The sheer amount of gear youve got there Tom, pretty much every tool, machine & contraption you can think of. Amazing setup mate. Love the vid, keep em coming 👍
Love the old compressor for the 1” drive gun. We had to do the same in our workshop. The only problem is you can ring the nuts off if you’re not careful. You need to grease guns, cordless for out in the yard and one mounted on the wall that runs off a compressor just for the workshop. Have a good weekend Tom
0:07 great content again good job spotting the oil seal. Nothing like an old reliable bit of machinery. Bit like Tom pemberton other day pulled out a parraharrow out of the nettles
Tom, get an air powered bulk grease gun for the workshop. Then, remove the bleeder screw blanking plug thing from the top of your manual grease gun, and replace it with a grease nipple. Quick easy re-filling, and no more air locks from having the top off.
I was wondering why the muck spreader would have Ag tires on undriven wheels, but I think I have worked it out. The wheels drive the spreader mechanism, which could load them enough to make then drag in some situations. Is that right? I see they are mounted the other way round to driven wheels which makes sense. You farmers are clever buggers! 🚜👨🎓
Funny thing about having a pit. You think about getting one for a while then you build one and then you wonder how did you get stuff done back before you got one in. To date we have never put the cover boards on our pit because there is a motor on it every day. They do make life a lot easy then before. As a footnote Perkins make some really nice diesel engines. Often fitted to narrow boat and run as a wet exaust cooling system. have a great day Tom....
Get yourself some round bar and stick it on the lathe and make yourself some proper extensions for that pit jack. Bore a hole in 1 end to slide onto the end of the ram, and thin the other end so the dish fits on that. That wood will end up spitting using it that way
Best bit was where you’re wrong. All I can hear is singing angels and Tom Lamb. He’s a farmer. Singing angels or Maybe it’s just a drive shaft coming out. Either way Tom Lamb knows there’s some nice noises.
That jack set up you have in the pit is brilliant!
Nice bit of work Tom and helper it’s a good job you spotted that otherwise it would’ve been expensive 👍👍
Genuinely cannot believe how easy the bearing caps came out! Any JCB i have done they have fought me all the way out! Good job 👍🏻
This whole video is awesome. Loved every part of it. Great insight into your daily jobs. More please!!!

Great video Tom. Looking forward to some planting videos!!

Love these raw no bs videos tom lamb and crew
Keep them coming 🤠
I wondered why my Weetabix tasted a bit oily this week 😮
Absolutely awesome video yet again, Tom!

No the spreader is driven off the tractor wheels are on backwards to keep them self cleaning from mud
Been doing a bit of hub work today as well but mine need lower ugga duggas. Cheers!
Nice 👍

Pits seem so useful. Something annoying like an oil change can be done so quickly. No need for jack stands or laying on the floor.
@@TheRealTburt yes, I am happy to say that oil changes and exaust fit ups don't bust my back on cold concrete anymore. Life got better....
Another cool vid from Tom and crew 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Great job done on the jcb you'll haveto start a maintenance channel in your spare time😅😅
I hope so!
Is this whole place your farm Tom? Or it is owned by a group? Are those machines arriving hired??
Mine and dads all of its mine but the Fendt stuff is for an event next week
What's the maintenance schedule on these? Is it ridiculous like the military's 1 hour in the field means 10 hours in the shop?
Na there really good like 500 hrs each service
Tom non farmer question, are the tyres on the spreader the wrong way round
Geoff
@@GeoffreyMoore-i9k no if there non drive tyres the go on the other way
Are the tyres on the spreader right way round? I thought point on tread goes down first?
No because they are not drive tyres
Lube it up so the shaft goes in easier Tom lol 😜
Going to need a 2nd pit at this rate!
Don’t tempt me
@@Tomlamb980 I thought the same. The entrance is also looking a bit narrow for the really big stuff?
looks like the ball joint gaiter on the steering for that wheel is a bit dodgy Tom?
I’ve ordered one

Nice one. Be got to look at my manitou sometime too!🙈
I told you that you'd never regret spending the money to build that pit. Looks like you've got space for a second one next to it too...
Nicely Done!
Tom get a air bucket greaser unit makes greasing a joy
I need one
9:34 a gantry crane would be the job. Or an ibeam with chain lifter.
@tomlamb why don't you have a permitent generator on site above what you want
The normal compressors aren’t powerful enough to run the big but gun
@@Tomlamb980 Then clearly you need a bigger compressor! Keep the diesel powered one for field servicing.
Lol. One dugga dugga, two dugga dugga, three dugga dugga... 😄
Wow. This has a 'Google translate' option. Wonders of AI, but we all speak ugga dugga!
You tell him helper! That thing needs grease! Haha
The boot on the rod end is fooked as well
Love the channel again walky talkes would be good so you wouldn't have to shout
Noted!
Try a Kinchrome 18v grease gun from Australia
FT is a decent torque figure...
BUT VFT is a more suitable figure!
Like
FT 😂 saying used every day in my workplace too
VÄDERSTAD! Swedish stuff. That place is "only" 193 km from me. 😀
It’s the best
👍 for the algorithm - these are great video’s.
A day in the life of *Tom Lamb* - *Farmer*
Glad you like them!
A couple RSJ's and a winch hanging off garage upgrade.
Time to build an overhead crane?
Wheel nuts are duga duga duga, three duga’s on the impact wrench 😜
Good ole boy is nick
Rick needs to be in a video
If I was a Buddhist, I’d want to come back as Tom Lamb. He’s a Farmer. Well. I would, only Tom Lamb beat me to it.
I was getting some funny looks whilst on the train watching this. I need some headphones!
I bet some of the ladies later went online to shop for cordless Milwaukee's! 😂😂
13m16s That's what she said.
You’re not using that gun right if you don’t say “hey asshole, uzi 9mm” in Arnies voice. and thought FT was fairly tight 😅
Pressure wash first!
F10 = Tight enough so it won't come off by mistake ;)
terrible camera work!

Nice job Tom. All that work to build the pit is really paying off.
Good for you.
So much sound I could hear the tapping stick before the tapping stick tapped.
