I never noticed that with the older gamers before. When they're in the moment, you can see the trapped youth shine through thier eyes! Its rather humbling.... a reason to like my species again. 😊
It's endearing to watch the elderly play games like these. Reminds me of watching my dad play Call of Duty when I was a kid. They have almost no idea what they're doing but enjoy the game just the same.
That can be his lack of general expertise from more modern games (games made after 80's :) ) or just how some people are. I once read someone complaining how they tried fighting Erdree avatar for 4 hours with very low level character and deemed ER as shitty too hard game. When e.g. I first encountered one, I tried it couple of times, made assessment I could probably beat it if I tried it some times more, or I could go explore a bit and come back later. Latter I did and had little problems beating it later when I came back with better skills and equipment. It's open world, you do not have to win every big enemy when you first time encounter them in totally open area. It would be different if there was only one way to advance, but when it's not you have more freedom to pick your battles, but one clearly have to be able to think that not every enemy you have to beat on sight. Also what many gamers do not get that many things they know about games they have learned over long period of time from various games little by little. But when you then put a total game noob like Nerdrotic or Klavan to play modern game they lack decades of 'game wisdom' about mechanics and how games play (also certain handiness when talking about age).

Or just games in general. I'd love to see his comments on various video games (especially games like Bioshock, The Last of Us, and God of War)
@@Geudry If some one sat down with him and taught him the mechanics like dodge rolling, i-frames, and how to properly parry, he could do it.
@@coreyceleste4323 I mean, without even leveling he took like 1/5 of the friggin knight's health down. I couldn't even do that till I was lvl40 on my first playtrough. I imagine Klavan Knew how to block, parry, jump attack and dodge he'd lvl1 the whole game. It was pretty neat to watch.
This needs to be a series
When I first played Elden ring and died to the first enemy "Oh! you're supposed to die? No, no I don't think I will".
*Proceeds to restart character over and over until I kill him*
I'd like to see more of this - it would be good to have the producer guide him a bit - it looked here like he let him skip the tutorial
Tutorial would have helped with things like locking on and blocking.
"old man plays elden ring" is an amazing premise to a video
Klavan to bring forth a gaming series for Daily Wire.
We need more of this series.
Played 600+ hours of Elden Ring with my partner, and Klavan still has the best "Dark Souls" face I've seen 12:46
the struggle is real 😂
this goes unfathomably hard
I don't know much Klavan likes puzzle games, but if he played Valve's first Portal game, I think he'd really like it for the mechanics and humor.
That raw flood of joy you get when you finally kill an enemy after multiple deaths
Most rewarding and frustrating aspect of this game and I felt Klavan's sense of triumph through the screen.
I love the balls of this man for his immediate challenging of the Tree sentinel...
Seriously though, I want more of this klavan .
Not so much balls as it is unknowing
Never thought a Souls game would go this mainstream
The producers are both sadistic and in need of a raise for having the great bald one go through a Souls game. Greatly amusing. Can't wait for the next one.
On October 23rd, 2077 the world was destroyed in nuclear fire.
I loved seeing him stand up while fighting the tree sentinel lol
To be fair, even as someone who’s finished Elden ring multiple times I still don’t understand the story
We need a Klavanon playthrough... it just must happen. Even if Dan has to drag him through with coop lol
I suck at these games, but enjoy watching people persevere
I love his little quick side comments he makes that I find a pretty funny. Just how he called the wretch naked people, said that he’s too old to be naked. And I love his choice of words, he’s very sophisticated. Leave it to a boomer to take gamers back to school.
I knew he was a savvy guy and all but didn't not expect to see gaming on this channel.
I never noticed that with the older gamers before. When they're in the moment, you can see the trapped youth shine through thier eyes! Its rather humbling.... a reason to like my species again. 😊
We need more of Andrew Klavan playing video games in general, but I would be interested in a part two of this gameplay.
I wish they'd told him about the tutorial cave. I'd actually watch him continue to play this game. I liked this!
This was the 0 death speedrun I didn’t know I needed. Thank you Klavan!
I love that you don't give up easily. I'd love to see you come back again to the game after getting some more practice.
Klavan's face when he is fighting that boss is literally me🤣
Now we need to see him play Lies of P.
This is quite possibly the greatest gaming video I have ever seen. I need a Klavan gaming channel. Would watch every video
Thanks!
Its like those reactions videos where they let the elderly play computer games except Klavan is that one really cool grandpa who gets it.
13:00 Ah the nostalgia, I remember my trysts with Mr Tree Sentinel. Was level 25 before I was able to beat him, Klavan trying at level 1 is hilarious.
I beat him at level 10. It took me hours.
It's endearing to watch the elderly play games like these. Reminds me of watching my dad play Call of Duty when I was a kid. They have almost no idea what they're doing but enjoy the game just the same.
Lol same man, my stepdad used to go hard on some Medal of Honor for PS2 and rage here and there lol good times
This guy isn't elderly, wtf????
I love that he walks out and immediately tries fighting one of the strongest guys in the opening area lmao
