In our pre-teen years, we were just beginning to absorb all the rock and pop music coming through our radios (and our big sisters' record collections) and the Everly Bros in 1962 may have been our first major exposure to harmonized voices that still remain in our memories. What a beautiful version of that song! Emily says well-constructed songs never get old. Even in the rich music era of the '60s we always thought the future would come up with something better. I don't think we appreciated just how good our own songs were, that they would transcend and be honored with new versions. This is very satisfying.
