one of best things my friend Tom 🧡 did was turn me on to MSB..never looked back..still look to the future even if he is only wIth us in our hearts. Shout out to the man who put the white lines on those highways in youngstown and beyond😢
The MSB was my first live concert some 42 years ago. He played with Charlie Daniels at K-SHE 95s 14th birthday party show. Still remember how fantastic the performance was. 🤘
I loved his music as long as I can remember!!! My favorite is the song for the Cleveland Brown’s ! Here we go again!! This is our year!!! Go Browns!🙏🏻🏈❤️
I was dragged to a MSB concert when a student at Ohio State. Never heard of them. Some new friends from Cleveland said I gotta go. Seriously awesome concert and a forever fan was born. Had not heard he passed. Sad. MSB is on my boat music track. Being at the lake and hearing his music is the best
I did not know he passed! I was into MSB back in 1977 with their live album. Just felt like checking out their music today..still stands the test of time! Sorry to hear of his passing!
I grew up in Brunswick, OH in the 70's and moved back home to MN in 1979. I wish more people in America and the world would have known his name and music. His farewell letter to those of you back home was so touching to you.
Grew up seeing MSB at Blossom in the 80's. Then at the Tangiers restaurant. My mother was in charge of ticket sales, so I rarely missed a show. RIP to the both of you. Thank you Michael Stanley. In case you don't know, Johna Cozlin is still playing. Sorry if I butchered that spelling.
Y’all just get better with age, like a vintage wine..in Oklahoma we had to wait until your tour bus came around, and you’d pack some big club and play for hours...I was always there, ready to be treated to a fresh new album tour., and get to see you all again! Always hoped I’d see you in these later years. Can’t believe you’ve gone, Michael. It’s the end of an era ..prayers and condolences for everyone who loved you . Give em ‘ten thousand watts of Holy Light!...🎸🎤🌌💖 Love you always 💫
Little known hero outside of the Cleveland area and forever loved by so many here.. Never got the due he earned and deserved...the MSB sounds even better today ..Blows my mind how they were not nationally recognized across the nation as a must see on tour..Cleveland Ohio the Rock & Roll Capital of the World was well represented by the MSB..RIP Sir..forever loved an never be forgotten
Thanks Dave Wade for all the videos you have been posting. RIP Michael Stanley, lots of memories. First time I seen him was at Spanky's in North Ridgeville.
Thank you micheal stanley for playing at our 1977 senior project at cuyahoga falls high school in cuyahoga fall, ohio. Rest in peace micheal, you will live forever in our memories.
OMG I just found out. Went to the PUB in Madison Ohio. We played MSB music and had a couple of drinks in his honor. Crying real tears, rest in peace, your friends from Geneva, Ohio
RIP Michael. I remember you playing a great concert at the University of Mount Union my freshman year . I remember getting to meet you when you played at a Friday night dance we had at Mount Union. An awesome musician, but more importantly an awesome person.
If you were a MSB fan, then you KNEW every damn song they ever played. This man and his band gave so much to their fans. Grew up listening to them on local radio. They became our stars. RIP Michael. Thank you for all of the memories.
RIP Michael I'll never stop listening to your beautiful music I'll have a special request song for you to sing to me when I get to heaven I'm heartbroken 💔💔
I can't believe he was 72 .. he looks so much younger. One happy memory growing up in Brunswick Ohio ... The Cleveland Coliseum concerts! Sold out .. !
That was the best version of that song beginning with :24 with that piano solo till the guitar solo at the end. Thanks Michael for the memories! You are loved!✌❤
This man was truly a great musician. Unique voice, 1977 he played at our high school in cuyahoga falls, ohio. Brought the house down. Rest in peace micheal, thank you for the great music and memories.
To the local legend of fond summer days and "snow as thick as thieves" nights, rest in eternal peace in the presence of something greater than all this beauty. To Michael Stanley Gee, you are a kind hearted Clevelander forever.
God bless I will miss this band seen them at Mount Union in late 70`s with my college girlfriend whom I married and still, love his music God bless the family and keep him close in memory
A wonderful singer, guitarist, and a truly good man. I enjoyed his journey in this life with his superb music. Another Angel has gone Home to Heaven. He and his music surely will be missed. Sad to see him go, but someday I believe we'll all meet again happily.
Certainly not as huge as he was in Cleveland, but he had a big following and was loved in St. Louis, as well. MSB was my favorite band growing up and I had the good fortune of a bunch of their shows before the band split. I remember a sold out show at the old Arena in St. Louis where MSB warmed up for Foreigner and should have been the headliner. I (almost) felt bad for Foreigner, but not really! R.I.P. Michael. Well done. Your legend lives on.
Played for my 50th birthday party - you were the best. Miss your music. RIP!
