- In this video I show how I get my veggies growing great from the very beginning, by making a comfortable bed for them. When and what I plant is also pretty important if you want your garden to thrive. It’s not your average how to video because I can’t help playing while I work.
This was the next most important step in building my garden when lockdown started.
I do hope that it inspires you to get back outside and start a veggie garden of your own. It´s easy when you know how, and very satisfying.

I played this for my 7th grade science students today! They loved it! We are learning about ecosystem interactions and every time they saw an ecosystem interaction they would call it out! Lovely stumbling upon your channel here on UA-cam, David. I remember talking to you briefly some years ago about moving out of the city to be closer to nature; to lead a simpler life in many ways with less financial obligations. I guess you did just that. Very inspiring. Last year we sold the apartment and moved into a 170 year old house and a huge garden on the island of Bornholm in the middle of the Baltic Sea. We just established our own no-dig garden this spring and are already harvesting our own beautiful, nourishing vegetables. Love watching your videos and learning about how you’re doing it. Keep it up!

UA-cam recommended one of your videos over the weekend. I watched 1-4 back to back. Then I woke up this morning to this wonderful surprise. Every video fills my heart with so much love it feels like it's going to float out of my chest, my eyes with so much indescribable beauty they become blurred at times, my brain with so much knowledge it feels alive again. My smile is so big my cheeks hurt by the end of each video. Oh and my ears. Yes. The sounds you capture from your part of the world escaping from my earbuds to my eardrums are some of the best music my ears have ever heard. Really enjoyed your videos once again! I loved the short story format for showing how things were done. 😊 In the butterfly story, those 'eggs' aren't eggs, they're cocoons of a parasitic wasp larvae which prey on caterpillars! Handy little critters to have around when growing brassicas!
