I’m 55 with the arthritic hands of a 75 yo bc of a health issue. I want to garden until I can’t lift a shovel on my own! Growing my own food & flowers is my therapy. I’m guessing Grandma Larson has planted her garden & weed whacked the yard all her life. It’s very satisfying to see it done. If she’s anything like Grandpa Merlin, she’d tell ya flat out if she wanted it done for her.

There are not enough words to explain or express how great of a farming channel you have created. You provide diversity, exceptional quality and above all, trueness in all you do. If youtube had a similar recognition as what Hollywood has with the Walk of Fame Stars, this channel should be the ground breaking first. Love this channel.

As a grandpa, I'll say offer to help Grandma, but if she wants to do it, leave it to her. She probably enjoys doing what she can and it is good for her to stay active. Drive by and give her a thumbs up while she's doing things. She will appreciate it.

Farmers are amazing! So if you are a mechanic, plumber, carpenter, electrician, welder ,business manager , gambler and can do thousands of other things really well then you too can be a farmer. Or you can just start farming and will learn all the other trades out of necessity. Thank you to all who farm!

Hey Chet, we have a John Deere self propelled sprayer on our farm and we got told if we ever had to spray with it when the field is wet that if you move the back tires to a different distance then it’ll be less ruts just letting you know incase you do get a self propelled spraying. They are nice. Another great video you guys!!!

When I was growing up, my next door neighbor mowed her yard with a push mower until she was 82 years old. She would get offended if myself or her grandkids offered to mow it for her. When she was 82 her kids bought her one of those little Snapper rear engine riding mowers and she used it until she moved to town at age 88. She said her gardening and lawn mowing were her exercise program. She would let us shovel snow or run the garden tiller for her. If your grandma wants you to weed eat she will tell you.

Chet, people that don't know anything about farming, but we don't inspect them too. They think when you get the crop in the ground were done till fall. But the dirty work starts, power washing equipment and tractors and maintenance starts then cleaning combines and carts. And cleaning grain bins out and working on them. Then back to maintenance on getting it ready for spring. never ending battle. LOL

That was another entertaining and educational video as usual, Chett manages to get down to the nitty gritty and disperses his wisdom to the masses about how things are done on the farm. What with Eric as the main educator, Chett does a wonderful job of informing without browbeating. OK I admit it I love these guys, they know what they are doing and what they want to be done correctly. Go team Larson. love Dougo's grin when he said "the door is gone", that had chett wondering what door where and why. Dougo just looks and smiles. That says it all....

Lots of gravel to haul for the new bin site. That will be a big project for sure. The gravel pit is a ways away but you have time to haul before bin site is needed.
Planters getting ready to be put away until winter maintenance time. Brody got them washed up real good for storage.
Doing some more spraying on the black beans I see. I see Brody doing that. Good work Brody.

I know you've already hauled the gravel and got most of the ground work done but I'll give you tip. Next time you gotta stockpile gravel in a pit use your excavator, I've worked for big gravel contractor's and dug lots of holes. If you are digging out of pile or straight wall a loader is great but if you are digging down use a hoe, way more efficient

Is there a vent on the spray tanks? When liquids heat they vent off gas - on a hot sunny ay the 'air' above the liquid becomes more and more pressurized - until a tank or valve reaches its designed strength and breaches.

That’s a big advantage when everyone’s getting along and working the same ultimate goal of achieving the best crops .thoroughly enjoy your videos just wanted to say thank you I do appreciate it, although I do get a bit envious of your excellent yields as ours here in the eastern grain belt in Australia are remotely not as good as you grow but then again our input costs are a lot lower so I guess at the end of the day, it’s all relatively the same
