I have the same bags, with the large duffel, for my DRZ. I've camped out of them for four days, and that's about the limit for me. Any more than that and I need more storage. They've held up pretty well though. I've chucked the bike down the trail several times and there's no appreciable damage. Definitely well worth the money.
I tried that, but no success. I even left a review, but they won't post it to their website. Only portion of my review they posted were the two pictures I attached to it. I wish I had as good experience with them as the majority. Going to give rhinowalk a try next time. @@2WR
I'm glad you did this review since I'm trading in the 1290 for a 690 in the spring and need some kind of storage but nothing big since I'm mostly a day rider.
For softbags, I have these and their Olympus rack setup on my 990. They have the larger version of these bags called the Highland 2s and 2 or 3 other types of soft bags.
I like how small yet capable these bags appear to be without having to get the larger Highland 2 bags by Tusk... Dumb question, but I will ask anyway. With the KTM 890 OEM tail rack AND these bags, do you think the Nelson Rig Hurricane tail/backpack bag can mount up together as a set? I ask because I like the nelson tail bags better than Tusk Tail bags, yet I like these Tusk pannier bags more than Nelson's.
@@2WR and the setup is not too akward with these protuding rear side panels? Im having difficulty fitting my Giant Loop Coyote because of those panels. Im wondering if these Tusk would fit better
thx for the video, been wondering which setup. i think you made up my mind 😁
Just hammered the crap out of them again yesterday and they were great again.
Cool. I really like the Tusk hard pannier set up but they have not come out with the racks for my POS yet...
I'm sure they'll come out at some point with it only having been out a little over a year.

Glad they've been working out for you.
Holy cow you read my mind this weekend and got the video done lol. Curious how this works out.
LOL, figured I'd share my experience with them.
They do fit well on the bike. Nice and out of the way!
Yea, I like that they’re outta the way. No impediment to riding seated or standing.
I used these for the NEBDR. Had 1 night of rain and all my stuff got wet. had pools of water in the dry bags... awful.
I’d contact RMATVMC for a refund or replacement. I’ve been using mine you’re awhile with no issue. Sounds like u may have gotten a bad set.

For the price, they're tough to beat and if you ever get rid of the 690 and buy something else they're pretty much universal.
What different model of bags do they make? Nice review 👍🏽

Should work fine. I use an old Nelson Rigg tailpack along with this bags.
So still liking the bags?
Yep. Using them on this weekend’s ADV ride again.

Yes guy, “big dirt bikes, who really cares?” 👍🏻
