  • PermaFLOW is the World's First Self Cleaning 'GREEN' Drain System (P-Trap Replacement) with patented SELFClean feature that creates flow turbulence, minimizes deposition, breaks and propels debris and cleans itself thereby not allowing the sinks to get clogged. PermaFLOW is also equipped with patented EZClean feature that helps clean the potential clog build-up easily without the hassles of using plumbing snakes, plungers, opening P-Trap and/or the use of harmful drain cleaning chemicals by using an external knob with a spindle and wiper inside for clean-up. I just paid under $10.00 for one at the local hardware store "HomeDepot" here in the Bay Area. I also replaced the tail piece and pop up assembly by the same company. It was an easy install for this 'Novice' if I can do it YOU can too....I am happy with it...Angel from the Bay

@zlitn - The purpose of p-trap is not to trap debris (though the traditional versions do this anyways). The purpose is to trap water so it doesn't allow sewer gases to come into the house or property....which all p-traps attain including the PermaFLOW.

@40baby401 Thanks for your inputs....We are evaluating several options for addressing the issue with tubs and showers and making the PermaFLOW electronic is one of such options.

@oak415 - Yes it will work with bath tubs - but you won't have access to turn the dial - so effectively much of the value will not be gained....

@happyguycol - It has been extensively tested and there is nothing in there to break down. If everything failed, it wills till operate like a regular p-trap. However, the seals and teh dial mechanism has been tested for over 150,000 turns in operating conditions - which basically emans that if someone actually turned the dial twice daily, it would be over 300 years...

Hi, Very interesting video guys, & like all good innovations they are deceptively simple, this is a good innovation & good luck in marketing, I recently put a video up on cleaning of HHo Plates, & the dangers of using drain cleaners to do the job, the chemical reaction is fast and furious, I will send a clip out of my video in a video response which might shock some of your viewers too.. Regarding the safety aspects.

@leaddrop - The PermaFLOW geomatry increases turbulence and flows the hair freely without providing them an opportunity to settle down and since the inside of teh trap can be maintained clan with the dial, there is no place for the hair to stick to....

PermaFLOW is Code approved and certified by IAPMO (Uniform Plumbing Code, International Plumbing COde and International Residential Code) - the code reference to moving parts is "if the sewer seal is dependent on moving parts" - in the case of PermaFLOW - the sewer seal is independent of the wiper and the wiper only acts as a drain cleaner". For more information in regards to code compliance or code certificate, please contact us directly at 1-877-265-9777......

Just like a conventional P-Trap, the PermaFLOW is tested and certified by IAPMO (International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials) to comply with the Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC), International Plumbing Code (IPC) and International Residential Code (IRC). Most state and city plumbing codes follow the above codes but may have minor variations. It is a standard industry practice to certify plumbing fixtures to Uniform Plumbing Code.
