I cant see the point in buying this instead of having the format of your preference alone. The four formats have the same content and the book is just a booklet with just cool photos. Thanks for sharing.
I really want this boxset but I kept hearing about the 40% defect rate of this first pressing. Did anyone have any problems with their set? I’m not sure what the problem was but I’m assuming it was the vinyl inside??
I have actual ticket stubs from two of the Wembley shows. And an original unofficial program. Anyone want to buy? And an original 77 vinyl. Plus music paper photos from music press reviewing the london shows. Been in a box since 1977.
Picked deluxe version up today major quality control problem with the lp ! Will return on Monday and hopefully my get a playable copy!No polly lined sleeve is just stupid and asking for trouble! Will they ever learn I wonder!I post is saying almost half are faulty! That is a very costly mistake with the returns they will get! Major disappointment on what looks a nice set!Anyone else received a knackered copy!
Got a replacement and that is scratched also! That will be returned only 1copy left in HMV store !I suspect I will be getting a refund! This is 2 thirds of the stock they have ! If the last copy is the same that’s all copies no good! What the hell are they playing at!
Yup I am on my second which is worse than the first. I am looking at getting a third as they are happy to ship it out, but they really have done very badly with this release
Hey again Matthew, the new mix sounds fantastic, I’ve been accumulating the new reissues for my Pink Floyd collection, I’ve got a few original US pressings since I live in the states, but have decided to pick up the reissues for my main playing copies, what is your opinion on the new reissues.? I think they’ve been handled very well and sound good.
To be honest I haven't owned any I have the Floyd albums in many formats and I just wouldn't play them If I bought them. I know albums llike dark side of the moon and wish you were here that I never need to hear them ever again they are in my DNA. My go to is Atom heart mother or is there anybody out there
@@MatthewNorthMusic I don’t know if you have any of these, but I just got the Pink Floyd early years box set that came out a few years ago and OMG, some of the best music, deep cuts, live material and video footage I’ve ever seen from a great band. Highly recommend if you don’t have that set or the individual volumes, 1970 Devi/Ation has the Quad mix of Atom Heart Mother and plus like the 13-14 different versions of the track on it.
@@quinnspears3135 I did buy it, sadly for me it was not perfect, some of the bbc sessions were in poor sound quality when better versions are around the 71 concert is in mono when stereo exists and things like the new mix of pompeii was not good to my ears. also they mention the VPRO show the shorter one was an 'instrumental only' gig, it wasnt you can hear the voices but as most collectors know there was a problem with the recording.. stuff like this that was annoying. Even the an hour with Pink floyd show was incomplete. (astromony domini is missing)

The record spinner on UA-cam did a great video for this release.
Mine appears to be ok.
I got the vinyl and it sounds fantastic. I've got a UK, US, Canadian, & Japanese pressings and the 2018 Remix is far superior.
It does sounds great has to be said.

I haven' played the LP yet but it appears to be warp free.

Skipped the box set and bought 2 stand alone LPs for less amount. I don't need the useless crap
Fair enough...
