The Moral Letter to Lucilius are a collection of 124 letters which were written by Seneca the Younger at the end of his life, during his retirement, and written after he had worked for the Emperor Nero for fifteen years. (These Moral Letters are the same letters which Tim Ferriss promotes in the Tao of Seneca)

It is telling, the way Seneca remarks on old adults who act as children and appear to hold the mindset of a child. As we grow in years, we do ourselves a disservice if we do not also growing in wisdom and maturity.
What a wonderful channel! What a philosopher, and reading! Thank you! ❤

"For it is not boyhood that still stays with us, but something worse,-boyishness. And this condition is all the more serious because we possess the authority of old age, together with the follies of boyhood, yea, even the follies of infancy. Boys fear trifles, children fear shadows, we fear both.", this part sounds like what Freud talks about i.e. how the childhood we had continues to shape our everyday.
Everything gets a dislike these days.

Why worry about the thoughts of lesser mortals. Not a stoic thing to say, but I had to.
Hi Robin,
Enjoying the content. Will you be uploading the rest of the letters from Seneca in the future?
