Skip isn’t REALLY mad that Steph “melted down” in that 16’ finals. He’s actually just mad that he lost to Lebron and didn’t add another L to Lebron’s finals record. This is just incase you guys are wondering why he talks about that moment so much.
Dude went 12-21 from the field with 34pts, 7 boards, 7 assists to clinch a finals and Skip is still out here dying on a hill for no reason. I was cheering for the Celts the whole finals but even I have to admit Steph is different.
I mean to be fair, at this point that is their characters that they play on screen. Shannon the funny cool uncle that is fair, Skip is the unreasonable stern dad that takes the Micky out everything. It is what is.
4 championships over an 8 year span, including back to back titles. 2 as the best player, 2 as the second best player but all 4 as the face of the franchise. A Finals MVP (there are only 34 players with that honor), and it was clear as day he was the easy pick. 2 MVPs, back to back, with the latter being the first, and as of now, only unanimous honor. 8x All Star, an ASG MVP, 8x All NBA. The highest career FT%. The most made 3s in the regular season, playoffs and Finals. The undisputed greatest shooter of all time with one of the cleanest handles ever. A man who has legitimately changed the way the players and game are perceived and played. He's probably not one of the 10 best players of all time. But he's top 10 all time in greatness. My definition of greatness in sports... Championships/consistent winning Impressive individual statistics Accolades and awards Legacy and impact Peak and longevity Your situation (front office/coaches/teammates) It's a combination of them all and Steph has them in my opinion. Stop hating Skip. Rant over.
@Eric Blake I just want you to know that this is the best summary of Steph’s career, as well as the overall criteria for the futile attempt of assessing and comparing the best players of all time. I would love to hear your opinion on the top 10 players ever with that criteria listed.
Steph was the best player in the 2018 Finals, he outplayed and outscored Durant in 3 of that 4 finals game while being trapped by team defense of the opponent
Doesn't matter what team he would have went to those years, with Bron and Steph teams. I like KD, but he know it hit different when you're apart of a team on the run.
Skip's hatred for Steph is all time pathetic. He could win another 2 rings to equal Jordan's 6 and 2 FMVPs and he would still babble on about 2016. He's just a Curry hater at this point.
True that. I wonder whether he does it to just create debate at this point. It must bring in more popularity for show for one to hate on steph or any superstar
"There have been too many times when he got too lightskinned in the finals I couldn't see him anymore because he turned into a ghost" That was out of pocket Skip 😂😂😂
13:47 Curry had the highest plus-minus even if he went 0-9 from 3, the ONLY PLAYOFF GAME IN HIS CAREER he went blank from three. He had a decent passing/rebounding game, and still drew attention away from the Celtics, which paved the way for Wiggins and Klay to protect home court.
Explain how Curry is top 10 all time. Over who??? Top 10 in any order. Bill Russel, Kareem, Jordan, Shaq, Kobe, Olajuwon, Magic, Bird, Chamberlain, Oscar Robertson. Curry wouldn't make it top 20. What are you media hype zombies talking about?? All time great blew a 3-1 lead in the NBA finals. Man stop it. Too many great players have come before no defense Curry. One trick pony Curry.
@@datrapprotv Tell us how Bill Russell is greater....And you better not say rings... From their skill set, their individual accolades, to the part they played in their teams winning... tell us... Did you even see Russell play? Bet you didn't right... But he's on your list. Sit down parrot
Steph is 21-13 in finals appearances with 4 rings. LeBron is 22-33 in finals appearances with 4 rings. A lot of those losses were against Steph. You can't put LeBron in the top 3 and not put Steph in the top 10. That's just being talent biased the same way people get when it comes to Duncan. Greatness is greatness, some players are just proven champions and Steph is definitely cut from that cloth.
Take out the 'easy mode' or 'cheat code' Finals with Durant (which were 8-1), and he's 13-12. And I'm leaving in his first Finals, when LeBron had his two top teammates out with injury except for one, for one game.

They’ve said for years “I need to see Steph be the best player in a finals and win”. Now he does it and still it’s not enough lol. I’m gonna head out Skip. You’ve become painful to watch ✌️
Yea that’s how I felt I knew he was gon hate because it’s his character to do so for views and I usually tolerate it but I couldn’t watch. It’s sad to be honest if you have to do this for views.
You know someone has no argument anymore when they intentionally try to leave out the games Steph was clutch and shut the door this series. He said Steph has to show it. He showed it, and Skip is looking for excuses. Steph averages over 30 with insane efficiency against the number 1 defensive team in the league with the defensive player of the year playing his position and 6 years younger. If Skip can't give Steph credit for doing this, he never will.
Straight facts but I’m pretty sure skip wants to give steph his flowers but it’s a Debate , so both of them can’t be talking good about the same player in a positive way to much
Does anybody have KD over steph? I think KD had the best stats BACK WHEN HE WON with the warriors, but steph resume looking stronger and stronger than KD day by day. Celtics did sweep him.
@Jc88 He got locked up and swept by the defense Curry destroyed in the finals, he finally have a taste of what it's like when Steph is being guarded heavily all those years ago when they played together, however the difference is Steph didn't get clamped, he even played better and scored more in 3 of the 4 games in the 2018 finals, therefore he's the real 2018 FMVP
@@sen3291 why not mention KDs performance last year when he had giannis guarding him and put up those numbers? we cant act like steph has always put up those numbers in a big playoff series just to prove a point. steph and kd are my favorite players so im not trying to say one is better than the other im just trying to speak objectively here.
He is a hater. He hated when Lebron won in the bubble, he hated Giannis last year and he will hate Steph as well just to protect his beloved best player in the NBA KD. KD definitely let his pipe in skip's throat.
Curry is consistent, hard working, has his priorities straight, humble, has all the accolades in basketball that you can accomplish, he is a great father, he is accomplished outside of the NBA, he is a perfect man to look up too, and he has all the qualities of an all Time great and more. Curry is a top 10 player of all Time and let's face it, I'd say he is more accomplished than Shaq. If we cry about LeBrons longevity (that makes him the 2nd greatest) so much, how about Curry. The man who also held LeBron to only 1 title during Currys Rein. Also, Curry was Unanimous MVP during LeBrons Prime. Curry is a top 10 player of all Time. He changed the game around the world and revived basketball for the Little Guys. He is an Icon that forever be my Basketball Hero.
Even if Steph wins 1, 2 or 3 more championships, a CLOSE MINDED person will never see Steph’s greatness as it is and will keep looking back through all his flaws rather than accomplishments.
and it’s crazy and biased. every superstar had a flame out. magic went from magic to tragic . bird scored 8 points in 2 straight finals games. kobe had flameouts , bron had flameouts, kd had flameouts, only jordan didn’t completely flameouts but had bad games .
@@jspj2 MJ was never the underdog. MJ had finals games where he had worse games than brons 8pt game yet won bc his team was good. MJ flammed out in 96 but his team was OP
The longer the sport goes the tougher it gets to rank only 10 of the best players, if you think Steph is already top 10, you're right, if you think he's not there yet, he has another 3-4 years of high level ball to climb spots, either way he's one of the greatest of all time
The Warriors never needed Durant to beat LeBron. They literally were two shots away from winning Game 7. Yes, Durant made them better and they made the right decision in picking up the best Free Agent for the roster, but they could've beat LeBron regardless. I’m lost ? What else did he have to do this season? Broke 3PT record. Was the 1st to win Kobe Bryant All Star Award, Magic Johnson WCF, and FMVP in the same season…
Look at the top 10….. Besides Magic (who was bigger and could play other positions), Steph is the only pure point guard/shooting guard that has potentially cracked the top 10. That alone is insane to me. What an accomplishment…….let alone changing the game, breaking shooting records, making teammates better, being selfless, and winning on a team playing small ball. Insane.
Skip needs to accept that Steph has better finals stats, even before this year, than most finals legends have. Sure, he had problems hitting crucial shots at the end of the 2016 and 2019 finals, but he was pretty much excellent other than that.
Objectively speaking, Warriors were still the favourites in 2017 without KD. We keep forgetting that narrative because it was so long ago but they were the 73-9 team who suffered a lot of injuries in the post season and had referee decided ejections and suspensions etc. and it still went game 7. In 2018 Cavs would’ve got swept by the Rockets if not the Warriors so Skip just saying that LeBron was gonna win twice more after out of thin air because if we really had to bet, the odds weren’t in lebrons favour more so than Currys.
They wouldn't be able to stop LeBron without Durant especially if kyrie is the same 2017 Kyrie. 2018 LeBron is the best LeBron we ever seen. Kevin Durant match that.
The question is if kd does not join the warriors what team he joins instead. Because back then the spurs we're also trying to sign him. He had gone there witg kawhi i think the spurs win 2017 and 2018 will probably had been the Rockets. So it really matters we're kd joins it changes everything.
Bruh every finals I’ve ever watched in my life had bad games from both teams he acting like every finals MVP in history played flawless every game if that’s the case it would be all sweeps smh
I love how he said he disappeared in the finals and he’s an all-time regular season performer when the fact is in the finals he actually goes up in statistics and how he plays. In fact quite honestly in the playoffs he plays better than he does in the regular season. When you don’t have facts on your side though this kind of thing happens. He had an all-time performance in this finals 31 six and five. Curry had his moments where he took over the game in the game five and six of the 2015 finals were in game five he had 17 points in the fourth quarter and 12 of the final 13 points . In game six he had 13 points to close it out. In game one Boston went on a run like I have never seen they could not miss for a seven minute stretch they were too good. Then in game three he played well and tried to keep him in the game but Boston shot a little too hot. In game five the only thing that was off was his three-point shot. He shot over 50% from inside the arc like seven of 13 or something like that. He also had eight assists and only like one turnover. He had a good game. Obviously he had an all-time series. He is just trying to hate because he doesn’t like curry for giving up that lead to LeBron when the Warriors team was injured.
Skip discrediting greatness as usual. Pretty sad to watch, but all the more satisfying knowing he has no control over the narrative. Steph revolutionized basketball. That is Top 10 no matter what sport.
Hey Skip: Just give the man his flowers already. He’s a him, and now it’s undeniable. You can trash his opponents all you want, but like it or not, winning four rings isn’t a fluke each time. He’s really that guy, and it’s time that you just face the facts and move on.
I believe that the NBA's Top 10 players are those that transcend the game! Curry is in that conversation because EVERYONE wants to shoot the 3 because he made it look easy and deadly for defenses!!
No, many other players did that isn't in the top 10. Shooting 3s doesn't make you all time 10. The game was moving into shooting 3s way before Steph, Steph just accelerated it. The analytics was already working behind the scenes before Steph and Kerr connected.
@@blowc1612 I agree, but you have teams like my Spurs that have been one of the best perimeter teams in years......falling victim to GS because of their 3pt shooters. Plus the 3pt line wasn't important for PF and C to be at least decent at
Curry might replace Bird sad to say. Curry already led the league in steals at one point in his career so that would make up for not being on an all defensive team.
Hey I’m a Celtics fan forever after we beat the nets I had a big feeling we would make it to the finals before the bucks series I was telling the homies the only team I fear is the warriors only because of Steph every time he shot a 3 I kinda closed my eye hope he miss that man a legend give him his credit Skip it was hard for me last night watching my team lost but I’m not going to make excuses
He's #1 what other player ever is the greatest anything in the sport? Steph is the greatest shooter ever. He's the best shooter in a sport where your main goal is to shoot the ball. He's the best at it and has been very successful in other areas enough so he has 4 championships.
I kinda disagree, I personally don't believe a finals MVP really does all that much for his legacy in either direction, if you think Steph needed a finals MVP to tell you that he's great then Idk what to tell u, I always thought the knock that he didn't have one was overblown as if he didn't have 2 regular season MVPs and several championships but nooo none of that matters apparently if you don't have a finals MVP.
The FMVP award suddenly gets treated as the most important award in basketball when the conversation is about Steph. How come no one points out the fact that Kobe also didn't win every FMVP in all the Finals he played? Magic Johnson and his 'Tragic Johnson' series? LeBron's meltdown during the 2011 finals? Only Steph gets discredited for having a bad finals series (even it's been years since it happened), it's crazy
@@Brantley_ZA yes its not their fault a 73 win team (best record ever) grabs another top5 player and adds him to said 73 win team. Yes yes it is their fault, almost no one wanted to bet against them. The NBA stopped Kobe from teaming with Chris Paul but they think thats ok, weird judgment.
He plays pick and roll and stays on the Court almost the entire game every game, averaged around 30 points per game on the finals, gets guarded by at least 2 players most of the time, he doesnt have to be clutch on the 4th quarter because he was clutch on the rest of the game and gets tired! Who would do what he does being 34 years old?
Steph’s finals career 2015: It wasn’t Iggy’s insertion that really changed the series, Lebron still put up big numbers, look at game 5. It was Steph’s big offensive improvements from games 4-6 that made those explosions irrelevant in the final 3 games, he absolutely deserved to win finals MVP. 2016: Steph was hurt, but I won’t disagree with the narrative that he choked, he only looked like Steph in game 4. 2017: He was fantastic, 27-9-9 on good efficiency, only his partner and crime KD was even more fantastic. 2018: KD’s averages look better than Steph, but anyone that remembers the series would know that Steph was better than KD in 3/4 games in that series, game 3 skews the averages. Regardless, still very good. 2019: He averaged 29 points/75 on +6.5 rTS with heaves filtered. Not his best in game 6 but very good overall. 2022: We all saw what happened. Greatness. Steph has choked once, Skip is exaggerating.
Context matters...LeBron was a negative +/- when Iggy was on the floor covering him and LeBron's efficiency was over 30% lower when Iggy was covering him. Iggy won FMVP because Steph wasn't the huge difference, it was Iggy slowing LeBron down that was.
The disrespect to KD in 2018 is hilarious. In Game 3 Steph Curry had 11 points. This game could have been a turning point of the series. Klay only had 10 points while Kevin Durant put on 43 points to completely save the Warriors and the series for them.
I think steph has the greatest influence ever on basketball. MJ kobe etc influenced players, individuals. Curry changed the whole NBA. Whole teams. How a offence is run. What you need to have coming into the NBA.
No one talks about the defense curry faces, he’s not lebron or Jordan but smothering these guys definitely had an impact on their performances, now just think about how small steph is, and the fact that he faces the same defensive attention that a Jordan or lebron would face, with the only difference being curry gets guarded once he passes half court.
I think his resume is top 10 worthy but I'm not taking him over: MJ Bron Kareem Magic Wilt Shaq Kobe Duncan Bird Hakeem Russell I won't fight anyone who does put him in there though
Russell is so overrated, he played in a 9-team league with little talent pool, height, length and athleticism he also has an 8 hall of famer teammates and averaged 12ppg in his career against 5 foot players with part time jobs, if he played in the modern era he'll average scrub bench player career average, maybe like 4-6ppg. At least Wilt had mythical numbers playing against a weak league, however he only has 2 rings so is he top10 too? His numbers is so inflated because of the weak&unathletic 9-team league back then Russell, Wilt, Big O etc. should be an outlier and have an asterisk in them if they're actually in the top due to the state of the league they played in

Skip has Shaq number 3 and I don't disagree but Shaq played in Orlando with a prime Penny Hardaway. Left to go play with Kobe. Then left LA and went to go play with Wade who was unquestionably the better player at that point in Shaq's career. Shaq also kind of ironically was atrocious at shooting free throws and shooting in general.
Yes. Stephen Curry has done it all. His talent as a player makes him an all time great, but his humble nature and leadership make him a once in a lifetime player and the ultimate fundamental piece of a dynasty. Truly have enjoyed watching this man’s greatness over the last 10 years. I know his game 4 will be the memorable performance, but I thought he was excellent tonight. 34-7-7-2 on efficient splits and really solid, disruptive defense on a night where nobody other than Draymond stepped up offensively.
Skip is so tiring these days. He is predictable in his takes. We all knew he was going to have an issue with the Warriors/Steph winning the championship. I don’t get people saying they respect him because he really believes what he says. By that thinking should we respect Kyrie for his flat Earth views because he really believes it.

It wasn't players (Steph, Klay etc) signing KD. It was the owner, the managers. KD s stats were just slightly better than Steph's. Also Iggy s MVP was kind of questionable considering stats..
It really wasn't questionable, that series flipped when Iggy was inserted into the starting lineup to cover LeBron, lowering LeBron's efficiency by more than 30%.

I think his resume is top 10 worthy but I'm not taking him over: MJ Bron Kareem Magic Wilt Shaq Kobe Duncan Bird Hakeem Russell
I won't fight anyone who does put him in there though
Russell is so overrated, he played in a 9-team league with little talent pool, height, length and athleticism
he also has an 8 hall of famer teammates and averaged 12ppg in his career against 5 foot players with part time jobs, if he played in the modern era he'll average scrub bench player career average, maybe like 4-6ppg. At least Wilt had mythical numbers playing against a weak league, however he only has 2 rings so is he top10 too? His numbers is so inflated because of the weak&unathletic 9-team league back then
Russell, Wilt, Big O etc. should be an outlier and have an asterisk in them if they're actually in the top due to the state of the league they played in
@@sen3291 You have to base how great players are by comparing who they were relative to their peers and Russell was the best player on the best team which won almost all the titles in a single era. You can't use it against him that the talent wasn't as good. Players weren't as good back then for so many reasons (worse nutrition, technology, training, etc).
@@gigispeed1331 Best player with career 12ppg, sure he has great defensive number but that's against 5 foot, unathletic guys with part time jobs. Like it or not Bill is a scrub on offense, he's basically just a Rudy Gobert or maybe even worse
@@sen3291 I totally understand your point and it's just a matter of perspective. Just find it impossible to leave someone who dominated their era in terms of winning like he did outside of top 10. Each their own. I will do my top 10 quickly and intuitively but pretty much have it set.
1)MJ
2) Lebron
3)Kareem
4) Magic
5)Russell
6)Byrd
7)Kobe
8)Duncan
9)Wilt
10)Shaq or Hakeem (tough to decide depending on what you value.)
Have Steph, Oscar, KD, Malone just on outside.
I just can't leave Russell off. I think after top 4 it's all so close its just a matter of perspective. Nobody can convince me that top 4 aren't MJ Lebron Kareem Magic tho
@@gigispeed1331 Dude Bill Russell top 5? You're tripping, I can accept at least #10 somewhat because of his rings and defense but that dude is probably even worse in offense than washed up Draymond or Rudy Gobert, people always like to say basketball is a 2-way game but Bill severely lacks in offense if he just averaged 12ppg against scrubs, basically he's a way below average offensive player and would average scrub bench player ppg in todays game, maybe 4-6ppg
Most 3pt FG in a single Postseason Steph in 2015 98, 2016 80, 2019 92 and 2022 91

Skip is 100 percent CORRECT
Great team great win 🥇
my favorite part of Undisputed is fast forwarding the video every time Skip opens his mouth :)
I fast forward Shannon. Skip is the best part of the show. He not afraid to speak his mind unlike everyone who chooses the safe road.
Skips is my favorite I fast forward to skip past Shannon too
Skip has Shaq number 3 and I don't disagree but Shaq played in Orlando with a prime Penny Hardaway. Left to go play with Kobe. Then left LA and went to go play with Wade who was unquestionably the better player at that point in Shaq's career. Shaq also kind of ironically was atrocious at shooting free throws and shooting in general.
Shaq has 3 finals mvps and that is with kobe on the team as Robin. He is top notch 10 and ahead of Kobe
He’s fake humble bro. No humble player is doing all the showboating he does
Skip is so tiring these days. He is predictable in his takes. We all knew he was going to have an issue with the Warriors/Steph winning the championship. I don’t get people saying they respect him because he really believes what he says. By that thinking should we respect Kyrie for his flat Earth views because he really believes it.
The funny thing is that Skip picked the warriors to win.
Why will you not respect Kyrie. His beliefs are his personal right. He don’t hurt nobody with his beliefs.
You think steph is better than any of those 10 he listed? I don’t. He’s 11.
10:45 - translation: "I know my argument lacks consistency so I want to keep this discussion in a vacuum and limit the focus to only Steph because I know you can apply this same exercise to everybody I have ranked above him." At that point I tuned out Skip because I know he's going into contrarian mode and not willing to ever admit to being wrong.
His accolades are now at a point where he should be in the Top 10.
Who you taking out? For somebody to go into the top 10, somebody has to come out! Michael Jordan, LeBron James, Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul-Jabar, Tim Duncan, Hakeem Olajuwon, Shaquille O'Neal, Larry Bird, Kobe Bryant, Bill Russell, Wilt Chamberlain...
That's 11 names, which 2 are getting dropped for Steph to be inserted in...
@@Mr10before9 bill, bird, wilt and kobe is also extremely good but a part of his greatness is because hes the same position and height and baldness as the goat mj
Steph is top 10
5 assist is not great? Does this man not realize that the warriors needed him to carry them offensively most of this entire series. Also they missed a ton of opportunities that he gave them. Could've easily had 8+ assists. I'm not even a Steph fan.
1.) Jordan - 6 rings, 6 FMVPs, 5 MVPs.
2.) Kareem - 6 rings, 2 FMVPs, 6 MVPs.

4.) Magic - 5 rings, 3 FMVPs, 3 MVPs.

I'm not ranking Wilt and Bill in my top 10 because they're simply to big of an outlier. Era was far too different with 8 teams.
I got Curry at 12...
Jordan, Wilt, Kareem, Magic, B Russell, Lebron, Kobe, Bird, Olajuwon, Shaq, and Duncan ahead of him

Lebron nr 2 ?? Lol that’s a good one
Curry better than magic goat point guard he is in a league of his own
Magic won 3 Finals MVPs including one in his rookie year! 3 regular season MVPs. He’s the best PG ever. Ain’t no shame in Curry being 2nd best.
i dont take betting odds seriously at the start of the season. the 2 favorites for this season were the lakers and the nets, and the lakers one didnt even make any sense because anybody that knows basketball knew that team got worse because they lost depth, they got a lot older and russ was a terrible fit. in 2020 the clippers were favourites and didnt even make the conference finals
MVP isn’t always about stats, it’s about impact and him being able to slow down lebron.
Doesn't matter KD is still in your team, Steph could had said no and the team would listen.

Yes Iggy was inserted into the lineup but Skip never mentions the fact that the dubs totally changed how the team as a whole was defending LeBron from game 4 onwards. Iggy is not solely responsible for LeBron being less efficient in those games.
Iggy truly wasn't the sole reason but LeBron did struggle to shoot when he got matched up with him.
16:12 Skip calling Larry Bird a "lightskin" might be one of the funniest things he's ever said
In 2015, people forget the fall that Steph had against the Rockets. Was probably dealing with a concussion with the way he fell before getting back into rhythm

Every championship series in the history of the nba counts. There’s been sweeps and gentleman sweeps before the warriors dynasty and there will be more by other teams in the future. Skip always brings up the 2011 “Meltdown” but never brings up who else that Mavs squad beat on the road to championship.
The Trailblazers, the Kobe led 2 time defending champions, and a young KD, Harden, and Westbrook.. Its crazy that he gives them no credit
Skip looks furious talking about this 😂
Shout out to the Teams that passed on Steph Y'all are the real MVPs. 🤣🤣🤣

It's baffling at this point I would pay a lot to see a slapping contest including Skip and his all time hating team.
Since Steph Curry won his 1st FMVP ill put him above old school Isiah Thomas (I had him 3rd best pg since Zeke also has 1 FMVP). Steph now needs 1 more Championship, 1 more MVP to pass Magic and be considered best PG ever
Isiah won 2 rings beating Jordan, Bird and Magic. If Larry Bird went to the Pistons like KD went to GS he would have 4 as well. I still got Isaiah over Curry but barley.

He's been better than Isaiah Thomas for about 5ys now 🤣🤣😭😭😭
Notice how this stipulation of having multiple MVPs, which we all know MVPs are EXTREMELY subjective and based on much more than pure skill and talent (marketability), conveniently keeps Kobe Bryant out of the conversation. All Kobe is missing is 1 more MVP. He should have had at least 2 total, and that's being unbelievably conservative. But alas, the NBA did NOTwant Kobe being the face of the league. The only reason why he even got 1 is because it was becoming obvious they just weren't giving it to him because his reputation had been tarnished.
The steph hate is less having to do with KD and more to do with Discrediting Lebron for 2016, because if Steph really is as terrible as Skip makes him out to be, that finals run wasn’t as impressive as we remember
