I had no AC so I phoned the dodge dealership and gave them my VIN to get the proper refrigerant … I added the stuff and enjoyed AC for 2 days. this morning I started the truck and noticed the engine light was on. 2018 Ram 1500 5.6L.
Ok so ur ac systm might have a leak check to see if u got any pressure and scan the check engine light let me know what code u get

Hey. So I checked the pressure and it still is holding … however I got a P-0300 code random multiple misfire reading.. I’m changing the spark plugs & coils tomorrow. The extra work from the AC could have possibly done something?
@@coreyquinney9354 yuppp when u get check engine light it cuts down the ac system for safety so fix the misfire on cylinder the and then reset the light ac will start to work again as long as misfire dosent come back and check engine light don’t pop up
I spent $4.5k changing out compressors, evaporators, condensers and it ended up being a slightly corroded fuse…
Fyi if you change the 10 amp fuse and still don’t work change the hvac blower motor fuse it’s 40 amp green fuse.. your welcome

@@RBTheMechanicmy 40 amp will not stay connected properly. It runs great sometimes and others is intermittent, we have to push it down or wiggle it. Have changed it and cleaned the posts with a file. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the video!!! Any idea where the actual A/C clutch relay itself is located on a 2010 Dodge Ram 1500? No sure why I'm having such a hard time locating it. Not the fuse but the actual relay.
It maybe not have relay integrated in ecm
I have a 2015 Ram ECOdiesel, the AC doesn’t blow cold air and the fuse is good. No check engine light and the filter isn’t clogged. The AC compressor is not spinning. Any ideas?
Check fuses relays if it got also check to see if u have good pressure the ac comp will not engage if the ac pressure switch can’t detect pressure
The fuse puller is by the big gray fuse
I have 2013 4th gen my ac/heater just stopped working the buttons on the face panel don't light up and I can not turn it on through my radio screen and a tester showed that it was getting power
So possability the face panel went bad did u tap on it some time it will come on
My a/c clutch runs all the time wont turn off or cycle like its supposed to, only time it shuts off is when the blower switch is in the off position, any idea why ? I replaced the humidity senser on the windshield, also the hi pressure switch on the a/c line , still the clutch stays running .
Swap out relay if it got and check ac pressure some time low refrigeration could be the reason why it stays on cuz it’s never able to creat the pressure requires so it keeps going on and on
Hey how you doing RB.hey I have a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 5.7 Hemi and one evening a few weeks ago it stormed and rained all evening and all night.Well the next morning on my way to take my son to work I pushed the defost button on the dash and it would not work, usually the light comes on when you push the button but it didn't so I turned the nob on the heat and it blew out pretty strong but there was no heat just air.What do you think could be the problem?
Dose the air go to dash? To defrost? I need more information ru trying to fix heat or get air to dash up to defrost or both?
Question, driver side and back a/c works. Well it blows cool air. The passenger side is straight hit a** air. I checked my acetator motor for hot and cold flap, it is working 🤔? Not sure what else to do besides taking the dash board apart to check the other acetators!😡 What would you recommend for me to do besides taking the dash apart?
Check ur bled door motor operation if it’s working or not
Is that the door that is behind the bottom glove box? If so then I assume so. When I went from hot to cold the white mechanism that goes up and down was showing it was working. I did not listen to see if it made any opening or closing noises. If you are talking about another place behind the dash then I don't know if it is working.
I have a 2013 dodge ram. The Ac and heater not blowing..can you show me a video on how to check all the fuses and which ones to check with the voltage checker..am I suppose to have vehicle running or on to see if there is voltage and the F16 fuse when pulled out was black on one side does that mean that the fuse connector to that fuse is bad?
U just need to check the ac fuse I don’t have video but if u got test light check then all especially the ac fuse also check to see if u got Freon pressure

What’s the problem with havac usully prior to replacing it I. Check and observe if the acuator work before chaning or if it’s the correct one ur chasing there are few actuators down there

Where is the relay for the AC compressor? Mine runs all the time even when I turn off auto mode.
Relay is intergraded in ecm it will also run with defrost on
I have a question, so I have a 17 ram 1500 and the ac won't get cold. I search for a leak but no leaks at all on any hoses. I recharged my ac and still nothing. Also it's seems like it won't hold pressure or it's leaking.I checked my fuse and it still looks in good condition. What could it be?
# 1 I’m not sure what u mean there’s no leaks but it dosent hold pressure anyways there’s no way to tell if u got leak it wount show up just like that u less u have a large leak… so if it dosent hold pressure u need to use uv DYE to trace down the leaks. Once u do that u need to see if ac compressor come on check ac fuse check to see if compressor had power when u out ac on. Also scan the HVAC for any codes. By the way use proper ac machine to recover vaccum and recharge ac system
My compressor wont stop even with the heat on the floor and a/c off .only stops running with the fan switch off, dont know why .
Not sure if it got relay for ac compressor switch that out could be faulty enagage relay
Should the ac condensor fan kick on automatically when the ac is on or would that be controlled by the computer and will kick on at a certain temperature?
It should kick on immediately some but it is controlled on and off as needed
@@RBTheMechanic any idea what to check as to why it’s not kicking on? I put the fan direct to battery and it turned on so it’s not the fan.

Quick question if you're still checking these comments. I've got a 2011 Ram 1500 5.7 hemi. Replaced the ac compressor, high pressure switch and added the freon but clutch isn't engaging. Only spins when I turn it off. Hooked up gauges and high side shows 0psi. Checked fuses but everything is fine for those. I'm at a loss.
What is low side rear. I think ur system is empty. High side reading with ac off should be over 100psi low side should be close to 100 ac off and once on it should be between 35-45psi
@@RBTheMechanic I had a vacuum. Added up to 40psi for low side but high stayed empty. No leaks. Kept the vacuum prior. I tested the port for high and barely any pressure

Usually when somthing burns it’s the magnetic clutch so look in to ac compressor
Hey friend. While driving my 07 dodge . The ac turn completely off the no air or anything. Even the yellow light on the ac button turn off. I’m thinking it’s a fuse or relay? Any suggestions?
If air shut off that means ur blower motor cut off start by checking fuses for control panel and blower motor and try high speed on blower motor

@@RBTheMechanic I checked all fuses and all good. My ac works great on high vent. The moment I put it any lower vent it shots off.

Do you know which fuses are all related with the alternator and battery on a 2020 Ram 1500? Truck kept dying giving like 20-40 codes. After replacing battery, 5 days later light turns on again with code P0562 so want to know if what fuses/relays there could be that are related to the battery and/or alternator... dealership is being some lazy asses not fixing the issue. Any help will be helpful thanks 😊
Sorry I don’t have fuse and relay location but it should be in the manual book diagram of all fuses
I have a 2017 ram 2500 5.7 gas and my ac works one day then next time I start it up it isnt blowing at all but after a while will randomly turn back on, this has happened multiple times
If ur not getting any air it could be blower motor issue or control unit
I got a problem with my 2017 ram ac .I hit a pot hole and my screen started glitching going on and off after that my ac stopped working .everything else in my screen works like the radio and the canaras and calls but my ac saids climate off and it won’t let me turn it on from the screen nor the on and off knob not even the temperature buttons work .do you have any idea what can be ? I checked that fuse and it seems fine
Try checking for loose connectors in back of the screen and check to see ur fuse and relay I had one that relay was loose every bump cause issue with ac but it was civic
My blower fuse, 40 amps, keeps going out, but not burned. Almost daily. What causes that?
Could be ur motor going bad or the resistor. Do u full bast the blower speed
Yes, since it's still 104 degrees at 7 PM. Anything less than full speed will melt me. I will check the motor and resistor. Thanks bunches big guy.

I have a 2012 ram , the A/c doesn’t turn on, I have changed the fuses. It worked when I turned on the truck, then I turned it off. When turned on again it didn’t work any more. Any idea on what might be causing this?

2009 Dodge Ram I’ve changed the ac compressor, evaporator exapansion valve , and 3 actuators fuses seem fine not blown. Any idea any help on what it could be its blows air but not cold. Thank you in advance.
Ok I did so much already maybe now it will be more difficult to diagnose anyways check you pressure switch as well you need to do some electrical diagnostic start from switch to ac relay see if it has power to the pins and ground but do check ur ac switch
If you've done everything and everything's working and you should have cold air check your cabin air filter. I have a 2012 Impala that was giving me signs of a bad compressor and it was just the cabin air filter changed it out and everything worked

Hi 2015 ram 1500 3.6. My blower works fine just not cooling. Fuse F62 ac clutch was blown. Replaced the fuse and it blew right away again when I turned ac on. Any ideas. Ac clutch pump is less than a year old.

2007 dodge ram 3.7 L. AC was blowing cold then stop blowing cold, did that for a couple days, then it won’t turn on at all,? Fan motor fuse, start with the fuse?
Check all fuses and check Freon pressure
@@RBTheMechanic when I smack the bottom of the blower it comes on for a short time, then wanes, and turns off. So not fuses. Maybe the motor is going, the sensor is saying it is too cold? Electrical connection to blower motor, or freon pressure? Thanks a lot

A friend had helped me change out the condenser and after the AC worked great for 8 months or so, but there was a weird sound coming from the under dash - must be the blower motor going out? Could it also be he did not recharge it with freon correctly?

It might have fan moduel if it got 3 wires those usully go back on these

@@RBTheMechanic i’ve changed cooling fan module at 107 degree celsius it started 3 times but not full power because i think is 3 degrees outside, now goes to 120 it doesn’t start again, i put another one, doesn’t start, i have voltage to the fan but looks like is no comand

That’s why it’s freezing because the blower need to dissipate the cooling other wise it will freeze fix the blower issue try max high speed some times it’s resistor and it will still work on max high other check power and ground to blower to rule out if blower is bad

Check if it has pressure u can do so by pushing the low side pin in the charging port also before that check relay fuse and. Put the ac on and look to see if the fans comes on on the radiator if it got electric fan
@@RBTheMechanic i have an 07 ram passed by some bumpy rail roads and cold air stopped comming out... changed fuse. Nothing ac clutch wont engage. I checked low pressure and none came out, does that mean i need to add freeon.?
@@fireamador1 if there’s no pressure then u might have a leak some where so u can recharge the system with dye and trace down the leak maybe no thing bagged around and caused leak
I have a 2010 Dodge ram 1500 pick up truck I recently started noticing that my AC would blow but none of my lights are my AC cold NAV lights would work I went after the HVAC fuse it’s a 15 amp fuse maybe a 10 AM fuse and it’s not blown but me resetting it is making the AC work for a few startsAnd then the process will start over again I’ve been lucky just by resetting the fuse and everything works properly blows cold the whole 9 yards any suggestions help gratefully thank you

Check power source track down the wiring also check other fuses some times it’s connected to fuses

Start with checking ac pressure without pressure nothing will get activated and no power to compressor
Question. I replaced the heater/ac door blend actuator next to the glove compartment and the one that controls the vents couple of months ago and ac worked great again. Last week ac stopped blowing cold air, it blows warm on cold setting, I checked the actuator and it works like it’s supposed to, it smells like burnt plastic when ac is on, any ideas on what could be wrong with my ac?
U might want to check to see if ur ac systym work sound like somthing is burnt the smell could be ac compressor clutch

Well first check to see if u have good ac Freon pressure and check the fuses that’s is the basics if u don’t have pressure stay will not work then u need to check for leaks

In last inspection my ac compressor is weak as per the impression on it;

Installed a new blower and resistor - ac is now not coming on - and the selector knob is not working
Check ur fuses and change it back to old resistor it might be bad resistor the new one can be defective

I have a 2016 Ram with the 5.7, I tested the fuse and I'm not getting power, I ran a hard wire from the clutch to the battery and it turned on. Any idea if there is something causing the issue? Any relays or switch?
Try to locate relay also check if there’s Freon pressure ..one question when u jumped power did the line get cold?

@@jacobmurdock5503 it might be computer controlled and not have relay but it’s going need some electrical trouble shooting starting with ac pressure switch can u located to see if pressure switch have one or 2 wires
My clutch runs. ALL the time . Dealership says that's normal . For yf type . I say B.S 2018 ram 1500 hemi .

a/c clutch engaged full time does not cycle on and off as needed, only way to turn it off is two turn off the blower motor /fan off . 2018 ram 1500,I dont think its normal. Prove me wrong .

@@RBTheMechanic on my 2015 dodge ram my ac will keep shutting on & off. It’s weird if I hit a bump or a pothole or something then it’ll shut on or off. Sometimes the service airbag system will pop up when it shuts offs. Any idea on what might help me fix this problem?

@@Luistheanalist it can be low coolant or if u have dual temp control the blend door for that one side can be stuck check to see violent in radiator top it off once it’s cold then check to see if ur blend door functions
I changed the blower motor, resistor, fuse, and relay. The ac works in the morning and at night sometimes but during the day when it gets really hot it’ll turn on but then turn off after like 30 seconds
Ok that might be bad ac compressor but however before anything I would see how much ac refrigeration it got or just reserve it some tie it can be too much pressure or too little or air pressure
