I know this stitch for years but have kind of "forgotten" it. I learnt to knit and crochet at age 4.5 y/o and have done it now 65 years. I like after all these years to watch videos about patterns. I find reminders that give me new ideas where to use them again. I just never can watch these videos near my bed time. I start getting ideas what to do next and can't fall asleep!😂 This channel has very clear instructions for beginners. Thank you for posting this. ❤
Bella is best. That's for sure. I've been crocheting a week and I've mastered (in US terms) the single, half-double, double, and treble crochet stitches thanks to her! #BestTeacherEverrrrrrrrr
Thank you for this great tutorial. I've seen other videos on this stitch but not one starting from the beginning. Thank you again Sarah Jayne. Hugs to you 🤗🤗🤗
You are the BEST instructor ever! I don't know how many times I tried this stitch watching other videos & didn't grasp it until now. Thank you so much!
Thank you so much! I'm doing a set of potholders/trivets (in cotton) as a wedding gift for my granddaughter and was looking for a unique stitch. I may not even have to double the thickness! Thanks for using both US and UK terms!
Excellent video. As soon as I saw the thumbnail I wanted to learn how to make it. Love the look. Your instructional skills are fantastic. You make a stitch that’s somewhat complex seem approachable even for a relative beginner. Thank you
Thank you for this your excellent instructions on this Honeycomb stitch. I am making an afghan with this stitch using 4 different colors of Bernat Baby Blanket using a 12mm hook. So far it looks great, but I tend to get too tight with my crocheting, so I thought I’d mention this for anyone making an afghan. Also, joining the next color was tricky, but I finally got it after listening to your videos. Thanks again Sarah, I love all your videos your a great teacher. I do miss your monthly boxes though… 🤷♀ Patricia Barrow
Looks intimidating but your instructions are very clear and think I will give it a try. I also thought the first 4 rows would make a nice border/edging to a blanket.
I love your vlogs sm! You amazing, You haven't been uploading much lately is everything alright OR are you just struggling to fit it in with your time? Your projects are so good - I learnt to crochet from you. I am very lucky to have found your channel Xxx
Hey! I’ve just had a lot on with working on another book and building my membership. Lots going on behind the scenes but hoping to get back to uploading more soon x
I’m glad you like it! 😊 To increase it’s simply a case of working more than one stitch into the same space, which I would do on a row three or five where you work the extended double crochet stitches.
Thank you for the tutorial. I decided to use this stitch to make a blanket out of this super fluffy chenille yarn I found, however, because of how fluffy the chenille is, the stitch kinda "disappears"? You don't really see the texture as defined
Hi!! I’m new to your channel, and have found your tutorials easier to follow than other teachers, so thank you. Would you consider a tutorial for a skull pattern such as those on the “lost souls shawl” I just can’t follow written patterns and would be willing to pay for such content. Thanks.
I am struggling with this, but i am using a braid cord with 4.0 hook. Do you think that maybe this stitch patten is not working because of the yarn I'm using? Mine is not looking like yours and I've done it at least 8x! Please help me understand this stitch pattern, because I'm wanting to make a purse with it! Thank you!
Morning Jayne and followers . Please can you tell me how many chain using chunky wool to make a 1.3 m by 1.3 m. We having a crochet marathon 24 hrs end of April to make blankets for an Old Age Home. I love this and have so much chunky wool in all colour's and this looks so easy and fast. 🤗 Thank you for your lovely patterns. If you have a blanket chart that would be also awesome. 😂
You should have an odd number of stitches; to begin with you’ll chain an odd number and add one for turning, but the extra chain doesn’t count as a stitch so you’ll still have an odd number 😊
same. it takes practise! 1mnth ago I tried it and I couldn't. I came back to it 2 weeks ago and i'm getting better! Maybe try again I really think you can do it! Xx

Practise makes perfect - It is defiantly not a beginners stitch but even beginners can attempt it and they can do it after more and more practise! Xxxx ps: You can try and attempt it over again. I am a beginner to and I will try it I will let you know how it comes out.

Thank you! I’m picturing a blanket but first, I’m making slippers.
Suggestion: put dots or lines of hot glue on the soles so that you have "non-slip" slippers!😊
You're welcome :)
Beautiful! Thank you so much!🩷

Morning happy Saturday, you left-handed? Nice 💯im new I . Just started about 3 weeks ago
Hi Jenn, how's your day going with you?
Would make a great handbag. 😊
Yes it would wouldn't it :)
Can this be worked in the round?
Buenos días bendiciones para ti y toda tu familia eso puntada está bonita para una manta dé bebé
It would be lovely for a baby blanket.
Lol u so helpfully
So nice
It's a lovely stitch isn't it :)
This stitch is beautiful. How would you go about making increases in this stitch if you were making something that needs to get wider at one point.
I’m glad you like it! 😊 To increase it’s simply a case of working more than one stitch into the same space, which I would do on a row three or five where you work the extended double crochet stitches.

I can only chrochet with cotton dk as I’m allergic to man made fibres xxx

Its beautiful. But going wrong at row 3 at the end ?
Are you gonna ever sell your Athena hook again?? I just started crocheting and those seemed perfect.
Got on well in the centre but the beginning and ends of rows never seem to work out for me. It is a lovely stitch.
Thank you!
Iike it 😍
Is this a good stitch for a blanket?
Yes, it would make a beautiful blanket :-)

This would depend on your personal tension and hook size. Maybe you could do a swatch and work it out from there :)
hi! do you have any videos on how to crochet a dino?
Sorry I don't have anything like this :)
I think theres a mistake in row 5. Start with extended stitch and finish with extended stitch? But how if my row is even #s?
You should have an odd number of stitches; to begin with you’ll chain an odd number and add one for turning, but the extra chain doesn’t count as a stitch so you’ll still have an odd number 😊
I get what your saying .But mine just turnes out in a big higalty mess 😢
same. it takes practise! 1mnth ago I tried it and I couldn't. I came back to it 2 weeks ago and i'm getting better! Maybe try again I really think you can do it! Xx
Podrian poner las explicaciones en español xq en ese idioma no entiendo

If the UK DC is the US SC then what does the UK SC look like🤔
We don't have a Single Crochet in the UK :)
How did😅
I chain 50
❤ I ë uh
Looks so hard.
It's definitely a more advanced stitch, but gets easier with practice. It helps me to slow down the video speed in the settings. ❤

At 1st it was har. I tried a few more times and now it's getting better (not the best)! Xx
@Anna-px9bd ill give it another go
