I think Monkey Ball 2 ROMHacks are more interesting and fun than any official Monkey Ball game since 2002 and it will probably remain that way for the foreseeable future.

@@thesussyinspector Yeah but it's still more than never, and also in the original Japanese lore for Classic Sonic all the characters were supposed to be able to talk, Sonic included, the only reason he doesn't talk in the classic games themselves is because of console limitations, that's it. Him being a mute character wasn't a real intended thing until Sonic Generations.

What are you talking about?!..the movement is much better and categorically improved...the Devs have stated improving the physics and movement have been one of their main focuses
There’s a number of things misleading or wrong in this video as others have pointed out, such as classic Sonic not talking or this being the first time characters have individual stats. 😬 And that’s just within the first 5 minutes of the video.

Idk man, the physics felt so much more lenient in this game. Like it’s insane. Baby is fast and bouncy and sticks to the track like glue and makes the ex worlds free, cleared all 20 worlds in like 2.5 hours
Btw, the white thing on joycon grips are actually to make it easier to take off, it’s like a lever, then use the button on the back to help

They did fix the frame rate issues in battle mode via a day 1 patch. I haven’t run into any frame rate issues personally, and most of the modes I’ve found to be really fun

banana mania physics are absolutely fine, i wouldent have done pretty much everything there is to do on the game otherwise, and thats even with me playing the past games as much as i can through legitimate means

Nah, as soon as you said the controls aren't like the original I'm not interested. I gave Banana Mania the benefit of the doubt and it disappointed me. Especially on that one mini game.
I'm not making the mistake of buying another mid Monkey Ball game in hopes Sega makes something good.
The only thing interesting they ever do is throw a bunch of Sega ips for characters.

Dont worry, most people agree that this game has better physics that are closer to smb2 than banana mania. The camera controls are also v customizable, so you can lean full into automatic camera controls to make it just like the original games or you can use more manual controls. You can also mix and match how much you want one camera control system over the other. Idk if he edited those settings or not but I did and it feels identical to the originals

the movement was 100% tweaked from banana mania, it's still not perfect but it's way more close, and dig around in the settings a bit, in "advanced camera settings" you can change how the level and the camera moves.
Thanks Nintendo lmao. Look how smooth Mario Kart 8 runs compared to this?? Sega is all to blame.
