I've been watching the boat restoration project with interest. You'll not go wrong with the Tohatsu - I've got the 20 hp and it has been very reliable and economic. No idea what make or model the boat is. Good luck with the project. 👏

Thanks mate, yeah I really like the look of the Tohatsu, hopefully it will pair up nicely with the boat. Tight lines 👍

Dude, 18ft boat with a 15hr motor, it wouldn't pull the skin off a bowl of rice pudding, I recon about 40hr for that size boat, I also noticed the repair to the bottom of the transom, that is where the drain bung hole would have been to drain the hull, you should be putting that back in.

@@Dropped-It-FishingI agree mate, could easily put a bigger engine on it but there is a 5 knot speed limit on the canal so 15 hp is plenty.
Someone long before me has blocked off the old drain bung hole.

Sweet bro, I agree if your only 5knots, still think the drain hole should be put back in that's why your transom is rotting from the inside out, but up to you brother your boat mate, the boat is starting to look good keep it up bro, go get some man time😅

@@Dropped-It-Fishing yeah I’m going to put a drain plug back in, the blanking plate looks shit if nothing else!
I’m just about to start filling old screw holes etc and then ready to start painting the aft end… so should start to see a little progress in the next video (at the aft anyway!!)
