Sweet video! I fell in love with Etsy over here in the States just within the past six or seven months or so; the list of Etsy-sourced items for my upcoming wedding has just continued growing! Great Video! But calling it the "SS" Collection sounds a bit weird to me, because of the historic background, but I love the idea behind it.

Could you educate me about the historic background? English is not my mother tongue… I know that one S stands for summer but what does the other stands for? Thank you!
In this case with Etsy it's Sustainable Summer, but SS also stands for SchutzStaffel, Hitler's military. The Nazis had flags with two symbols (runes, actually) that look like two S's or lightning bolts. That's the symbol for the Schutzstaffel.
@Mmlemonade The very short version of the historic background is that the Nazi´s had an Organisation called "Schutzstaffel" which Hitler used to oppress and dominate People and I think thats not something Etsy wants, so its a misleading and inappropriate shortcut.

It's just the alliterative initials for Sustainable Summer. Can nobody in Europe use two S's together? I'm an American, so this is obviously a cultural thing that we don't understand.
