Dumbass, lamp is good for genji as they all group up on the lamp where you can kill them easier
Lamp, why u do this to me
Josiah Golden has to waste two slashes on the lamp, which takes 2.4 seconds for two blade swings. If you don’t get CCed within that time, the enemy is bad. You obviously don’t play genji, don’t write a retarded comment like that and act like a fucking know it all.
@Josiah Golden, yes you can lower them a lot but you can’t kill them, you have to waste time trying to get rid of the lamp, and baptiste can heal all of them to full, giving him a bunch of ult charge.

Honestly people don't give proper respect to genji's who get good blades. My friend thinks that the genji buff makes genji op now and that "dragonblade just lets you get free kills." Most people don't understand the sheer amount of abilities and ultimates that can shut you down extremely easily.
People always find him op or broken because usually the people playing them are really good. Might as well call widow broken, or mccree broken, or hell, tracer broken because the person playing them are doing their job very well. I never understood why people find him broken with the sheer amount of counters he has still in this game
Genji isn’t OP. The people that put the time and effort into learning him are OP. Genji is honestly a really hard hero to play
You can say that about every ultimate there is always many ultimate and abilities that can shut it down
@@SuperHongTay My friend is a DPS main and the funny thing is that he actually has a lot of hours on genji. He does really good and when he pops off he always says something like "see? it's so easy". Idk he is really good at genji himself but he thinks that he just doesn't know how to play him and he is only doing good because genji is easy. He confuses me sometimes :/

I started playing genji like 3 weeks ago, I never played him too much because my best friend is a genji 1trick so he always plays him but now I wanted to try him while he's on vacation
I learned how to play him decently pretty easily and it is just too easy to wreck people, I can consistently get 3 or 4 men blades even without nano and always get 30+ kills every game
The funny thing is that he's one of my least played heroes and I'm way better with him than with heroes I have many hours on...basically the only thing you need to pop off is tracking cooldowns and general awareness...
as a dude who has never touched gameleap and just uses map geo amd mechanical skill and is currently high masters... just remember basic things
downward dashes, the blades range will definitely bail you out if your not too far away
always dash up for the nano, and remember to bait out stuns by jumping mid air
go for the support amd the dps UNLESS the tanks are low AND have no dmg reduction cooldown (orisa fortify)
dont be greedy: just get 1 or 2 kills and its enough to clean, dont always save the blade for 6Ks, in plat and above you will regret it
final: ALWAYS track ults and move accordingly
oh, mei's gonna ult when i blade? i should try and assassinate her first and then go for a potential blade
everlasting tip: JUMP, DOUBLE SPACE, DOUBLE X NO MATTER WHAT THE FUCK YOU DO USE WALLS, USE THAT DOUBLE JUMP
here's why, your hitbox actually spins during that double jump so no headshots for them and another, your hitbox shrinks significantly with your legs tucked in

More tips against heroes not mentioned in the video that are helpful.
Lucio: Dash into the air above the Lucio making sure the ana nano's you when you have dashed up and you are making your descent to kill the lucio before he can reach the ground with his beat.
Brig: Unlike other stun heroes brig can stun you and wipshot to push you completely out of range so insure you have dash available or a jump to stay above the brig.

Also wait for lucio to boop you before you use your dash. Because genjis dash will still be in range

Coach mills is the goat thank u bro for this in depth guide on genji dragon blade i hope you keep making videos. Every thing you say is right and makes sense and helps. And solo queing is a pain
All you need to learn to have god level genji blade is that slash dash animation cancel. Where you cancel the slash animation using like a 180 turn dash, learn to make those quick turn dashes, you instantly become god. Basically you slash and do 180(or any angle)dash in the same frame and it looks like you dashed away before even getting the kill, but you indeed got the kill. Saves you frames and that inturn saves you time

As a support main , i say thank you.
Always when performing a slash dash, aim your dash towards the next target so that even if you fail to secure the current kill you can quickly slash the next target and chain kills. Needs a bit of practice though.
Just practice on the Dragonblade Practice map. Really helps!

Zenyatta has nothing like that, Hog and Brig both have only one stun ability, Bast literally can't move half the time, like half the characters have no movement abilities

Blink Abyss This is the worst counter argument I’ve ever seen.
Zenyatta is the only one you mentioned that you could Dragon Blade for free provided he doesn’t build Ult before you (which is pretty easy). Trying to kill Hog with Blade is just… what are you doing man lol. Even if Hog doesn’t hook Genji, it doesn’t matter because you’re not killing him unless his E is on cooldown and/or he’s half HP. Brig has 2 CC abilities - Bash and Whipshot. So again, unless her abilities are on cooldown, you’re not killing her, because her burning both of those CCs on you puts you outside of Dragonblade’s effective range - so you traded your Ult just to put her abilities on cooldown
Blade is pretty useless without Nano against most of the roster now.
I'm just thankful that they're taking out a lot of cc in ow 2 😭

when u nanoblade then u can basically kill any target, but only targets you shouldnt go for is roadhog and dva, as u need to kill baby dva for dash reset, and hog got 300 fast heal + 50% damage decrease when he uses take a breather

som ppl say genjis ult is weak but thats not true
for example if u ult with dva and get a 4k its more than likely PURE LUCK with genji cuz it requires skill the kills are almost always guaranteed if ur good enough

If you get stunned while trying to dash up, horizontal, etc is it still safe/viable to go for kills to get a dash reset back to regain said speed and momentum without feeding?
Btw I know you have damage reduction just if u have already taken damage or have been antied, hacked, discorded etc, it is harder to have much confidence to go for more kills and dash resets
Absolutely it is. If you have expended ult then if you don’t do anything with it, it is wasted. Also genji only has 200 Hp so if you feed then at least the enemy won’t get that much ult charge.
Zenramen yeah true enemies won’t get much charge, however it is a big loss in the middle of a team fight so wouldn’t it be better to either wait out anti, or hack and then go for kills or just to not go for kills and get back safe with your team to get healed or dmg boosted so you can have a bigger advantage because you didn’t die. I’m saying this because I’ve experienced where If one dps or healer dies it can snowball into defeat
Instead of dashing into the air you can take high ground this helps scanning for targets if you can't do so in half a second also it's less obvious
I jump in the air and throw shuriken then dash through them... Or yeah be on high ground and scope first depending on situation
Dashing in the air is more obvious and even more risky if you dont have a nano

How do i find the hanamura training map
im pretty good at genji but when i blade its really hard. the most amount of kills ive gotten is 5(thats with a grav and nano) my most is 3 without grav(with nano) so i know i need help but heres the thing ive tried target prioritization but i cant process all that in a single dash up in the air. i wish i could just slow down time. i need help about that. im in plat/gold and 31 hours on genji(hes not my main, junkrat is, with 31 hours) yet i cant do anything on him even though ive spent hours in custom games and dragonblade trainers

Im really good at genji but was bad with his ult. But ive gotten way better at his ult. I look at where everyone is...then dash right through the group of enemies, activate blade,dash at a squishy, then slash blade, then look in the general direction where the next enemy is and dash again, then slash.. Then do it again. When i dash right through the group the first time they dont expect me to activate blade and they arent fast enough to react because after i activate blade i immidratly dash again then slash sword for my first kill! So most of the team wont even know exactly where i am and ive already gotten a kill and got my dash back because ive gotten that kill. Dashing in the air helps too but you gotta remember when you dash in the air the whole enemy team just saw you dash in the air and activate blade in the air and they will see you dash down. Also dashing through the enemies first means you already shaved off 40 health from 2-4 enemies so thier already one shotttable from one blade.... Or if it a target with 250 hp, they will still die because you dashed them once already, then you will dash them again then slash= they die. This is good if they have like a lucio and/or you dont have an anna on your team. Hope this helpa

the mercy and nano stack
additively so it will be 50%+30% that will give u 80% the base damage, the discord orb will stack multiplicatively so it will pick the damage already amplified and after that add +30%

u can if u get the hit dash perfectly (what is kinda unviable on a real match) but u cannot do the hit-dash-hit combo that is more reliable
