Hi Tiffany I just signed up as a member, I'm very excited😂 I can't wait to get the yarn supples and start making the stockings. Do you have any tutorials of stitching names of the stockings?
I had my first baby in august. I’m making the first Christmas stockings as a family of 3, I just started it yesterday and I’m about to finish it. Thank you so much for making our Christmas even more special now❤️
Congratulations on your new baby and I hope you have a happy first Christmas as a family! 💖 Thank you for sharing this with me! I'm deeply touched you chose to make my Christmas Stockings for your family traditions. 💖💖💖
I just want to say THANK YOU so much for this tutorial!!! This was my first project EVER as a literal beginner to crochet. This was easy to follow and I was able to make 2 stockings!! Thank you for this
😂Thanks! My step mom whom I loved truly, died last fall & left a knitted Christmas Stocking to finish. You have helped me accomplish that & make this first ever crochet one with her leftover yarn🧶👏
A good friend of mine ask if I would make a BIG Stocking for a gift for a new baby. So I found your WONDERFUL Pattern & made one with you‼️She picked the colors & yarn, YARN BEE SOFT SECRET IN MIST (gray), LILAC, & WHITE‼️ Since she wanted it BIG & DUE TO HOW HEAVY it would be, I used 2 strands all the way thru‼️ It came out BEAUTIFUL ❣️ Since it was so big 26 1/2” long with cuff not folded down, the foot is 14” I had room to do a few special little things……. I made an Angel, Snow Flakes, & Evergreen tree to place on it here & there❣️If I ever figure out how to send pictures of my projects 🤪I promise to send you a pic so you can see what an AWESOME Teacher you are☺️ Thank you Tiff for being sooooo kind & sharing your WONDERFUL TALENT WITH ALL OF US❤️🙏🏼❤️ Sincerely, barbie (from S.E. OHIO) ❤️🏈GO BUCKS🏈❤️
Such a GREAT tutorial. It was easy to understand and follow. Thank you for sharing. I have been crocheting for over 50 years and this is just a suggestion, so I hope I am not being bossy sounding, but it would be best if at the cuff you were to begin to crochet on the inside of the top of your stocking so that when you turn it down into a cuff it will show the pretty side of your work.
Oh! You can either post a picture on Instagram or Facebook and tag me @crochetwithTiffany or email me info@crochetwithTiffany.com 🤗. I would love to see it!
Thank you tiffany hansen for the great tutorial and right now I am still working on my blanket and I am thankful for you tiffany hansen that you grow so much on UA-cam and if you keep making videos I will keep watching them
Hi Kathy! I'm so happy my tutorial gave you confidence to give this stocking a try! I tried to make the pattern as easy as possible and the tutorial as clear as possible. You got this!! So excited for you to get started. 😊🧡🧶
I always wanted to make a Christmas Stocking for my children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren! You explain this so well, I can actually follow you along as you go. I’m so looking forward to crocheting these for my family this Christmas! Thank you for taking your time to explain how to crochet a stocking ! Great job! 🙌🏼❤️
Thanks so much Tiffany for this Tutorial!!! I have tried other ones and they have never worked out right. You explained this one so well. I started this one today just past heel part and starting on the main part leading up to the cuff. No problems at all and it's looking great☺️ Thanks for all you do for your subscribers 🙂
Thank you for posting this tutorial. I have just completed my first Christmas stocking following this. Turned out so much better than I expected it would - first try at ever making one. Thank you 😊
I have just made 10 of the stockings for Christmas present for my nieces and Nephews . Thank you Tiffany for such a great pattern and your tutorial was so easy to follow and understand. ❤
Thank you for all of your patterns I have made several of them and you do an amazing job walking us thru them! I will be making several of these stockings .
I have never tried to crochet anything before and have managed to follow along! You gave a great tutorial! I had to watch the first part slowed right down a few times but I have finally got there! Thank you so much! My daughter has a great stocking for her first Christmas 😊
I’m so happy you had a great experience making my stocking and that you chose my pattern to make something so special. Great Job! Thank you so much for watching my video and crocheting with me. 😊❤️🧶
I have tried to follow other sock stocking patterns with no understanding, you made this so nice to do, thank you, as I do not knit and my group we have knit crochet weavers quilters ect and thus the one who was going to help me passed away last Thanksgiving so again thank you for this
I'm so glad my Classic Stocking Tutorial helped you to make a stocking of your very own! So happy you found my channel. Can't wait to see what you create! 🤗🧶❤️
I’ve tried scanning the comments to see if somebody else had asked, but didn’t see it at all. I noticed in the video when working on the heel, you jump from round 2 to the end of round 3 with no explanation. I think I figured out what you did in round 3, but just wanted to point that out in case anyone else was like me, trying to figure out where the missing row went.😅
Hi Laura! My apologies if that skipped section caused confusion. You just repeat the same instructions over and over, decreasing stitch to begin, one stitch in each space to last 2 on the bottom, decrease stitch the last 2 sts together, flip the stocking so you can work on the top. Decrease stitch to begin, one stitch in each space to last 2 on the top, decrease stitch the last 2 sts together. Slip Stitch in the top of the first Decrease to close round. You will repeat these instructions round after round until you can get the bottom and top of heel to touch and have the curve you desire in the stocking. Then you can either weave in the tail through all the stitches of the opening and synch closed OR you can just whip stitch the two sides together. I hope this helps! 😊❤️🧶
Great tutorial. You made it easy to follow and I appreciate seeing up close how the stitches get done. My next project is going to be this stocking.....t
Thank You I have been trying these different patterns and they never turn out and are complicated, this is the prettiest one and the best pattern I love love love it!!! Thank you! 🙂✅❤️
I moved into my dad's about a month ago and his brother isnt very fond of me. We also are JUST above the poverty line since we've got seven people living here (my dad, brother, aunt, uncle, 2 kiddos, and me). I'm also trans and changed my name somewhat recently. I *had* a stocking, but it has my deadname on it. Finding a crochet pattern for a stocking was quite lucky for me. I started crocheting it today and am making it rainbow since i'm in the lgbtqia community. This was an unbelievably easy pattern. Thank you for making this :)
I am so happy you were able to find my stocking pattern! I’m also so happy that you are finding it easy to work up! My daughter is 15 and has quite a few friends that have much in common with your story so when I say I understand everything you said, it’s coming from the heart. Be you! Do whatever makes you happy and feel authentic. This can always take interesting turns, bobs and weaves, that happens with everyone. Who knows, you could probably make a couple of stockings and sell them. You have my full permission to do so. I wish you so much love and joy this Christmas. I hope you find more projects on my channel that you are interested in making. Crochet is quite therapeutic and does incredible things for people. 😊🧶❤️
A very doable pattern, just a bit too big for my taste. I was, however, able to scale down the pattern and the stockings came out perfect! Everybody loved them! THANKS FOR YOUR PATTERN
I'm so glad you were able to scale it down to a size you preferred. How exciting that everyone loved them! So happy you were able to experience that! 🤗❤️🧶
I love your pattern Tiffany and have an idea for a couple changes to the stocking and hope that I can share it with you when I’ve completed it. I’m assuming I can’t send you a picture right here, but if there is a way I can show you mine, I’d be happy to.
I'd LOVE to see your adjustments Sally! Feel free to email me info@crochetwithTiffany.com or maybe join my Crochet Club where you can share pics in the forum chat area for all to see! members.crochetwithTiffany.com 😊❤️🧶
I understand. When I created the brand new video tutorial for a mini version of this stocking I adjusted how to do the heel in hopes that it might be easier to follow. If you would ever like to make another stocking, check out the heel section of the mini version. You might like it better. 😊🧶💖
Tiffany, I love this pattern!! I am already thinking of Christmas 2022. My father is in a personal care facility, and I always crochet something for all the residents for Christmas. However, this pattern is too big to make for them. Can you tell me how to make it smaller, or do you have a similar pattern of a smaller stocking?? Thanks so much, and I look forward to next Friday's tutorial!!
Hi Pat! I love that you want to make something for the people at the care facility. I did release a mini stocking a couple weeks ago if you would like to check that out but currently I don’t have anything in between currently. I am still adding things to my Christmas Crochet Playlist if you would like to check out the videos in there. You might find something that excites you. 😊❤️🧶
My daughter-in-law has asked me to make three stockings. This is the pattern that is exactly what she wants. The only issue is, she would like it to be larger. Could you advise on how I could do that? I understand that it would be in the toe that would be the difference, and the rest would follow accordingly. But I'm just not an experienced enough crocheter to know how to pull this off. Love this territorial!❤
Hello! Sounds like you have a pretty good idea how to make this stocking larger. Yes, the toe will set up how wide the stocking will be. Just continue to work the increase rows until you have the width you would like. Then it's all about the length. How many rounds you will add between the toe and the heel and then how many rounds you will add between the heel and the cuff. The heel will be closed the exact same way I show in the video. I hope this helps! 😊❤️🧶
So, I've never made a stocking before. But this was SUPER easy to follow! Now, my nephew wants a HUGE stocking, as big as he is he said.... how do I adjust the pattern to go bigger? I know I need to keep increasing at the toe. And I'll need to add rows in between toes and start of heel and whatnot. But, I'm not a great mathematician.... can anyone help??? I'm hoping for about a foot/foot and a half diameter and maybe 3 or 4 feet tall.
AWE!!! I love that your nephew made a special request AND that it is for a super fun size! What a fun idea!!! This is going to take some playing with in order to get the size you want. Yes, working from the toe, continue to follow the increase pattern until you measure that foot/food and a half diameter you want. My stocking measures 19 inches long. So just one inch more than a foot and a half long. To make your stocking 3 feet long just double the number of rows I have in each straight away like the straight part of the foot and the straight part above the heel. When it comes to the heel, simply slip stitch t o attach the heel color to one side of the open hole. Decrease single crochet the first 2 stitches together, make one single crochet in each stitch across to the other side. Decrease the last 2 stitches together. Then flip the stocking and continue working on the other side, decrease single crochet the first 2 stitches together. Make one single crochet in each stitch across. Decrease the last 2 stitches together. Then slip stitch into the first stitch made with the heel color to close the round. Repeat this decrease pattern until you can touch the top and bottom together and have the stocking maintain the shape you want. Then stop decreasing and just slip stitch join the top and bottom together to close it. I hope all of that made sense. It would be awesome if you were able to make a huge stocking for your nephew. HAVE FUN!! 🤗❤️🧶
It’s my grandson 2nd Christmas. He is going to be so happy. Well my daughter is she’s been begging me to do one for him. Was so easy to follow and I’m so glad I found you, again thank you so much xx

Awe! Thank you so much! I can’t wait for you to give this stocking a try. I had a lot of fun making it and I think you will too. 😊❤️🧶
Thank you! This pattern was so easy to follow and the stocking worked up fast. I can't wait to make another.
Wonderful tutorial! TFS

I really enjoyed this pattern! I don't like the way my heel turned out, but I'll try again!
I understand. When I created the brand new video tutorial for a mini version of this stocking I adjusted how to do the heel in hopes that it might be easier to follow. If you would ever like to make another stocking, check out the heel section of the mini version. You might like it better. 😊🧶💖
Cute Christmas stockings! Can’t believe Christmas is almost here! Thanks for the tutorial 💚🤗

I did it! Mine is purple and white. Next one for husband. His will be blue and white!
That’s so awesome Stephanie!!! So excited for you. 🤗😊🧶❤️

Yay!! I’m so glad you had fun Ramona! 😊🧶❤️
HAVE FUN!! 🤗❤️🧶
Beautiful!!
Exactly what I was looking for!! Yayyyy 👍👍😃
AWESOME!! So excited that this pattern hits what you were looking for. 😊🧡🧶
