Thank you so much for sharing this technique. I hate having to deal with the ends and / or making an envelope border . It just makes the project longer to finish.😊
Very interesting! Are you meant to work so tightly and with such a large hook like you're using, or was that just what you had handy? Also, how do color changes work and carrying yarn? Also, how do the charts work? How many times do you crochet the same row? And do you always make a row of single crochet on the back? How often do you switch colors? So many questions. Do you have a full tutorial here or written somewhere that I could access?? I'm only familiar with overlay.
This is fascinating ❣💐🌸🏵🌹🥀🌺🌻🌼🌷⚘❣ But i think im going to have to have hubby grind a pointy hook for me to catch that back loop one row down fir that dropdown single crochet. Its not the first time he has done that for me with a larger hook i used for a rug i made. Mmm, mabe i'll just do a thick heavy blanket instead with this method?!! Do you have other patterns? I will checkout ur channel! 🥰
Thank you for showing this! I'd learned "basic" which I thought? was "overlay" mosaic crochet, was about to dive into an "interlock" mosaic pattern, but had never heard of "interlay," which I really like! Now I'm confused, as I also see "inset" on the internet, which seemed like there were FOUR mosaic types, but now I'm wondering if the term is slightly different in the US and England?
Hiya, to start the project, just work a chain of the required length then 2 rows UK dc (US sc) in each colour. The interlay technique starts at row 3 of the chart.
@@mcmamamakes6237 i am sorry not sure what you mean front post stitches go from front to back around a post and come back out (re-emerge) in the front ,
I have posted a photo on my FaceBook page. You are right: front post would usually go through the work. But in mosaic crochet, the dds sit on the surface, so doing a front post stitch in mosaic would not go through the work.
After posting in my FB group, some of the wise members have named the stitch. It is a type of front post stitch that is placed.... I have forgotten already 🤣🤣🤣 Anyway, there is a photo on my page ☺️
I am not trying to offend anyone, or claim anyone's technique as my own. If you are able to send me details of a name for this technique, I will happily reference it and update all my patterns. I searched so long for a mosaic technique like this because but I couldn't find one at all.....
I do know why you are going off like this but you actually just described exactly how a cute little design is made. Interlocking is simply filet crochet with a cute name. Mosiac crochet is a combo of 2 stitches in a row to make a design. All patterns are just stitches put together.
It's so refreshing to see someone holding their hook like I do and tight work. Thank you for this wonderful video. Very pretty.
Interlay mosaic looks like the perfect mosaic technique. Thank you. Hope you will be posting a lot more videos using interlay mosaic.
Thank you!! Lovely, practical, appreciated. Pleaaaase, more videos on this technique. ♥

Yes, but the results are fabulous. This technique is great too

INGENIOUS! Thanks for sharing. 🪷
Love your tutorial 😊 makes it seem so easy ❤️
Can you use overlay mosaic charts to make interlay crochet projects please?
Thank you for sharing.. you are amazing.

That was very enlightening! Thanks very much! 💜
Can you use any overlay chart for interlay crochet project? If not what is the difference between the overlay charts and the interlay charts?
I'm new to this, I've done the Overlay mosaic pattern, do you start the same way
Fantastic! ❤
One thing that confuse me is how do you know to choose your color of the design and the background color to start with?
I know you have been busy however can you show a project on how to start the project please? McMama?

Hopefully all your questions will be answered by my tutorial video 😀
so your drop down stitches are front post stitches ?

I think i would call that a frontpost drop double crochet down stitch by two, lol. That was a mouthfull! 😂
YES, they are FPDC around the SC rows below.
Am doing a mosoia 1:42
Hi love do you all ways crochet tight
Its impossible understand if you dont do it since beginning how someone can understand ? i have watched it four times and i coud not understand
Just do overlay crochet. Far less clunky, and none of the loops at the back.
Need subtitles and counts in English please or patterns
So post stitches.
Just by renaming a couple of already existing techniques doesn't make it yours to claim as new...sorry but this is not new and you claiming that you googled but couldn't find anything similar so you "developed" your own technique is, well lack of searching skills??? I found tutorials of this so called new technique dated several years old...Sorry, but I don't think it's very fair to crochet designers, or tutorials makers out there that put lots of time and effort in making beautiful things to just run of with their makings and just renaming it and claiming it your own. ©️

Please do a video from starting point please Amy.
@mcmamamakes6237 don't even pay any attention to those kind of people. And domt change anything you are amazing and your patterns are amazing.
