What is IL-2 Great Battles?
The new generation of IL-2 Sturmovik titles is developed by 1CGS and is a combat flight simulator of the World War II era and carries on the tradition created by the original IL-2 Sturmovik first released in 2001. Sturmovik recreates the aircraft, their use in the war and the environment they flew in. This latest product is a successor of the classic IL-2 Sturmovik that was a leader of the sim genre for more than 10 years. The new IL-2 is true to the ideas born by the first title with an accurate representation of aircraft and famous WWII battles.

The LA-5 pilots have a lot of luck, almost all of them managed to bail out
If you're basing that on not seeing the pilot in the cockpit as it goes down...that's not really proof. The pilot vanishes when dead or incapacitated. Look at the canopy as the plane goes down, if it's still closed the pilot didn't escape, they got knocked out at some point.

@@GaldirEonai That's why he said almost all of them. We saw the first two or three La-5 pilots shot down by Wolfpack bail out, but not the last one.

The adventures of Yuri were so compelling! You almost wished for Yuri to survive the mission just so you could get stomach cramping wondering if he was going to survive the landing. 😉

It's safe to assume the pilot Wolfpack is playing is a heavy drinker.

I've been watching Taff in Exile do a play through flying the La-5. He's getting completely out classed by 109's.

After watching the end of your career with Yuri in the mig I was inspired to crank il 2 up again. After 4 successful missions I was shot down in a dramatic fashion and crash landed behind enemy lines. Sat in my cockpit watching the skies I didn't want to end the game knowing what would happen. It was disappointing but I love the stories that unfold in the game and how different pilots stories can be so different!
The F-4 and especially the G-2 are my favorite versions of the 109.

Very different AI if we compare with the ruthless one back from il2 1946. The Lagg 5 should outturn the 109 at medium speed.

1. Have you done any Bomber Campaigns ? (Weather it was in Rise of Flight or IL-2)
I think there would be some intense moments knowing you have to fly slow over enemy airfields and what-not, plus I’d REALLY love to see you fly a heavy bomber

Hey man, love your content. Any chance you can do a video showing your joystick settings for IL2? I'm struggling with keeping my flights smooth. Even small inputs seem to have me stalling, pitching and yawing like a yo-yo.
There is a way to adjust your curves in the settings. It is a little box next to the axis.
@@Wolfpack345 yeah I’ve messed with them a bit to no avail. Any chance of a quick screenshot video of your settings so I can maybe start from there.

Wolfpack, I know this has nothing to do with the overall theme of your channel, but lately I've been playing Dirt Rally 2.0, having a absolute blast... You should consider making some videos would be some nice content for sure, really in depth simulation If you have nice hardware with force feedback, clutch pedals, shifters and all that. The campaign mode has some nice management aspects as well, you will have to manage risks of going flatout and reckless to be the quickest and risk crashing vs keeping a consistent pace, If you crash and wreck your car you are out for good, you can only make more minor repairs betwen stages in a rally and time is limited so you will have to make crítical choices. And man Its intense as hell. Totally recomend It.

What armament does this BF109 have?? And can you choose for another armament like for example replace the 7.92 mm machine guns for 13 mm machine guns?
BF109 G2 : 2 × 7,92-mm-MG 17, 1 × 20-mm-MG 151/20, G2´s cannot carry 13mm machine guns..all versions from G5 had the 2 × 13 mm MG 131 as standard

As far as I know the La5 FN's are on par with the 109 G2 in turning, that's why I was wondering.
The FN is a monster. These are just S8's.

Im 14 and one of the best at this game. The 109 is my favorite plane and one time i became a double ace in 1 sortie
