Love Battambang style takrueng, never had it with maengda bug though, probably the Thai-Khmer melting pot along the border. Takrueng or Phahok with kached and other fresh crunchy veg is awesome. The isaan green herbal soup is also awesome, probably called Kaeng hed (mushroom soup).
@ I think the Khmer food in the Battambang region has the most unique umami flavors and is my favorite so far (grant it, I haven’t been to Kratie or that side of the country, so I may change my mind later). My Khmer wife generally agrees with some exceptions for her mom’s cooking. Keep up the good work, like your vids.

First time for me to eat this style of prahok...it has a very distinct flavor/smell. I'm in love with the isaan soup!
