    I have been doing breathing exercises for almost 3 years now, all kind of styles and techniques. And I really do enjoy your work! So, thank you very much for your dedication! One thing though, you might not be aware of: you sometimes speak very passionate about your topics - a good thing! :-) - but then also quite fast. For non-native speakers, that can be a challenge to keep up with what you're saying, especially when it gets technical.

    I saw someone after 30 years, and OMG, this guy looks exactly the same as 30 years ago.
    Back in the days, this guy used to do Zikr with very deep breaths, and I could imagine that due to this deep breathing technique, he hasn't aged

      What is Zikr

    • @AbdulHamid-mz5fl
      @AbdulHamid-mz5fl 3 місяці тому

      @nadineelizabeth195 zikr is chanting/remembering God's name in a rhythmic way and it was deep breathing that I think might be connected to his still looking the same way as 30 years ago

    I feel so lucky, and grateful to have found my way here - also via Rick Rubin and Huberman Lab!
    I've been doing at least 5 minutes of coherence breathing every day and I'm already feeling the benefits. 🙏Thank you.
    Yours is the first subscription where I've wanted to turn on notifications. There's something in the idea of guided breathing, synchronised with others, that I feel drawn to. So I'm excited to hear you taking about connecting community!
    I enjoy your bouncing ball & breathing circle graphics and I find they help me settle into the breath. This may just be a personal quirk but, in this video, I found that the rhythmic sounds impacted my breath. I've switched between this video and the initial Huberman link and I definitely breath more evenly with the more minimal chimes. Am I just being nutty?! My background is design, and my husband's music, so perhaps there's some increased sensitivity there. But I'd be interested to learn how sound, image & colour influence people in this format and to what extent responses might be universal. I very much find the red graphics in your sleep edition beneficial for encouraging sleep - so effective that I fell alseep ON my bed last night, tonight I'll make sure to be under the covers before I start! 😂
    Big love and thanks for what you do 🤍

    Where I live, opening a window is often not possible. For ex., the last 2 weeks, we had up to minus 40 Celsius. And in summer, we often get horrible air from wildfires. Hi from Alberta, Canada

      Hello I’m from Calgary. When the temperature outside gets that cold I just don’t close my bedroom window to let the air circulate. I installed a CO2 monitor in my room and when I woke up in the morning it read 5000 ppm ( door and windows were closed )

      @@findyourchappiness5246 Hi, thanks for your reply. So you keep your window open in minus 40 Cel? How is that even possible?! I would be afraid to freeze to death during the night. 5000 ppm is crazy, it's probably similar in my bedroom, no wonder I can't sleep well! I'm going to get myself one of those CO2 monitors. Hi from Edmonton : )

    Hello Mike, Firstly thank you for you fantastic work. Talking of which I wanted to ask about please, I started using a guided breath video you hosted with Wim and it was narrated on the holds by Joe Dispenza, I just loved it. It then just disappeared. Can I ask why and is it available anywhere either privately from you or can you re list it at some near date Thank you regards Terry.

    Nose breathing Warms the air. Filters it through our nose hairs. And gives us the correct amount that we need. As opposed to mouth breathing. We suck in. dirty air. cold air leading to sore throats and too much air causing anxiety abd msny more problems. Our lungs do much better with Clean. Warm.. air. You don't have to tape right across yiu can to it down from under your nose to bottom of mouth. The brain gets trained i did it for one week. Don't need to tape any more. I wake up Belly breathing which is what we Should be doing like babies. We get laxy though and shallow breath. Ive done it fir three months now. So many benefits. Love yiu tube.

    Would an Oximeter to read your blood oxygen show there is an issue with CO2 in the room? It’s certainly cheaper than a CO2 meter.

    I did try a few years ago to start a community but trying to organise on Facebook was just to awkward. On a personal note paying for this is probably going to put me off as I have to be careful with money. I be interested in hearing about other people practise, struggles and motivation for doing breathwork. In some ways I would like it to be similar to a community connecting group I started for work that took on a more therapeutic function during lockdown for those that used it.

    I have ME/CFS. Shallow breathed for 40+ years. Deep sleep rarely above 40 mins. Opened the window a crack and deep sleep increased to 50-70mins average. What an easy win! Snags: if someone's burning a wood stove/fire pit near by, it's stressful being in a bedroom where you can smell the smoke (an air pollution filter helps); also, maintaining a comfortable temperature in bed through the night if the outside air temp is dropping radically - I've yet to fully solve this one, but working on it.
