I certainly fell for your short. Certainly relieved they were not two legged kind of friends and pleased that they were the kind of friends that could change your perspective, help you focus, wouldn't shut you up for more than a moment, and very willing to share an adventure.

Sorry for your loss I know they must have felt like an extension for your creative outlet, but what a long life they had and saw many beautiful and amazing things many that you shared with others. Hope you will be replacing them with something just as reliable!

Hi Mr. Weedy- have you heard of Tera Petra Soil? It was created by the tribes in the Amazon forest. It’s amazing stuff, groups of scientists have tested soils from all over the world and found that the Tera Petra soil was the most fertile soil on earth. It can be replicated too. It’s worth checking out. Happy garden!

I totally understand your love of your cameras. I got my first camera when I was 8 years old, I'm now 60 something (I can never remember how old I am) and have wonderful memories of cameras I have used. I don't see the point of upgrading gear if what you have still gives you the images you want to share. We share two loves, photography and gardening.
Weedy, the tiny mourning camera hugs brought me to tears my friend. Your work is incredible and food for my soul. ❤

You are the first person I have come across who started by saying the Chinese has made the cameras before talking about your creative journey. Have to say, you have done a great service to humanity. Here are two lines by a Song Dynasty writer in China: “I went to the town yesterday, and returned with tears. Those who wore glossy silk dresses, did not feed the silk worms.” Reflecting on who are the ones that have made our creativity possible (not just Chinese, everyone) is what is needed in this world. It reminds me of the great book “The confession of an eco sinner.”
That’s nice and all, but I actually said that they have been “burnt in China”. They got burnt at a ship building factory in China ten yrs ago 😁😎😉 photographing the metal workers, but yes…I am glad for the folks who made them 👍

Sadly electronics and water/humidity don't mix very well. Did you not use the waterproof cases with them?
I know they can affect image quality slightly but still. We'd better all help you find a replacement so you can keep producing great images. Cheers!

Hope that the burying of the cameras is just symbolic... Mother Nature doesn't need other garbage like plastic & co.
I don't think that mother nature would be bothered by those two poor things. Burying bodies full of drugs of all sorts will surely affect her more.
