I recently purchased an XC60 (2023), the Plus model with the Harmon sound system, AWD and air purifier were some added features to this Plus model. In short, I love this SUV! Plenty of cargo room, and this SUV rides beautifully! It’s only been 2 months, and so far so good, so I definitely am a fan and would recommend. PS, nice review!
@@joshuamarvin2239 Very roomie and comfortable ride. Great pickup when you step on the gas, quiet and fast. Interior noise is low, but a few hi end competitors were a bit better with limiting outside noise, but nevertheless good for me.
Hv driven the xc60 volvo in Kenya a 2017 model and I'm already sold on the model I want when ready... the car is cool and quiet on the tarmac and woo.. the speed is good. Newest xc60 must be a breeze to drive.
Really, no bright theme? That's annoying! I had a 2020 XC60 leased, and I'm just waiting for my new 2024 one, and I'm not happy about that.. I hate dark themes.
Excellent presentation. I especially like the upfront prices at the beginning which is rare. Attractive vehicle with good specifications. Thank you Gold Pony.
I just had my ‘24 Recharge delivered. It’s awesome. Got it in white, ultimate package, with the dark trim and the maroon brown interior. It’s a really nice interior and I highly recommend that color if you’re ordering new. My only one gripe is that they still use piano black on the console and dash. What an awful material for a new vehicle. I personally like the interior better than the BMW X3, by far.
@@quasitime Really good. So good that you can turn it around right after you drive it off the lot and take it back for multiple check engine codes for the first month you own it. Don’t get one, not worth it. go with a Lexus or Acura. If you really want one, I have one for sale that only has 1,100 miles on it.
@@quasitime It's not great. I would have bought something else if I could. The only compelling thing about this car is the MPG and the quiet ride, but the reliability is sketchy at best. Not happy that I'm having these issues after spending almost $80K.
My preferred colour is always white...can do silver but white makes happy.. I like clean and white is clean. Interior ivory or brown will do... exterior..white. only takes another colour if the make doesn't hv white. Was looking at the xc90 and xc60 reviews. Hv driven the xc60 2017/8... I'm sold on the xc60... that's what I will get when ready... WHITE cars only. 🎉 very quiet car indeed. The speed is good. Covered distance I used to do in 9hrs in just 6hrs... noted i can even do less if they remove speed monitors.😊
Great video/review as always! Volvo had a wireless phone charger on the XC60 in front of the cup holders for model years 2021 and 2022. However it was not a usable charger given space constraints plus with phones getting larger. That said Volvo removed wireless charging for 2023/2024. One other easter egg. Hold your finger on the new Volvo interior lights. They’ll dim 🤓
If you check the Carfax on enough used cars, you will notice a trend. I owned the S60. Volvos brakes wear quickly, and are very expensive to repair. i.e, at 22k miles, I just got a quote for front/rear brakes/rotors, $2,200. The software system is slow and costly to diagnose issues or re-program.. i.e., $164 to run diagnostics. Audi cars have a lower average maintenance cost than Volvo, if that helps provide a perspective. By contrast, my Infinity G37 with 200,000+ miles has never seen the inside of an Infinity dealership for ANY service. Local service station oil changes, $700 for brakes when needed, and it's still comfortable and fast. :-) Zero complains.
Heard a wireless phone charger setup can be added to most cars. Has anyone seen it added to a newer volvo? Not sure if 2024 XC60 has any good place to add a charger pad in the front area, since there is so few storage spots.
@@georgiosevgenios7510 Some of them are being imported from China, te ones that are having a lot of problems. Make sure if they are made in Sweden with their vin number that start with Y.
The 2024 XC60 makes a whistling noise at open highway speeds. 70+ mph. Volvo is telling the dealership that it's a 'Characteristic' of the vehicle.... I wouldn't buy this vehicle if you are sound/noise sensitive. I am seeking a swap out. This is a massive issue
I returned my CX60 PHEV because it had a horrible thrumming sound between 25 and 45MPH that Mazda failed to fix after months. This issue was not unique to my car - folks posting in CX60 forums with the same issue. Mazdas first attempt at electrification so maybe reliability will not be what you would expect. Got an XC60 Recharge T8 Ultimate coming soon.
@@ukgroucho I've read that Volvo's are not reliable. My wife had a V60 and it was ok but felt tinny and cheaply made even though I bought the top of the line model. Generally Japanese cars are the best - best engineering and workmanship, unequalled anywhere else. I used to drive premium German brands. Forget it. Mazda or Lexus - if you can get a Lexus NX go for it but the wait times are long, and for a good reason.
MAJOR change is right! No B6 engine is right! 50 less horsepower is major in an SUV! And if you don't let buyers know what exactly the Polestar tune will do, we won't buy your cars with 247 hp. Wake up Volvo!!!

I received my XC60 last week, 2024 T6 model, which does have wireless charging in front of the cup holders.
Thank you I was changing my mind about purchasing without wireless charging and heads-up display.
I have just ordered my XC60 and they have added wireless phone charging in the center console 👍🏼
Very nice , just bought one 2 weeks ago , full tank can easily 800km to 1000km ❤❤ mileage
Most beautiful car in the segment. Standard AWD is a great addition.
Bought mine last week on ETS2............ this thing packs a punch on the highway😊😊
A couple things you missed:
No more "bright" theme on 2024, only black theme. Also, there is a PHEV version which you did not mention.

In my country they are running another of 5 years maintenance and 10 year unlimited warranty.

It would help if you spoke at a slower cadence. Sentences tend to run together making it hard to understand.
can you turn off stop/star?
No. It is not possible
No. But it doesn’t really bother me like other cars. You barely. No it started
That touch screen seems awfully small
I heard it trembles like a tractor on the road and when it hits the bad road it is really bad
No android auto ( only apple car) and still a lot of problems with SW ( android automotive operation system).
Color looks no different than my 2022 silver dawn.
It essentially the same but not metallic
