- Mr. Bones is a multi-genre video game conceptualized by E. Ettore Annunziata, developed by Zono and published by Sega for the Sega Saturn in 1996. The soundtrack to Mr. Bones was composed and performed by Ronnie Montrose, with cutscenes and art assets done by Angel Studios.

In the 90s you could be like “I want to make a game about a guitar playing skeleton” and Sega would be like “OK sounds good”

Got to say even though this is an old game the voice acting is top notch, especially for Mr. Bones. I don't know who the voice actor was but they did a fantastic job.

I love the artifacts from the disk, you notice the odd colors on the loading logo, i got something very similar playing this as a kid, but it was always the same for me, it was a very wierd feeling seeing different artifacts while watching this again
I really want to sample that "what can you do on the moon? Cant even breathe on the moon" it be perfect for something
Wish that this game could be fully remastered in honor of E. Ettore Annunziata and his greatness for both Nintendo Switch and any exceptional and fully technical and good-looking Sega console and they want to accept that once too that matter.

this is beautiful
I could genuinely see this game get remade into a rhythm and hack n slash game, but instead of a sword, you use different guitar techniques to defeat your enemies. Then, with specific scenes where he's just trying to play, you can use rhythm mechanics to try and play the guitar perfectly.
Great CD of the music by Ronnie Montrose is available Sony music oop but available on eBay RIP Ronnie

Harvey S No problem. And there is also the infamous Game Over sequence in the dreaded Icy Lake stage where Mr. Bones falls under the ice, and gets washed up to parts unknown. That stage is so bad, that when it got brought over to Japan (it was developed in America first), they tweaked it so it would play more fairly. That scene is omitted in the video.
