When I left Cleveland for the US Navy in 1981, I took MSB with me via cassette tape to NAS Miramar, CA and to NAS Cubi Point, Philippines. Still sharing. Great band and great lead singer with lyrics that came from heaven.
so sad....just a year later, he is gone... Rest in peace eternal, Michael...keep on rocking on that big club tour in the sky.. 😥#ThisIsYourTown #MSBandMichaelStanleyForever
So sad, and a year later this Ohio legend is now gone. RIP man. Seems like it was almost yesterday, but its been nearly 40 years since I saw you play live for the first (of many) times!
I grew up listening to Michael Stanley. I saw him in concert many times including when I was under age at the Youngstown Agora. It was easier back then. Which he wrote this song on the bus trip back from playing at the Youngstown Agora. I made love to his music and shared it with many people around the country and world. RIP Michael....
And Lord, there's something 'bout a sad song That helps to ease the pain Here I am, Lord, just singing up a storm And I'm all alone again. #WestSide Thank God for UA-cam and whoever recorded and uploaded this. RIP Michael
My Wife Absoulutely Loved Michael Stanley. We used To Got Out And See Every Show of His.Im From Youngstown Ohio. She Passed Away Almost 2 years ago. Im Miss Her Terribly.!!! I Hope He's Singing This To Her !!!!!!!!!
Traveled from Missouri for this show! Did the meet n greet, front row seats and was just a perfect evening. Had no idea this was the last of so many beautiful memories from Michael. RIP, heaven is rockin a little harder, now.
Thank you so much for recording the Civic concert. Stagepass is my favorite album of his. It brings back so many memories-those carefree memories of youth.
Dang..Heard Of Michael A Couple Years Ago Never Really Checked Him Out..After Checking Out Donnie Iris With His Band..Seeing That He Had Opened For Mike Then Decided To Check Him Out..Wow..A Hidden Gem..A Diamond In The Rough..What A Treasure..I'm A Fan For Certain
I didn't know Michael personally, but I certainly know his music. How awesome would be it be to stand in front of a crowd and have them sing your song, NOTE FOR NOTE, WORD BY WORD.
Thank God for the man that wrote , thank God for the man who put the white lines on the highway, hey give me a break, ive been drinking. And im a Steelers a nd a Browns fan.
I saw a b ill board that said thank God for the the man that said thank God for the man that put the white lines on the highway. Thank you Michael Stanley, ive thanked you many times for that. Still do, 50 yrs later. Never saw you, but always a fan. Knew Dave Smally of the Raspberrys, used to come to my Mom& Dads house to hunt in Venango co.,Pa.
My other story about MSB was when my Cleveland buddies located me in the suburbs and came out to fetch me to a Kent State concert in and around 1978. Five of us packed into a 1977 Trans Am and went to the concert. They were Mike Billington, Chuck Billington, Alan and John Walker. Hopefully they see this and respond.
I could have gotten a ticket for this show, but I convinced myself I couldn't justify the money. Sometimes I just need to go with my gut. This must have been his last concert, everything shut down a few days later. RIP Micheal.
@@saddletramp6935 Well, after that stupid, inane middle schooler comment, the fact remains. The Michael Stanley Band, and Cleveland, are mediocrity personified! And, your sports teams suck, to boot!

@@DavidWadeDFAproductions wow...I think a lot of people, especially starting at the end of 2019 and the first few months of 2020, probably had it, maybe a lot with mild symptoms, some worse, and had no clue about this disease yet... so sad....

There is a reason he was never popular outside of NE Ohio. He wasn't nearly as talented as Springsteen, Seger, Mellencamp, etc., who many people compare him to. Most of his songs are boring and not memorable. End of story.
Help me out. I would love to have one those tickets, it can be a copy, I have a place picked out for it in my cave, next to my Donnie autographed HD saddle back lid, and my Jimmie Vaughn autographed a/c delete plate from 68 Mustang. Guys got to have his toys. Help me out folks!

Cleveland, Akton, these songs brought back all the memories of my younger years, and Michael Stanley. I missed this dude and his music.
Unbelievably beautiful, RIP MICHAEL 😭
What a huge loss to not just Cleveland, but any fan of good music. Thank you Michael (and band) from a huge fan from Pittsburgh.
