- My original house rules for It’s The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown! board game. It takes the rules as written which aren’t that Great, Charlie Brown! lol and uses my special blend of contemporary competitive mechanisms from what’s been defined online over the years as Amerigame and Euro-style games to make a game that’s more interactive and interesting. My rules work perfectly solo thru 4 players.
Why go to all this much trouble? Am I serious? Yes I am! "It's The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown!" The RaW aren’t very good. But the artwork is top notch vintage Peanuts. My channel has vintage board games and toy collectibles. The annual Great Pumpkin! cartoon has been a favorite for many fans. I like Halloween. I make DIY props. There’s enough components to work with. I was able to take the two contemporary gaming styles to make the game better. I overdo videos in an interesting manner!
1. Amerigame aka Ameritrash game style fast-paced spin & move Peanuts character pawns/standees along a linear path, follow the printed instructions on the game board, draw random Trick-or-Treat cards, ‘Take That!’ cut-throat character interaction taking Trick-or-Treat cards via logical, consistent and streamlined rules after one play.
Combined with:
2. Euro-style game mechanics of ‘everyone’s in the game ‘til the end’ ie.the first one to the end doesn't always win, set collection of Trick-or-Treat cards for end game victory point (VP) scoring of types and colors, with outstanding board and component artwork. Great square box artwork. No designer’s name on the box. But Charles Schultz is definitely the man. Lots of thought put into my rules.
It’s a game of competitive fun with some effective layers of fast gameplay and table interaction in the spirit so-to-speak of the Peanuts characters universe. Snoopy, Charlie Brown, Lucy, Sally and Linus.

Thanx for saying that. This took longer than it should have. I wanted it up by Halloween. But got to the point well no matter what it is might as get it right. I did the rules this Summer when I got a god deal on this game that was in search of some good rules. It was fun and intersting looking at the components and using them in a more contemporary way. My videos always get longer than intended. well like this post lol If I didn't have to do voice overs with edits and could just flat out talk into the camera in one or two takes like most people I'd have much more up. But as it stands that's what makes my presentations unique and personalized if not a little esoteric. It's nice that enough viewers like yourselves appreciate the effort. There's some good videos I have shot and mostly edited I just couldn't find the time to finish. I should go back to those. It is enjoyable and I do think of the few viewers who are appreciative of the effort.

Thanx Matt as always! It's my Halloween video. The video took longer to do than the rules. I made it a much better game. The Great Pumpkin is too cool and the art is great. And he looks like Snoopy lol

Thanx Matt! I can't monetize the channel with UA-cam's newest requirements. I have enough subs but not nearly enough views. So it's a rainy day project to go back and finish some. Or do my solo house rules for some games on my amusement420 channel. I planned one game video in my head while I got a root canal a few years ago lol
Hope you and your family are doing well! You're really into the Star Wars books! I have a good collection of vintage SW comics and magazines as well as Alien.
A game you'd like is Star Wars Outer Rim and the Unfinished Business expansion (doubles the cards and adds some things). It's like a faster version of Firefly's pick up and deliver system but otherwise it's not the same as you'd think. I got a couple sets of 'Star Wars Outer Rim Dashboard's from PRINTserts off etsy because they slide around under the character and ship boards I recommend if you ever get into the game.
btw what does 'kidcardco' mean? I saw that's your BGG user name.
@@CollectionTHX1138 Cardco was my favorite card and comic shop as a kid. It's closed down now but still had a big impact on my life.
I understand what you mean mean but I sure do miss your videos brother! I plan on doing some vintage game playthroughs since my highest viewed videos for last year were mostly vintage game reviews oddly enough!

Thanx for watching. It was fun to do. Halloween a couple years ago was terrible weather. I usually set up a yard haunt display but couldn't do it. So I did this. I like taking the components of some games and houseruling them in a way that's fun and makes sense. I'll check out some of your vids.
