering services 😅😅
Only problem I'm not sure if the sandwiches will make it to the customer 😂😂😂
I wish!
Cheers for the videos Tom, I would love to see some of the drone footage chopped into these Vids too if poss
It’s coming

Il try and do it in one of the next videos
How many men does it take to check a Fendt 😜 great bit of kit, Tom 😎 must be like a giant toy shop 🤠
You got that right!

They just rang me up one day and now have been coming 4 years
@@Tomlamb980 Cool 👍. They keep coming back, so clearly you're doing something right.
Maybe they really like the sangas 🥪!

I will in future videos

Didnt you say Massey and Fendt were the same thing, red Masey, green Fendt. Cant beat some tractor action.
Yes
3:17 think it’s a cross feeding conveyor so you can use your wagon as a zero grazer.
Correct
Tom, you do great videos.
PS the first machine is a dumbed down sand crawler from Star Wars...
😂
I've never done any grass work. I know nothing about it. Do you top dress it?
Yes
I hope the tedder driver figured out to take 3 rows rather than just driving randomly across the field 👍
Eventually
possibly a dumb question from a none-farmer.... is the hay a crop you grow to sell for a profit, or a crop purely for you to feed to your own livestock to save having to buy it in?
Just to feed our own we don’t make any money off it
Is it worth it farming grass or is it only worth it for demoing the machines?
Need it to feed animals in winter time
@@Tomlamb980 that makes sense. Thanks
Tom! Come back from the dark side. IT'S Not RED
I’m trying
No duels either!!
I thought Fendt was American?
No German

AGCO is American. :) I was curious so I googled.
