@@pigjubby1 I think the Dodgers are very careful with their pitchers. This definitely happens to every team. You probably notice it more because of being a Dodger fan.
It's a tough loss, but he might've saved himself if he stopped pitching in the 3rd inning like Yamamoto did. In the postgame interview, he even said he wasn't too concerned and he could've kept pitching. How could he have so little unawareness despite all the talk of the UCL epidemic going on around the league? Everyone and their mother's immediate reaction was UCL tear, yet the thought of it never crossed his mind even after he left the game.
Chasing high spin. There are 2 ways to go about this and fix the issue: 1. Un bam sticky stuff because without it people have to grip the ball harder to get more spin and a better grip. 2. Stop caring about spin but at the cost of hitting overpowering pitching.
It seems obvious that the pitch clock is one factor in arm injuries. There were several rule changes implemented to speed up the game, so I'm wondering if games would still be a reasonable length if the pitch clock were eliminated. I imagine most pitchers, now used to the pitch clock, wouldn't take as long in between pitches as they did before the pitch clock. I don't think merely adding time to the pitch clock is enough, because pitchers would still face the stress of occasionally having to rush to beat the clock.
Dodgers have the most pitchers prescribed with Tommy John. Too much dependence on Tommy John surgery. Resulting in less and less recovery and shorter careers. This is the first question that needs to be asked and scrutinized.
Dodgers scout the best high school and college prospects in the country. Here’s a news flash, to attain a high level, which leads to scholarships MLB prospect lists kids are forced to perform at a high level at a young age. This means specialized performance coaches and baseball all year. What do you think that does to a young developing arm?? You got it ? Tommy john in early 20’s.
As long as velocity seems to be the only gauge in young pitchers this will continue to happen. They waste guys arms in college and the minors trying to increase speed and then surgery is inevitable. It's baked in to the cake. Ryan has like 200 pro innings. Guys used to regularly throw 300 in a season.
MLB PLEASE BAN THE PITCH CLOCK !!!!!!!! OR ADD MORE TIME TO IT. THIS IS BECOMING SO UPSETTING TO SEE FOR NOT JUST RYAN , BUT FOR EVERY PITCHER IN THE LEAGUE ! 😡

Dodgers having more pitching injuries than other teams around the league. That's not the pitch clock. It's because they are training to chase velocity and max spin.
This amount of injured players is absurd. MLB has to do something, the owners have to do something, the media has to do something, and we, the fans, also have to do something.
Oh .He proved himself. Ryan is advanced beyond his years. Baseball heads are slow intellectually. Between the shot clock time being too quick and mound height being too low are responsible for more pitching injuries. They could get rid of the shot clock but suggest to players not to dally too much in relation to game time. And move the mound back to counter raising mound height. That would give pitchers an extra split second to react to shots up the middle . And also balance out the offense / pitching ratio probably to raise offensive production a little more. That's a theory. More so than a hypothetical solution.
I agree the pitch count is likely to blame this commissioner is a jerk and his policies are and have been wrong for baseball how stupid his ideas are its baseball its just like in the movie field of dreams when ut was said baseball is the one constant and people will come they sure will but leave the game alone
WE'RE CURSED! ALL THOSE PKAYERS PITCHERS IN GENERAL ALL OUT? EVEN OUR YOUNG TALENT ! THESE PITCHERS AREN'T TRAINING RIGHT! WE NEED A NEW STRENGTHENING COACH ASAP THIS TEAM'S GOING KNOWHERE LIKE LAST YEAR! FRIEDMAN THIS IS ON YOU! NEED TO BE FIRED ASAP AND TAKE YOUR BOY ROBERTS WITH YOU!
I think it's under-appreciated that Shohei is recovering from Tommy John surgery this year and contributing to the team the way he still is
That’s why he gets all the advertising money and biggest contract in the history of mlb
@@raymondwang1535 He’s had two procedures 2018 and 2022 If he resumes pitching a third is inevitable.
It's like Tommy John is a Rite of Passage these days.
They really need to look at the pitch clock. Ever since they instituted this rule, there have been so many arm injuries.

Welcome back, Mookie and Clayton! 🎉❤
Why are so many pitchers in baseball having arm issues it’s seems to be a major problem

More needs to be talked about in the mainstream regarding these injuries. This can’t keep going on.

Draft more guys like Gavin Stone who pitch to contact. Being healthy and available is valuable.

literally every pitching staff in MLB is chasing this as well
Dodgers, the team that gets plagued with pitching injuries . Home of the tommy Johns

Why so many as this wasn’t in the past in the league
Seems many Dodgers lately are on the Tommy John surgery Hall of Fame. Something weird going on with people in charge of their pitching.
How many more injuries must we sustain?
😢😢😢

Time to change strength & conditioning coaches, too many injured arms!!! 🤨

Latest to need L.A. Dodger surgery.
Yeah but Walker Buehlers career is washed up. Hasn't been the same sine the 2nd Tommy John surgery. He's done
At least the Dodgers team doctor has gotten rich.
Why are they not replacing that training staff????? For years, nothing but injuries.
Wow why is this happening? A rookie.. is it the baseball coach?
This Season has been defined by INJURIES!!! Dodgers should look 👀 into a new Training Staff!!!!!!
