In 2002 compliments of the Marine Corps I got to travel to Rio….. such a magical time and place. I have this show on my favorites and listen at least once a month…. Can’t help but smile 👍🏽🍻⚓️

The music is fantastic. The person who directed the video was off his or her game. Consistently 8 bars or more behind the lead. Two nice trombone solos and we never see the trombone player.

I love this music so much that I decided to learn Portuguese. Now I can understand the lyrics and the comments here. It was worth the hundreds of hours of study. (or was it thousands, over a period of years). I also love Portugal, and the language there is very different but I also love the way it sounds.
Jobim's music truly speaks to my heart. So many beautiful memories of hearing songs like this , spending long beautiful days in Rio, Natal, Porto da Barra in Salvador, Praia do Forte.. and everything in between.. Saudades do Brasil. My heart goes out to you now more than ever
