I wish George was still with us because he would have a lot to say about what's going on in our society today. What a great thinker, philosopher. Thanks Maddy.
He wouldn´t care. At most, he´d be on repeat, telling you "I told you so". His jokes would still be valid, as demonstrated, and the show goes on. Really, he nailed all of the things that cripples our society today. It´s a pretty horrific realisation...
He already told you. It is no different than what has been going on for generations; more people have been forced to notice the liberties they've been sacrificing throughout their lives, without noticing. Government has always been, at best, a necessary evil; our founding documents scream that fact from the rafters, yet with centuries of notice, we still failed to keep government small enough to keep its evil contained. Those who ignore politics and government until September or October of an election year are failing in their duty to be informed, actively involved citizens, which allows the evil to fester.
George died June 22, 2008 at 71 of a heart attack. He had a history of heart problems spanning 30 years which included heart attacks in 1978, 1982, and 1991, not pneumonia at 70.

Third section about euphemisms / mild language is one of my favorites. Puking punchline is so spot on! It never gets old and never dies. Carlin will always be with us all in spirit. RIP
The fact that you called it PTSD when he described it makes his point perfectly. I have watched a few of your videos, i like you reaction. Very nice! His euphemism bit has aged a bit because technology has changed some of the terminology, but when you hear business talk when people get fired, or a big major thing happens they need to do damage control, you hear "alternate" language being used to soften the blow. Also a lot of "ablelist avoidance" language falls under his point.
George was truly brilliant, one of a kind, and certainly celebrated as one of the top comedians in history. His delivery, at times incredibly lyrical and sing-song, was masterfully crafted. Thanks for the reaction.
Many terms that have changed have to do with a persons job. Waitresses became servers, stewardesses became flight attendants, secretaries became personal assistants, and so on. Heck one of my jobs over the years hired me as a "custodian" which is just another word for janitor.
