Doesn't hurt to put Vaseline, grease or some kind of additive on the hose barbs too, before installing those hoses. They'll seal better and be easier to get off if you need to later. 😉

Great to see the fuel pump clearance resolved, no ones perfect and the section on the corner of the tank that was lowered where the fuel pump mounts is an excellent job it looks as if it came from the factory like that. Better than lowering the tank and with fuel line regarding the coment on the vw ,u shouldnt use copper its brittle and it splits for fuel lines always use bundy tube what the factory use . Back to the engine bay of the ht those zipties dont like long term heat especially in enginebays and i would mount down those heater hoses with some sort of grometted clamp bolted to the inner mudguard to stop those hoses from slapping and flopping around .

I've got a 1995 GMC Sonoma the motor is a 4.3 Vortec engine I just replaced all of my front end suspension minus a arms and the front stabilizer it's all rebuilt bottom ball joints top ball joints idler arm new too much to explain but I love how you show people how to do their own Plumbing that's worth a lot cheers Brothers I'll work on my project and you can work on yours which is awesome do it for Dale
If your going to put a cover on the engine how about using stock ve heater hoses. They will hide neatly under the cover. You could just cut and join them at the back of the motor. They will also stay nice and warm. Not saying the others won’t but they might cool off a bit before reaching the core.

they are the most dangerous razor blade to use. And there is a dodge hose that is a direct fit for the bottom hose, no cutting required.
On my first car, a 71 VW Superbeetle, I did the wire trick with coat hanger wire when I had to replace a fuel line. Previous foolish owner replaced the original steel fuel line with copper and didn’t put a grommet in the firewall where it ran through, it rattled against the sharp steel sheet metal of the firewall and cut through it!

I'm wondering why you wouldn't use a steel crossover pipe pile a LS VT and use the VT lower hoses...Cut towards you chum not your thumb...Love your work.

Most ktg"s Kingwoods had heater box in engine bay hence no grommet for heater hoses in that removable panel.
Which is a blank off plate for cars ordered with no heater .Heater was a option on Belmonts & Kingswoods.
Correct me please fellow Kingswood /holden nuts.
Makes me think that under dash heater core /box is a add on out of a earlier holden.
Earlier holdens say EH had a one piece grommet which held both hoses and fitted in a elongated hole through firewall.
Which is what you should use cause 1 it will look factory & 2 them hoses need to be grommeted cause they will rub through.
Think rare spares sell them or any holden nut probaly has one or two in there shed.
Or use individual grommets.
Anyway great series really enjoying it.
That heater box is the standard heater style. If the car was ordered without the optional Fan Forced heater that is what you got. Agreed about the grommet, I would use one from a Valiant for it"s heater hose's.

Fit the belts first before cutting hoses.

Mate, sooooo many issues in this vid. You’re doing it as an instructional yet you’re using the wrong hose clamps on fuel injection hose, stretching the wrong size hose over bigger fittings and just letting heater hoses dangling in the breeze.
These little things are the reason conversions become unreliable, and could be fixed for less than $15.
