Axolotl Snax-Alotl 🤣🤣🤣 Welcome to Episode 3 of Fallout "The Head". I've been loving this series and hope you enjoy the reaction, commentary and NA beer pairing. There were some camera gremlins, causing stuttering in some parts of the video (and all the videos so far). 6:34 It’s one of the mass produced foods in the Fallout universe that survived for over 200 years. In the game you’ll find packages of this and others like Sugar Bombs, Blamco Mac and Cheese, Instamash, etc. You can imagine how much preservatives these contain if they survived edible through the apocalypse.
The golden rule of the wasteland is a direct reference to the games. You "do" get sidetracked by side quests every single time.

23:10 Actually; back in the carboniferous period there were bugs around that were a LOT bigger than what we see in this show. There was a lot more oxygen in the air of course which allowed them to grow so big. In our current atmosphere they would indeed be impossible. Phew right?

I wonder whether Coop hates himself? I mean he shot a billboard caricature of himself right in the face. What could that possibly mean?!
It could be more hate towards vault tech vs himself, though I’m sure there’s plenty of self loathing too. And what all did he do in between the times we see him as Coop and now as a ghoul? It’ll be interesting to see how much Lucy changes. He started off a “good” guy and clearly she is supposed to embody “good” as well.

Gulpers are what salamanders evolved into from the radiation. Lucy gets sick because the majority of water sources are highly irradiated. Other vaults are not connected like these three are. It would be impossible to rehabilitate the raiders. The treatment that the ghoul needs does not exist in the games. Bloatflys, Bloodbugs, Radroaches, etc can be eaten if properly cooked. The broken water chip is a nod to the main quest in the original Fallout game from 1997.

Lucy needs to take some Radaway, something that she should have learned about in the vault since they were preparing for Reclamation Day, the day that vault dwellers were supposed to leave to repopulate the world. Mr Handy's are robots, often used as domestic servants but also to fill a variety of positions in society. If the show properly followed the game lore, Maximus should be executed for letting his knight die as well as for impersonating a knight, which is illegal for a squire, and for lying to the brotherhood.

It's like saying people who are stranded on an island or at sea shouldn't drink sea water. But a lot of them will do so anyway at some point if they get thirsty enough. Everyone knows they shouldn't, but at a certain point the craving becomes too strong.

👉 One point others have made, talking over dialog doesn't work well for viewers, so you might want to pause for quips, questions, and analysis. Pausing works well for others.
Thanks for the positive feedback. I'm still learning the process of recording the reaction and also editing. This is my 3rd video edit ever.
This is a great comment because before I started, I thought long and hard about whether to pause the video or not. I did choose to do it this way without pausing because of the full length unedited reactions which will eventually go up on my Patreon. If I pause, then viewers of the full length reaction would need to pause in the moment and re-sync when play is pressed.
For example I have been or am subscribed to the full uncut reactions to Cinebinge, Movies with Mary, Spartan and Pudgey, Asia and BJ, Vkunia, Popcorn in Bed, Nikki and Steven, Diegesis, Sofie Reacts, Addie Counts etc (all my favorites). I've never seen any of them pause for the full length versions or within the public edited YT versions.
I did notice two creators recently, maybe it was Colette Cherry and You Me and The Movies pause. I'm not sure how to have a UA-cam with pauses and also a full length react on Patreon.
Lastly I would think (though I'm not sure) that pausing would be a headache in editing based on my limited experience. ANY feedback or ideas is greatly appreciated.

I've seen other reactors talk over important dialog, miss a critical plot point, and then wander about for the rest of the video over a question that would have been answered by listening. (Not in your case.)
On the other hand, I see constant complaints from (I assume) noob commenters about "stopping too much" and "talking too much, just let the music/movie play!!!", which amuses me that some are upset that a reaction occurred during a reaction video. Perhaps only _visual_ reactions are allowed, and god forbid that a reactor would have, uggg, an _opinion_ , or ewww, a relevant life experience to share. With an audience presumably watching _because_ of the reactor's unique thoughts, opinions, experiences, and personality...
I just watched a documentary, essentially a series of interview cuts, by Rosalie Elliott on the reaction genre. She spoke to around a dozen successful reactors about their thoughts and processes. Posted less than a week ago.

Excellent dive into this process. Not technical though, so it's not about the mechanics, structure, editing, support tech, etc.
You're doing well enough so far, that if you didn't announce your noobishness, and a viewer didn't check your page, one would have no idea that you were new to the process. So there's that.
Reaction videos can be a Wicked Game. But if you make a mistake, or get another video demonetized, you can just say, "Oops. I Did It Again". And remember:

Good news on the bugs: to get that size they need a massively oxygen rich atmosphere, which did exist hundreds of millions of years ago but we are absolutely nowhere near that level of oxygen now, so giant bugs can not exist. They would suffocate in our atmosphere, they literally could not breathe. So we're safe! Which, personally, I am delighted about.
Also (sort of?), good news on nuclear bombs: the radiation doesn't last 200 years. It lasts maybe 2 weeks before it's back to normal. Radiation levels in the (now very normal) cities that did have nuclear weapons used on them in WW2 are no higher than any other city. Hard to say anything positive about nuclear weapons... but at least there's that!
Then it should be still possible if they evolve lungs.
@cookiedestroyer2801 that's true, concerning but true. It does seem like a bit of a stretch though. They've been around longer than mammals and before even the dinosaurs. There's been a lot of periods of widely varying evolutionary pressures and it hasn't happened yet! That doesn't rule it out, obviously. Although it is probably too big a thing to evolve in our lifetimes or even in a 200 year period.
We used to have giant dragonfly's and Scorpions the size of dogs.
@Sam_Guevenne sure, but that was ages ago. Personally, I can barely even remember 300 million years ago at this point. We were all so young then. (Although I admit I do have a famously bad memory!)

Well, there are people who love beer - or even just one particular beer - but who cannot drink alcohol any more for one (medical) reason or another. I was just talking to someone last night who is profoundly grateful there is an NA version of Guinness.

I enjoy many types of beverages, but I can’t drink every night, so when I want something more interesting than water it’s fun to try a mocktail or N.A. beer 🍻✨😊
Side note I’m also a fan of single malt scotches (everything from Lagavulin to more subtle ones from Japan). White wine wise I love a good Sauvignon Blanc or Albariño 😁
@@kanpai_ky ahh a woman of taste. To be fair I just have a general dislike of the taste of most beer. But otherwise I agree with you. And I have never been a heavy drinker myself but I have to be very careful about alcohol since my stroke. It doesn't react well with my meds something like a glass of wine or a couple of beers is fine but much more than a couple shots of hard liquor has me feeling sick as a dog.

I don't know if it's "left-leaning", but it is a kind of intellectual elitism. I teach philosophy for a living, and I found the proposal to start the raiders off on the works of Immanuel Kant to give them a "moral foundation" to be entirely absurd . . . which is why I adore that scene and consider it one of the funniest in the season.

I don’t think there’s been more than a couple scenes around sex or sexual connotations. The ones I’ve seen so far seem to flow well with the story or add a great amount of humor to the scene.
I technically haven’t finished the season, so maybe there’s something I’m missing, but I think that person’s opinion is strange. We’re looking into the lives of characters in this world … to fully flesh out and understand these characters, we need them to do more than fight IMO
