2019-2021 Acura RDX Footwell light upgrade

Angled pick
Small flathead screw driver
Wire cutters
Side cutting pliers
Solder
Soldering pen/gun
SMD LED
Followed a write up from wunderwagen on Acurazine. The link to that is down below. But I figured I’d make a video for those that may need a video instead of reading. I didn’t do the center console light where the ac/cigarette lighter and usb is but I can make a video on that as well. Might make it a short video on here. But let me know if you’d like to see that video.

Excellent write up. One question, for part number 34750-TJB-A31 and 34760-TJB-A01, does these two parts comes with the OEM LED lighting or just the housing only? Thank you.
Comes with oem lights.
@@2418turo Thank you so very much. As for the center console lighting, does it use the same aftermarket LED light, same as the LED light as the footwell.
@@eddyngan9293 I did not replace the bottom light under the trackpad, where you have the bottom storage/cubby space, I just did the footwell lighting. But it is a smaller piece. You’d have to get a ribbon led but it’s essentially the same method to solder and wire. I really only wanted a little more light on the feet. But I’m going to redo the doors and foot lighting from red to green. Going to take me a little while longer but I’ll see if I can get some help to record that video and post it here.

@@eddyngan9293 awesome man! It’s a little time consuming if you’re like me and never soldered, but if you know how, in 10 minutes you’ll finish both. The trick is removing the clear lenses without breaking the tabs. But I’m sure you got it. I should have just bought the spare ones and replaced those instead of the ones that came on the car but ehhh. Tomayto tomahto...🤷🏻♂️ hope it comes out well!
I love the neon headlight thing you got going on. Is that also some kind of mod or is that’s whole new aftermarket headlight ?
Neon headlight? You mean for the footwell? Yea I soldered new brighter lights for the foot area on both driver and passenger side... But for the headlights, I did add something to show a different color to the led strip running lamp
@@2418turo not the footwell I was talking about the headlight .. yes it looks like neon yellow led strip on it
I've never posted a video on that though, lol. But yea, I used Lamin-X film. Sticks on the outside of the headlight housings. Put it over the led strip and fogs

How do you turn the footwell lights on. I have the top of the line but did not know I had footwell lights until now.
Might not notice them because the lighting is so dim. But there’s 2-3 buttons on the dash behind the stalk to turn on the wipers
Those buttons are to raise or lower the brightness on the lighting
Do you know what size the actual led is ?
Yea if you hit the dickscription box…. There’s a link for the led. Along with the other tools I used.
