Can a Cybertruck Tow while Charging? (Part 1ish)

- Update: OK, I'm going to call this Part 1. My camera moved on me and I didn't figure out a way around it until after I uploaded this video. Kinda a way around it anyway. I'm working on Part 2 now.
I know it'll tow a Model 3, but can it tow while charging a Model 3? Remember, I'm on my own here. No sponsors, no monetary income. I had camera issues and didn't realize it until I was almost done with the video and I didn't have the trailer long enough to re-record. So this was what I have for you. I tow the Model 3 while charging it 75 MPH up a highway for 20 miles. So, I do more than the 30 MPH the video shows. - Наука та технологія
The towing range can't get any worse... Scotty says hold my beer 😂
Towing and charging 😅
Now if you could charge the cybertruck from the model 3, and then supercharge both at a supercharger, that would be amazing.
Yup. That’d save SC stations.
Hey man. I was shocked it only used less than 1000 W/Mile. Most towing their RVs are getting over a 1000 and they aren’t charging at 220
Now tow another Cybertruck and use the towed vehicle to charge the towing vehicle to double your range.
Someone did tow a CT with a CT, but I don’t think he charged. Also, you can’t charge the vehicle you’re driving while charging.
Next test for fun, tow the model 3 but keep wheels spinning to regen!
It'd have to be in gear and someone in the seat, then yep.
The consumption would be incredibly high, cause at 30mph the model 3 can be regenerating up to 50kw.
Can you try it with a Lightning to compare? You can use mine if you want. And how about using a front wheel tow dolly trailer?
It'd be tough to schedule. I'm a 3am to 6pm guy. I'm not opposed to trying, but I no longer own that trailer I used.
Can you turn rear steering off for backing a trailer?
If you go into Off Road mode, you can.
182mpge combined?
But if he would have just *also* plugged the Cybertruck into the Model 3 at the same time the Model 3 is plugged into the Cybertruck... ...

Bad idea, with the tilt and roll of the vehicle during travel the pyro fuse may detonate.
It's also for this simple reason whenever mobile service goes to your house to for example even replace a single tire the car must not be charging due to this risk. The vehicle must be stationary while charging.
Everyone knows the outlet won't be usable while the truck is moving.
Unless something changed recently
Outlet works fine while moving.
It's not a very efficient thing to do as energy is lost through charging and towing. Better off driving one or the other.
The Ford F-150 Powerboost can tow and charge both those at the same time 😂
Ya but then you’re driving a Ford, so there’s always a downside. 🤣
Ford hybrid could do it which never have to worry getting 100mile per full charged,
Hybrid is the worse of both worlds. It has a small gas engine and a small battery. I wish you luck with the hybrid.
Does this mean we can now have done with those memes showing an idiot EV driver being charged by an ICE truck because a bi-directional capable EV would be coming out to assist stranded drivers roadside? I would enjoy no longer being trolled by my no-clue-having non EV owner acquaintances.
Not 100% sure what you said, but I’ll thumbs up it. ☺️
58%- 64% in 30 minutes?
30 minutes of filling up my tank on my 1991 Mercedes 250TD wagon would let me fill up about 6 times, and each tank would let me go 600 miles. 3600 ish miles. You got 6% in that time and you're excited?
Color me unimpressed.
youtube recommended you the wrong video.
This is a pointless demonstration.
If a car needs tow, there is no need to charge or fill its gas tank.
If a car needs charge/gas, then just fill it.
Combining both is just a dumb idea.
