There is a much easier way to unlock Master without using a continue in SMB1. In the first expert level, don't do anything until the timer is at exactly 2 seconds. Roll forward until .16 seconds, then you hold down and left on the analog stick. (Pause buffering will help) When done correctly, you'll cut the tape at the goal and get a "time over" at the same time. You'll lose a life, but the level counter will go up by 1 every frame when both clear and time over conditions are triggered at the same time. At respawn, it will still be the first level, but the game would think you are on the final level, which should read as "Floor 50". After that, you will have to clear all Expert Extra levels with 2 lives to get Master. Hope this helps anyone who is struggling to unlock Master.
Super Monkey Ball Jr allows you to move faster with the A button & slow down with the B button. Basically, it's the closest to a control stick for a hand held. It's actually how I won Expert 19. Holding down A while moving allows you to clear it. Kinda like how Super Mario 64 DS has a run button to emulate holding down a control stick in the original.
I was hoping someone would reference Expert 19. I remember watching NB's old Top 10 covering that stage and I was only able to find a single video of someone clearing it. Goes to show how unknown the A+B controls are in Jr.

SMB Adventure I wish they done more to fix what was wrong with story mode. Even I didn't know what to do to progress and never finished the game since then.
For the record, in Super Monkey Ball 1, the life system to access the extra stages is worse on the Beginner and Advanced stages. You have to complete those WITHOUT LOSING A LIFE to get their corresponding extra stages...
The problem with Banana Mania is once it was released Sega just abandoned the game. They still haven’t fixed Monkey Target somehow, even years later. They just don’t care about this game.
I'm disappointed that you didn't mention the developer's custom bowling levels in Super Monkey Ball 2's Monkey Bowling 2's Special Mode. It was so cool to see unique levels for bowling as most bowling games don't even do that and it always seems like a missed opportunity. I guess the third training in Wii Sports Bowling is closest to this but still why aren't there more games that do that? The original Monkey Ball ran on the Naomi arcade hardware which is almost identical to the Dreamcast. It is sad that the Dreamcast failed :( It is one of the best consoles ever made.
17:09-17:13 That's another thing, you may not be able to skip the credits in Touch & Roll (I just quit to the menu after hitting the goal in the last stage of each world) but there is a minigame in the T&R credits you just start it by tapping one of the monkeys on the touch screen or by flicking one of them upward. The minigame itself is alright, just flick the monkeys to the top and hit as many letters as possible. It also gets pretty hectic because you can use more than one monkey at a time and while they can fall you can flick them right back up when they get to the touch screen.
With Banana Mania, the default controls are pretty bad, the only way I got it to feel good was changing the deadzone to square in steam settings Then it felt perfect
I'll have to try changing the controls on Console. Never tried that, but I put the game down because you literally could not do any precise movement at all. Trying to turn around in place forced you to move the the distance of like 5 Bananas to the side.

S&R is a flat out downgrade to BB IMO. Less interesting main game levels, less party games and Jam Dojo is just a waste of space. The only things it does better are achievements and the main game music developing as you progress through the world, though I love every track in BB whereas in S&R I love half the tracks and couldn't care for the other half.
@@jumentoqueanima I am not betting on this it will stay forever like with everything but yeah compare to so many youtubers which turn for the worst and pretty quickly bandy really did kept the quality
I really have a soft spot for the original Banana Blitz. Yes, the controls completely sucked, but I played this game so much as a kid that I mastered them. Also, the music is incredible! I think the worst game imo is Super Monkey Ball 3D. It’s so easy and boring! Also, the Party games in it completely suck as their watered down versions of Mario Kart and Smash Bros. Still, I like this list. Super Monkey Ball 2 is one of my favorite video games of all time, even after 20+ years. It beats all the other Monkey Ball games by a mile imo.
Unless you count the original marble madness and marble blast ultra on the Xbox 360 The only monkey ball game I've played is banana blitz the Wii version and once I played the arcade like 2 credits. I feel like the most controls didn't work super well but I still liked them and I was thinking if you had some kind of mobile device like a 3DS or a cell phone and you use the motion controls there that would probably be better. If there was a game that you could have most controls on but then also turn them off and it would keep track of how you beat the level then that'd be cool.
17:04 if you swipe up on a monkey, it'll launch it to the letters, and the letters turn into bananas, and if you get all letters in a certain amount of time, you'll get bonus points
Not defending Monkey Ball Jr. (goodness knows that game is jank) but the A button makes you roll faster and the B button makes you roll slower. It helps a bit with the tricky sections.

I grew up with Banana Blitz, and I know it sucks, but I adored it as a kid. It was my first ever video game, so I have a lot of nostalgia for it.
It was surprising to see Banana Blitz at the bottom of the ranking, because I remember you saying Step & Roll and Adventure were worse in your frustration series.
I love your ranking videos!
Yep they keep consistent quality for the most part
@@theenderkirbyYeah. I mean, this channel as a whole didn't fall like some. It will probably be really good forever.
@@jumentoqueanima I am not betting on this it will stay forever like with everything but yeah compare to so many youtubers which turn for the worst and pretty quickly bandy really did kept the quality
@@jumentoqueanima don't listen to the bandy comment you got is fake
@@theenderkirby I know, hate this bots.

I remember my 2DS Joy stick breaking at the time I played Super Monkey Ball 3D's Monkey race. I wasn't exactly sure how it broke at first.
Not defending Monkey Ball Jr. (goodness knows that game is jank) but the A button makes you roll faster and the B button makes you roll slower. It helps a bit with the tricky sections.
I love Super Monkey Ball 2.
17:08 I used to fling the Monkeys into the credits when this played. It’s like that block ball game with the letters in the credits.
Hi Nathaniel Bandy I love this and I hope you have a good day and you are awesome
The credits in Touch and Roll are a mini game. Flick a monkey to hit the letters in the names that pass by.
You should rank every main line series Pokémon game
How will Nathaniel Rage? How will Nathaniel rage?
I gotta stop you on your rant about the banana blitz party games. those were gas and plus the song being hummed in the disc channel is golden.
