This one has been a long time coming, we are finally starting! Camp Epic is something we have been working on for the last 5years. Planning and getting permissions. It's the whole reason I have been doing this youtubes and everything I have been doing has lead up to this.
Camp Epic is a glamping Campsite we are building in the forest! we are consented for 48 people to come camp with us in full luxury! This series is going to show you the full off grid build and build process!

That first Laugh man... I already know you were so hyped after all of that work to get that open field... Good on ya Bud Im hoping to do the same thing out in nowhere pt 2
Amazing! Looking forward to watching all the videos of how this unfolds. Brilliant idea!
Cheer Rob, you are gona HAVE come visit buddy!
YAY! Great Plan! Great Work!!! 👍🏻😅😁
Shot mate. Been heaps of work to even get it to this point. New vids every week.
So when you have a shower you’ll be able to look up and see a stunning bush 🤔 sounded a bit risky that mate but, we know you meant 😆
Haha, forest not bush.
Where is this ?
Well, done Jules.
How many acres is this?
We are responsible for around 15 and probably use around 4.
@@juliangoulding thanks for the answer but I want to clarify. This camp is built on the 4 acres? I'm asking because I just bought 36 acres and I'm trying to get a rough idea of what's possible. I love what you did with yours btw
Yeah it's a rough estimate. Everything is within a 60m radius of the kitchen. Its in the middle of a massive native forest park so it all feels alot more spacious than it is.
@@juliangoulding awesome thanks for responding. What state is this if you don't mind me asking? If you don't wanna say its cool.
How much would you estimate it would cost to get full hookups installed for RV's?
Tough to guess. It's all going to depend on what you council requirements are. The first thing we did when starting this process was have a meeting with the local council and outlined the project and they gave us an idea of what we needed. I don't think it would be that much more than this cost if you planned to have RVs from the beginning.
So this is a full commercial build with a pretty much future proofed plumbing setup and the plumbing bill came to around nz$160k. That's all the plumbing & fixtures, gray water, rain waiter catchment, gas, water treatment & storage, everything. Hope that helps, main advice go talk to council first.
Need to cycle the Timber Trail and check this out!
Livin the dream bud!!! Well done!!
Is this near the Timber Trail? I admire you guys' enterprise!
It's right on the trail just south of piropiro
@@juliangoulding Very nice, when do you expect to be up and running?
@@electricbazza we have bookings for October so better get a move on!
Watching this in 2021, when I plan to build a camp ground in India. I will go through every video, and hope you dont mind me asking questions. FYI: ignore my channel name.. haha
We're abouts r u dude. How's it going
This is in the Pureora Forest. I live in Ongarue. Going really well, been open about 8 weeks and everyone is loving it!
@@juliangoulding what's ur charge for a caravan on the site dude. Only started watching ur videos last nyt had come across it. We're guna be traveling all over nz so thought we myt call in for a stay
@@juliangoulding what's ur camp site called so we can look it up if that's alright.
It's called Camp Epic
That´s cool mate, but are you not scared of snakes or other creatures in the wildness? :)
Nothing like that here man, nz has no snakes. Just pretty birds.
@@juliangoulding Cool, good luck with the project :)
Snakes are ILLEGAL in New Zealand! No joke, we take it seriously, you could go to jail if you had a snake.
