    SO much love for the best band in the United States..... They have made more money than the beatles . People forget that the beatles were only together for 6 years... dmb is pushing 20 years.... pretty frickin amazing. And still rocking just as hard!!!!!!

      And way better MUSIC and SONG WRITING. The Beatles were pop rock and WAY OVERRATED imo. I grew up in the 60s and loved tHem as a TWELVE YEAR OLD GIRL. DMB is not a teeny bopper band.

    They are all insanely good musicians that could stand on their own independently if they wanted too. I'm guessing the fact that they didn't necessarily NEED each other in order to continue their music careers played a role in their bitterness. Dave said, "It's impossible to lead this group of people..." which to me is a compliment to his band mates. They all stand on equal footing but without a leader, progress can sometimes be a problem.

    No problem. I've been a fan since '95 and have seen a lot of interviews, inside looks, etc.. This one was extremely polished and let the fans take a look at their personal experience with the band's evolution and reaction to LeRoi that was otherwise kept private.

    I remember following Dave on twitter some months back. He tweeted saying he had to write a letter about a friend. Who knew that he was really writing letters to his friends. I'm so glad they resolved their stuff. Family is so important. When you've been together this long you're not just friends anymore...you've become so much more.

The girl looked at the librarian (Who I went to H.S. with) & the librarian shook her head yes then the girl said to me your strange- I'd already seen this before so I said just like Dave-Thank you cuz guess what? Inner strife? They give away hints of it in many of their live videos. But I couldn't tell to the degree it was happening. All in all I think these guys were really hurt by the lost their brother LeRoi. I think they reacted the same as families who love another by coming together, reaffirming their appreciation for each other and becoming even closer. "Hey guys, your love for each other shows."

      I listened to a podcast with Steve Lillywhite and then Steve Harris on Apple. Harris produced Busted Stuff after they got rid of Lillywhite. Harris said that while making Busted Stuff Carter almost quit the band. It's a pretty interesting listen if you want to check it out.

    Miller's didn't exist in 1991-92. It was Trax in Charlottesville and The Flood Zone in Richmond VA that DMB played at every Tuesday and Wednesday night respectively for months. I lived it...

    • @adamazzalino5247
      @adamazzalino5247 5 років тому +1

      yes, it did. They PLAYED Trax Millers was THE BAR Dave was a bartender at in the late 80s where first met Roi and Carter. If you lived it, you weren't paying attention. I've seen photos of Dave from the 80s behind the bar--watch the VH1 doc from the early 2000s about him if you require evidence.

    • @washredskin887
      @washredskin887 2 роки тому

      I came down to Richmond once from DC to The Flood Zone. Remember it like it was yesterday. I saw them at the old Georgetown Bayou as well. I still go to see them here and there, although they're a totally different band now, and should be after all this time. I remember thinking it was a matter of time before they really hit it big.

    Man why watch this and then be negative. Mostly people know and admire dmb's successes. But then there are idiots who just hate him because one they have notions of the band as a college frat music, or a band people go see to get drunk. It bothers me so much because to deny his ability to get rich in a dying music market is like denying Apple ability in reinventing smart phones, smart watches everything Apple has achieved in a down economy is similar to dmb's rise. They saw the future of music and responded accordingly. Now everyone follows with concert movies and tours because they no longer can rely on record sales, actually Dave Matthews band could. Consider the fact hat everyone of their studio albums went to number one. Breaking the record and consider that does not include crash or under the table. They have five live albums that went platinum and every year they are the touring acts. He is the 9th richest front man ahead of everyone's favorite Springsteen and the man everywhere Dave grohl. So those who take time to tear down Dave Matthews band I wonder why. Spin mag in 1999 that Dave wa new king of rock. And they were right since the release of before these crowded streets which sung titantic's run at number one, Dave Matthews has been the most successful rockstar of the decade. He sold most tickets made most money and did this all while being voted the nicest man in music. So watch this video comment on it and take time tearing him down, why because you were not invited to go as a kid. If his music was just for frat boys and party goers why has fan base stayed steady. Kant argued it is pointless to argue tastes. Dave Matthews to me is the most unique band of my time, and has great meaningful lyrics. I don't care for radiohead like I once did. But I don't deny the are great at what they do. I hate Mary j. Bilge but respect her achievements and I don't consider Celine Dione a true musician but I have to say she can sing. So my suggestion to dmb's haters, stop caring. Nothing to gain and Dave Matthews no matter what happens in future will always be honored and remembered. This is long post and wasting my time now but not anymore. He is great in my option and to have made half a billion dollars selling nearly 12 million tickets in just one decade, is incredible. I love pearl jam but they have been more irrelevant than Dave Matthews since their third album. But since Jeremy video, versus, and ten they have Ben given a pass. No one kills Eddie vetter when he sings live. Pearl jam nirvana might be icons but dmb's has trumped their achievements. If one argues pearl jam and ticketmaster that was their choice. Those medal heads metalicca cost me napster Dave Matthews embraced. He had a whole cd stolen that was still being worked leaked, he didn't join law suit. So these bands dmb's so called contemparies made choices. Elvis made a choice, dmb because of sound business is richer than most. Actually all but nine and none of those front men ahead are as young as Matthews. 20 years is long but Paul McCartney has been doing it for 50 years along with jagger. I know I made mistakes typing this and to the haters of dmb the ones who will attack me. Remember I'm defending something I love. And although you are entitled to your opinion maybe instead of hating on dmb you can find a band that moves you like they move me. Go pick nickelback or foo fighters both are good but don't spend your time tearing down millions of people's idol. 23 years and so tired of life, what a shame to throw it all away hating on a band, that plays music. Music is the most taste filled industry but I don't troll sites to be mean, and that is throwing it all away.
