So your notched out 34 and below and above 54 to 60 on Legend I have thought of trying this before, but I have always thought it would take away to much from my depth,so how much depth do you lose?
I have dug 2 coins the size of a Large Cent at a measured 18" IN THE FIELD! I would not use any settings in the field that would decrease depth, unless I am looking to search for shallow targets in a super infested trashy site where good targets are known to be shallow. Refined settings while retaining maximum depth IS WHAT I AM ALL ABOUT! Appreciate you watching, commenting and being a valued subscriber. Cheers and all the best in your searches - Jason
Can you tell me exactly why you would notch out so much? For example… notching out those lower numbers… here in the U S…wouldn’t that eliminate your Buffalo and V Nickels? I’m still learning this Legend. Thanks Jason.
You would miss nickels "BUT" how much trash are you willing to dig in order to find a nickel? It depends on how valuable your time is on a hunt - you want to dig trash to get that nickel, or focus on digging less trash to find the better conductive targets? Same concept for gold rings - a site may not even have a gold ring, but would a detectorist be willing to spend an entire day digging trash in the hopes to find a gold ring that may not even be there? On a beach, it is a different story. Your gold ring odds are better, so digging more trash would be more worthy because your odds have increased. Cheers and thanks for the question.
Nice hunt!
Mystery item looks to be a fan blade. Just got a Simplex Ultra last week.
Awesome - thank you for that & congrats on the Ultra 👍
Looking forward to this one Jason :)
Thanks
I think you mystery utem could well be the handle tip off of a pewter serving spoon, just my humble opinion. Great hunt, love the legend
Just watched it - good stuff

Perhaps the mystery item is from a small boat motor propeller?
