You know what... solid performance, excellent product and absolutely transparent review... the numbers are what they are... well done...
Awesome car/performance really cool how you structure the videos makes it exciting to watch!
Awesome stuff guys I love y'all's company and the channel!!
Thanks, Sam!
Another great video guys, keep it up!! Can't wait for the second coyote intake test.
Thanks Gonzo
Nice !!! Great working combo !
Nice job Justin thanks for the video!
Awesome work VMP, the VMP2650 is absolutely badass.
Thanks for watching!
Nice numbers guys!!!!
Great improvement.
Good job, very interesting.
cant wait to get my similar set up next week Justin!!!!
See you soon Don
Nice!!
That guy is living the dream ..
Man I want that car! Love the info. In the market for getting my mustang back
Awesome! 800 on pump gas
Awesome numbers. I’m looking into a 2.65 for my Built 2013. Unfortunately I live in Cali where 91 octane is the max pump gas I can get. Is it safe to run boostane daily and still make 800whp?
I'm hoping to see close to 800 next week in my 14 when I put my ID1300x injectors in and switch to E85
Nice
This is amazing on 93
VMP is the baddest MO-FO on the planet!!! Am putting out 840rwhp 2017 mustang gt and will be over 900rwhp in just a couple days....
But the 5.0 has everything thrown at it including opening it up for oil pump gears, highly recommended to do crank upgrade over 800 rwhp too. The old Trinity 5.8 was so bullet proof. These new 5.0s are weaker than the 2015-17 5.0 but not bad.
I'm going to have to order one of those Gen 3 blowers.
Thanks for the confidence in us and our product!
Simply awesome . One observation , I notice you have the hook on the lashing system in the rear , tip up and curl down. I would get your guys in the habit of putting it curl up and tip down just as a CYA . Gravity will then hold it on in case of slack instead of making it drop off. You deal with cars all day so you are familiar with dumb shit happening. That hook drops because of slack or Murphy or whatever and you got issues...
Great vids man...
Thanks for watching! We appreciate the suggestion.
Great power I can't wait to put the gen 3 on my 17 Roush
Hey Sam, you won't be dissapointed
@@VMPPerformanceTV oh I'm sure I won't be!! Should I go with the 67mmTB or the 160mm
Sam Constantino go with the vmp 67mm on a stock 5.0l engine, its the best driving and easiest to tune TB out there.
@@VMPPerformanceTV thanks a bunch! And also are the 18 and up Roush blower pulleys made yet
They are getting close, looking at beginning of month.
What results do you think it would achieve with the 2.4 pulley and E85??
Beautiful car and amazing dyno numbers. Can the super cobra jet throttle body fit on a 2.3 VMP for an 03 cobra?
We have an option for the VMP GT500 bolt pattern mechanical linkage throttle body for the Terminator TVS blower, it requires a matching elbow, which you can choose at the time you order it.
Mo powah baby!
My car made 907/735 Gen 3 VMP, 72mm. It’s at RareFab. I get it back soon. It’s getting a 8 rib setup, billet tensioner, Fead bracket, and VMP intercooler pump. Then Ken will finish tuning it.
How’s things with your car?? Awesome number btw!!
Should have taken us for a ride!
Hey Justin, I notice you use 93 often in theses builds. Is that owner preference ? Or do you guys have lack of E85 in Florida ?
Hey Alex, we only have a few E85 stations in central Florida. We actually have a station 20min from the shop, but many of our customers are from outside the area and don't want dedicated E85 builds. There is also the cost of a return fuel system.
My 2015 GT runs 11.5 psi, with just a boost a pump and tune, hits 703 rwhp.
The 5.8 is a beast but a built short/long block is insane. The block alone is 6K. Hope you won’t even up needing a long block at 30k beautiful cars though.
Hey Justin what’s you’re thoughts on using Boostane as a permanent fuel additive with pump gas ?
I see no issues, its a great idea, we can get it in 5 gal pails too.
My Gt500 makes same with 3.6 kenne bell on 93.
insane numbers but you still had to add an Octane booster to hit them. so not running only with 93..tuned for 93 but not running solely on it.
How much do you think on e85
If this would be he sunny day, or weekend warrior, would it be best to pulley back up and just run 93. And when he decides to track car then swap to smaller pulleys and Boostane?
And on this setup does he have 2 files, like street and race? Just curious.
The customer has two tunes on his SCT, one for boostane + 93, and one for just 93 oct. If you were going to run 93 more often or 91 we could go up on pulley size.
Whats the Rim and tire setup
Clearly I sold my 2014 Shelby too soon...
Sure did, you could have put a kenny bell on it.
Jonathan Lisak I drove a ‘13 and it was nice. It pulled pretty good, but not like I thought 660 would feel like. I’m sure it was just a tune away from feeling like I thought it should. I wound up with a 16 GT because it was a real step up in comfort etc. I can always add boost later.
The thing is with the 13 gt500 it’s so powerful and stuff but the driving experience isn’t really good. Really rough but very fun
@@jasonbyassee7541 the gearing sucks for drag they did a taller first gear and went back to 331 gears and with the tr6060 gearing thats super tall gearing. If it had the shorter first gear and the 373 gears the svtpp cars had 11-12 it would feel alot better.
Michael Harris you hit the nail on the head, all these previous owners of the 13/14 Shelbys kick themselves in the ass now. I don’t think they really knew what they had, most didn’t know that ford threw in 3:31 rear gears and changed the 6060 to some taller gears as well. Put 3:90’s in these and add some upper and lower control arms to the ass and there is nothing like these on the streets, they become neck snapping machines.
770rwhp with the stock 2.3 here.... On E85, ID1000's, 2.4 upper - only, ford racing twin 67 throttle body - with a JLT, stainless works headers - and full exhaust (no cats) consensus says this is the safe limit without doing pistons - rods and sleeving the block if you want it to live.
When you shift keep your RPMs around 6k and you'll be fine. Rpms kill the rods in the 5.8. It's also always good to datalog for your tuner to make sure everything is in check.
@@GT500guy fully agree 👍
You are definitely up there. If you wanted to do boost for boost with a VMP 2650, use a 2.6 or 2.8 upper, and you could see similar airflow and "load" on the engine, but make 30-50rwhp more due to the efficiency of the VMP Gen3. That comes from the engine not working as hard to drive the blower, so you get more HP to the wheels, and no net increase in wear and tear on the engine.
@@VMPPerformanceTV "engine not working as hard" would this help with belt slip also? It's not a daily by any means but I've had some quirks with belts chirping and belt slip.
GT500s don't normally have slip due to the factory 10-rib belt. You could get a little slip with a 2.4, so yes, this blowers higher efficiency and power it makes with larger pulleys would help, but I think you need to look elsewhere. Some brands of pulleys tend to wear the belt funny.
This exact car is for sale now. I knew it was the same.
Would it have been better, made more power safely, by adding a nice methanol injection kit?
Nice numbers from that 13" GT500. Just curious about adding methanol injection.
Hey, thats one way, but we would prefer a fuel additive like boostane so we don't have to worry about a secondary system failing.
What Kind of wheels were those
What's the octane level with the boostane and 93 ? And how much a can ?
Hey Steven, the octane level with the BOOSTane was right around 100. You can find a six pack of BOOSTane Professional for $164.95 on our website bit.ly/2QKMXCi.
Old video but I have your supercharger on my car a gen 3 and… I cannot hear the blower at all. I have all the mods listed.😢
Whine is a side effect of the blower working harder. Either via restriction or from the amount of boost it's making. The 2.65 L TVS is a very efficient blower and if you're not running a lot of boost, or you have very good flow via exhaust and intake, it may be quieter. That's not a bad thing at all!
I'm gonna have to drive to florida from st louis
Just give us a shout either at sales@vmpperformance.com or a phone call to the shop and we'll get you all set up!
I want to see it make a test hit now.
This car made 1000+HP with E85
What size is that vmp gen 3 blower?
The VMP Gen3 is 2.65 L - Max
So it didn’t put down 800+ to the wheels on 93 then...
But wait there’s more jk
799rwhp.....
799 in the summer on 93 is no slouch! Even though it's a heavy pig. On e85 return style and a 6r80 swap you have a car that gap a hellcat
yeah pretty much....octane booster needed
🤔If you need a test subject my gt500 would be perfect.Bone stock 2012😎 lol
So the car did not make over 800 hp like the Clickbait fake ad says. It made 799 not 801.
Either way sick car! VMP does amazing work PERIOD!
Can't you tune it for flex fuel tune, so you can switch between e85 and pump on the fly , or it's only on coyotes
This car at this power level needs an upgraded fuel system to run e85. A coyote at this power level would also need an upgraded fuel system to run on e85...the stock fuel system is efficient enough when stockish or bolt ons is why you can get by with it on those.
Anybody can tell me the 800rwhp on a s550 6mt 3.55 gears what crank hp is that?
add 15% to 800 is what crank hp will be
Nobody cares because real car people dont even discuss crank hp.
What octane was created after the boostane was added? Full can to 1/2 tank?
The octane level with the BOOSTane was right around 100.
How much BOOSTane to 93 did you use?
Hey Mark, we used the recommended mixing ratio for pro.
That is all well and good but I live and drive in Manhattan do I need to have 900hp in my gt500 !! Plus what happens when the rods give out and the owner has to replace the block when he punches a hole through the side from the stock rods witch are the weak link here.
Theyre not as bad as people make them out to be tons of gt500s over 700 wheel on stock engines and doing just fine. Do some have issues? Sure but it isnt as widespread as the internet lets on. If you arent gonna be beating on it non stop all day every day i think it would be fine at this power level provided it has a good solid safe tune and good fuel. Heat is also the enemy of performance and of engines so you gotta upgrade the exchangers and everything possible cooling wise on these and do all supporting things like colder plugs and everything else. If you do all those things i really think 9 times out of 10 youll be fine these engines are pretty stout
Hi is safe 800hp to the wheels in 2013 gt 500
Yes, it is around the maximum safe range before upgrading the rods and pistons. Using higher octane fuel like E85 or pump gas with Boostane aditive helps keep things safer.
I'm saving to come with a Briefcase full of Benjamins.
Gotta build the motor in these motors before going to any E above 30%
How the hell do you run 18lbs of boost on 93 without blowing the engine, please tell me this.
Its a gt500 they have way lower compression than a coyote so it isn't comparable. 18 psi is getting towards the upper limits of 93 on terminators and gt500s which both have way lower compression than coyotes do so they can run alot more boost on pump gas but need to run alot more to make similar power because of the way less compression. I am assuming you're used to coyotes and their boost tolerances based off your comments.
Justin what would you push a 2014 too on 92 octane ? Stock block
Hey Joseph, 700-750rwhp is not a problem. Gen3 and good exhaust. Justin.
VMPPerformance I will be giving you a call bought a 14 yesterday .......
Sold my 2009 had a kenne. Bell 3.6
I love my kenne. Bell but can’t go wrong with the new 2.6 gen 3 👿👿👿
How is 93 plus Boostane considered 93…? It’s more than 93 after Boostane.
I wish the coyote made torque like that.
Fax...Coyotes are torque less wonders
4.1" stroke vs. 3.6"...
with enough boost anything is possible
It's funny how the 2012 gt500 with a 5.4 made over 700 hp with the gen3 an stock exhaust. The 5.8 makes great power but look at the difference in the other video with 2012 an power difference with less boost.
We pushed the 12 harder since it was a shop car, we also used c16 instead of boostane. We are going to get numbers on the 12 this week with gen 3, LTs, and boostane!
@@VMPPerformanceTV cool deal
I feel like traveling around with boostane on trips would be a pain this is obviously more of the guy who drives his rarely and wants to brag about numbers
For some it may be, but keep in mind, if you are not racing or driving aggressively, you do not need the extra octane. Modern day tuning allows the tuner to selectively manipulate different parts of the map. However, that extra octane makes a car at this power level MUCH safer.
I run 780whp with my 3.2lc kennebell on 93 no need for booster. I'd assume that just bc the 2.65 is creating slightly more heat do to using higher boost to make the difference up in displacement flow.
Dude really my 2014 cobra makes 814hp with out a vmp supercharger mine has Bolt on and that’s it
I hate how you say you "only did this this this this this this and this" to get to 800 hrspwr. The cost of those kooks long tube headers is an exspensive thing.
Compared to what it costs many other cars to get to 800 wheel its pretty budget if you ask me.
Will it fit my 2v??🤔🤔😂😂
Tork tech makes an adapter kit where you can run an 03-04 cobra blower...stock or any of the aftermarket blowers for the 03-04 cobras will work including the vmp gen 3 in this video which they do make for the 03-04 cobra.
shit is gonna blow on pump gas watch you dont make alot of power with 93 octane and that car with his origuinal TVS FBO on pump gas made 770 whp on pump gas with lower and upper pulley so that mean on E85 830 whp easy i wont make that much power on pump gas fuck that Good luck to the owner
Hey Nestor, we went to Boostane at higher power levels to keep the engine safe. Our gen3 blower is much more efficient than the factory blower so we see more RWHP pound per pound, along with higher potential (not maxing out), lower temps, and not requiring a lower pulley.
VMPPerformance still pushing too muxh power on pump gas 800 whp is the limit for a 5.4 and 5.8 engine runing on pump gas is just too much strees for the engine on E85 would of been perfect but if you say so Lol
800 hp and prolly does 0-60 in 7 seconds...so what’s the point...
Because HP
Also roll racing or just doing 2-4 pulls
Lol! Yep, bc HP!
