My Eyes adored You by F.V. One of the sweetest most beautiful songs about first love, just makes you cry for your childhood hopes, dreams and lost love .It is simply beautiful. Please listen guys , you will not regret it .. 🙏🏻 ❤️
This was my girlfriend and my song we were together for 3 years, she died of leukemia in our sophomore year of high school. Soon after I joined the marines and served in Vietnam 70/71. I still have pictures of her RIP Roxanne.
It's a hard thing that not a one of us. Not a creature on the earth can live without suffering. I'm sorry friend. Christian Civilization became the greatest in recorded history precisely because it is an innately sane way to live. Fierce pagan nations ultimately recognized the Divine truth inherent in it. Christianity not only makes sense of suffering, it ennobles and transforms it. Suffering is the human condition. The ultra wealthy, the dirt poor and everyone in between suffers in this vale of tears. No creature gets off this rock without suffering. Remember that the whole of man’s history has been the story of dour combat with the powers of evil, stretching, so our Lord tells us, from the very dawn of history until the last day. Finding himself in the midst of the battlefield, man has to struggle to do what is right, and it is at great cost to himself, and aided by God’s grace, that he succeeds in achieving his own inner integrity
Jay & Amber, you'll love his "Who Loves You", "Sherry" and "My Eyes Adored You"!!! Fun Fact: Frankie Valli was given the choice of being in the movie “Grease” or singing the title song. He chose the song, which was written by Barry Gibb! Good choice. There's a Broadway play called Jersey Boys about Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons, so they were legendary!
"Who loves you" is my favorite Frankie Valli song. I was lucky enough to see "Jersey Boys" 4 times live here in Las Vegas a a couple different venues and it never disappoints.
I saw it on Broadway and man was that cast great, but I heard the Vegas cast was just as good! I really loved their story though too. Just a really great musical all around!
Please, Please"My Eyes Adored You" next.by Frankie Valli. Everyone loves Frankie, young and old alike. From the 60s forward. He's in his 80's now and still sounds great.
Y'all gotta do F.Valli's Sherry, Big Girls Don't Cry, and Rag doll. I think you'll find Jordan, he gives your boy Barry a run for his money in the falsetto department.😆lol Also, where you've heard that little snippet from is probably Lauren Hill, she did a cover of that song too on her album (Miseducation).
In the late 1950s, Elvis Presley was drafted into the Army; Chuck Berry put in jail; Buddy Holly/Big Bopper/Richie Valenz killed in a plane crash; Eddie Cochrane killed in an accident; Jerry Lee Lewis was publicly ostracized (married his young cousin); and Little Richard "retired." By the beginning of 1959, the creative, socially progressive monster of rock & roll was all but killed in the USA. Rock & roll was replaced by a "clean cut" group of young crooners influenced by the Rat Pack. 1959 to around 1963 were America's era of whitewashed popular culture (a musical dark age). Acts like Jan & Dean and the Beach Boys started to fill the void of rock & roll, but they were clean cut, white, and played totally nonthreatening music. Without the Beatniks rediscovering (and supporting) classic blues, jazz, and folk singers... without the British Invasion... without counterculture rejecting the generic crooners... America's musical extension of the country's racial division would never have improved and broken through.
Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons was another group I grew up with in the 60's. They had so many great hits together such as "Sherry", "Walk Like a Man", "Candy Girl", "Let's Hang On!", "Working My Way Back to You", "I've Got You Under My Skin" etc. When Frankie went out on his own in the 70's, the songs "My Eyes Adored You" & "Can't Take My Eyes Off You" were big hits for him. Also he had a hit with the song "Grease" from the movie. Always loved that he was able to sing in a falsetto voice.
Frankie Valli - Theme from Grease should absolutely be coming soon. The Bee Gees wrote it specifically with him in mind, and they told the producers if Frankie didn't get to sing it, they would withdraw the song.
If you liked Frankie Valli, both of you have GOT to see the movie 'Jersey Boys'... it's the story of Frankie and the Four Seasons and its incredible to believe but it is a true story and you get to learn the back stories of where and how all their hit songs came from.
Let me make one small correction, Jersey Boys is the story of the Four Seasons in which Frankie Valli was one of its member. They were Bob Gaudio, Tommy Devito, Nick Massi, and Frankie Valli. Whereas Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons came in after the four members broke up.
@@breckrichardson390 Dude, I’ve seen both the musical and the movie. For pure entertainment the musical can’t be beat, but for informational presentation the movie did a better job of getting the story out there. Then, there’s the cost and ease of access. It’ll cost them upwards of $200 for just the 2 of them and closer to $500 if the take the kids including dinner and parking. The movie will cost them $3.95 or $5.95 for the HD version. For the money they’re saving they can cater the dinner and still save $300 on the evening AND the kids can watch and enjoy the story as well. Think it through.
HEY GUYS,,, WATCHING YOU TWO GETTING INTO THIS MUSIC!! JUST MAKES MY HEART JUST SMILE!!!!!! I STARTING LISTENING TO MUSIC MY JUNIOR YEAR IN HIGH SCHOOL!! 1956!!!! If you've ever seen the show "Full House," he sang part of this song live in an 8th season episode. Two guys were fighting for DJ, and the rich guy hired Frankie to sing this at the park. He had the park wired. :)
Frankie valli has a high and low voice and in between and he can work with his voice to adapt to the music and the group was phenomenal he eventually went solo later in his career but occasionally gets together with his friends to sing at special events
My Man! Frankie Valli!! Been a fan since 1962! This song was written by the 4 Seasons composing team but was a big departure from Seasons songs, with the jazzy horn parts. A huge hit! And Hand claps!! Great reaction, Guys! You got the Point!! So happy you love it.
You two are so adorable and so appreciative of our music! I just love to hear your take on songs I grew up on. To tell you the truth, you are helping me see our music in a different light and realize how very lucky I was to grow up in the time I did! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
I've always thought this (along with My Eyes Adored You) were both by Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. I had no idea until now when I just looked it up that they were from his solo career. My mind is a bit blown right now.
What a beautiful song that was so well done. Frankie Valli and the 4 Seasons had hits in the 60's and mid 70's. The group started out their career with 3 straight number one singles, from 1962 to 1963. My favorite songs by them were RAG DOLL, WHO LOVES YOU and LET'S HANG ON. Love you guys going back to the 60's and early and mid 70's.
I sing this to my Grand Daughter, I have since she was a baby, and she still closes her eyes, and holds my hand when I do. We were young parents, and my oldest was a young Mom, so I was only 38 when I became a Grandpa. She is almost nine now, and I still sing this to her to get her to sleep. Great job you guys, you always bring me such joy! Thanks!!!

Most of the time the high voice is the drummer. Watch late december 63 or who loves you baby. Also, this song was featured in the movie " 10 things I hate about you". That scene is hysterical!!
Frankie Valli has the best falsetto voice I ever heard, but you keep reacting to songs that he's really not using it. Please react to "Sherry" by the Four Seasons.
I was just hittin' adolescence and had no experience with music when I heard Sherry on the radio and I was hooked! I stopped in the middle of a Minnesota field and listened in wonder, my tender ears were pierced by that wail and never recovered.
Also Beggin & Who Loves you. These are a Fantastic Group & singer with numerous chat hits here in England & in the U.S.A & Worldwide. Love the range & lyrics. Grease is another great song. Ty for the post & reactions. I’m catching up with all your back catalogue lol
I could listen to these two share their joy for the rest of my life!! I can’t wait for them to cut into the song and share their feelings Please you guys never stop!!
Love his song “My Eyes Adore You”. He also had the theme song from “Grease” also called “Grease”. Love Frankie Valli saw him in concert during Italian Fest in Chicago many years ago 🔥Living Legend❤️
Thank you for posting this! I realize I'm late with the comment, but you mentioned the crooners. There's a video online featuring Valli and the Four Seasons singing I've Got You Under My Skin on the Ed Sullivan show in 1966. Sinatra originally made the song a standard with his rendition. The Seasons recorded it with a different arrangement. You may find the two contrasting styles to the song interesting.
Ahh...Frankie V & the 4 seasons. Takes me back to my childhood, playing in the school yard and listening to that transistor radio! No cares, no worries just the beautiful sun! ☀️💛❤💛
One of the icon bands of that Era of music, I've been a Ballroom Dance Instructor for 26 years and this is still a really popular song that couples do their first dance too still today.
This is one if my absolute fave Frankie Valli songs, many have covered it over the years. I think a 60s tune. It may not show his range, but it shows off what a wonderful crooner he was. Pop, rock, crooner, he could do it all. Boy, those Jersey boys can sing!!!!
I was born April 1954, same as Rock And Roll. My music collection is over the top ridiculously massive. I grew up with the music you react to. Have a Splendid Successful Day
He’s amazing and I enjoy him in his acting roles. Tons of people covered this song, I’m sure you have heard it more than just on Tiktok. He started going deaf in the 60s until surgery in 1980 returned most of his hearing. Can you imagine singing when you can’t even hear?
I understand that they are “hearing this for the first time” but if you listen with half an ear you can hear the musicians gearing up for the big chorus. At least let it play out for a verse/chorus round before stopping.
If you ask me, this song is a timeless love song! Plus, it gives such an uplifted surge of feel-goodness! ✌❤😊 Who Loves You -would be a terrific second song!🎶🎧 when Frankie was with the group The Four Seasons
One of the first albums I ever bought. I got 6 “free” albums from Columbia Record House not knowing that I had to buy 6 more over the following year. (Always read the fine print). I was only ten at the time, so my dad was able to get me out of the contract hahaha. That song brings back a lot of memories. It’s a modern day classic for sure. And yes, Frankie Valli was definitely a crooner. Thanks for the great video
I think I have said this to you before when listened to the 4 Seasons in that Frankie was the lead singer. There is a Tony winning musical on Broadway still, Jersey Boys, about the 4 Seasons, and a movie by the same name (actually directed by Clint Eastwood) This song was Frankie’s first beak-out hit when the original 4 Seasons broke up. Bob Gaudio (keyboard player for the original group) wrote this song especially for Frankie.
This takes me back to Junior high school. It’s just so smooth. Hey guys, how about a new version of Linda Ronstadt as you requested. This is “Big Band Linda” singing “What’s New” ua-cam.com/video/GInIoX-jwjQ/v-deo.html. You will not be disappointed in this stunning live performance with the Nelson Riddle Orchestra. Love you guys 🌺✌️
Of course, Frankie had a long string of big hits with The Four Seasons. You two listened to "Oh What a Night" which was the Four Seasons WITHOUT him. He also had another solo hit, "My Eyes Adored You" that you would like, and there were others.
Amber I hope you don't find this comment odd, because it is meant in the best way possible. I'm a painter. And when you were listening to the first verse with your eyes closed and just getting lost in the music, you had a look on your face that reminded me of Renaissance paintings of Mary with that beautiful, serene expression of spiritual ectasy combined with just a hint of mystery. Oh if I could capture that expression on canvas.
Jay if you want to hear his singing range you need to hear "Sherry" or "Walk Like A Man" they are bangers with The Four Seasons.
Completely Agree!
Definitely!!
YESSIREE
Also they had a hit with "Ragdoll".
I love him with the Four Seasons
One of the most beautiful written songs EVER!! And his voice absolutely makes me MELT!!

You kids don't have to "take it" from us. It's yours as much as it's ours, and we're glad to share it with y'all.
If you really want to see what his falsetto can do you need to check out Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons singing Sherry.

that and _Big Girls Don't Cry_

3:21 I can't believe they're stopping this when they're stopping it. Killing this reaction. 😢
I agree. They stop it at the wrong times. I do not think they have realized when crescendos are coming.
I understand that they are “hearing this for the first time” but if you listen with half an ear you can hear the musicians gearing up for the big chorus. At least let it play out for a verse/chorus round before stopping.
The first concert I ever went to was Frankie Valley and the Four Seasons in 1963. What a voice.
I love the Four Seasons. Franki Valli is a Legend. My faves are Opus 17 and C'mon Marianne.
FRANKIE IS A CLASS ACT AND HE IS STILL PERFORMING LOVE HIM
If you ask me, this song is a timeless love song! Plus, it gives such an uplifted surge of feel-goodness! ✌❤😊 Who Loves You -would be a terrific second song!🎶🎧 when Frankie was with the group The Four Seasons
This song was a song I listen to back when he came out alot great song
One of the first albums I ever bought. I got 6 “free” albums from Columbia Record House not knowing that I had to buy 6 more over the following year. (Always read the fine print). I was only ten at the time, so my dad was able to get me out of the contract hahaha. That song brings back a lot of memories. It’s a modern day classic for sure. And yes, Frankie Valli was definitely a crooner.
Thanks for the great video
I remember that scam!
My Eyes Adored You by Franki is a beautiful song
You HAVE to listen to Frankie singing "My Eyes Adored You".
Surf Mesa remixed a cover version of the chorus of this song, called "ILY (I Love You Baby)". That's where you heard it from.
Or they heard the Fugees cover from the movie Conspiracy Theories or something like that
Jay , Amber glad you came back to Frankie next song should be ' Who loves you ' y'all love the instrumental on it and good song
This takes me back to Junior high school. It’s just so smooth. Hey guys, how about a new version of Linda Ronstadt as you requested. This is “Big Band Linda” singing “What’s New”
ua-cam.com/video/GInIoX-jwjQ/v-deo.html. You will not be disappointed in this stunning live performance with the Nelson Riddle Orchestra. Love you guys 🌺✌️
From the same album, I really loved her rendition of "Skylark".
More Frankie. ‘Oh what a night’ is a must
Of course, Frankie had a long string of big hits with The Four Seasons. You two listened to "Oh What a Night" which was the Four Seasons WITHOUT him. He also had another solo hit, "My Eyes Adored You" that you would like, and there were others.
Frankie Valli sings on "December 1963" just not the lead.
Frankie sings on "De
One of the best songs ever composed honestly
I love this song!!! Always have. This song was great in the movie 10 things I hate about you. Heath Ledger!!
This song always reminds me of Conspiracy Theory (1997).
SOOOO good- go back and listen to it without any pauses...and dance!
