The real benefit back then is children being exposed to a perfect example of real singing, superior singing, tone and phrasing and breath control, without out all the Diva opera crap. She finished this song beautifully and gets the emotion out of it instead of "it's all about me and my skill" attitude. Brilliant, there will never be another Linda Ronstadt. She could sing anything, without butchering it, actually improving it.

When I was really little, my Dad used to play this for me and tell me to always remember this is how much he loved me. He’ll be passed four years in a couple weeks, and I’ve been having a hard time, and for 5 straight days I woke up with this playing in my head. So I had to find a video of her singing it. So very glad I found this incredible one with my beloved Muppets! Thank you! 🙏🏻❤️💚💗

When one looks at the achievements of Linda Ronstadt it becomes obvious that she is a musical genius. If she had been stricken with the disease that took he voice what she would be now is incredible. There is nobody now, the past or in the future who can or will hold a candle to her. I suggest that even Jimmie Rodgers would shed a tear if he were here and heard her sing songs he wrote nearly 100 years ago. Patsy Cline was good, we lost her then, along came Linda Ronstadt .

@@jodycascio567 So true. Her vocal cords must be made of steel as they have remained perfectly intact-it's the messaging that has malfunctioned.
Truly am sorry for Ms. Ronstadt (and us) that she can no longer experience the physical exhilaration and emotional pleasure of singing with her friends, be it Emmylou or Kermit!
I turn to this song for comfort as I bury members of my family and dear friends. Their songs and kisses will live in my heart!
But I never will grow to old to dream as I believe that one day I will return to the Source of all the beauty, grace and love in this world. I have read that Ms. Ronstadt is not a believer in a monotheistic God. But I believe her God-given voice and her free will to develop it and share it and revel in it, is a miracle. I am so grateful that friends and fate protected her during the perilous times of the 70's, and she is still with us. And I am so grateful to her for not only shining her light on us for our lifetimes, but for illuminating the the light of so many others-singers, songwriters, and musicians-who may have remained hidden to us in this world had she not sung their songs or spoke of their influence in her musical journey.
We can't stay at "this party" forever, but I am not too old to dream that the "never-ending party" to come will have the best "live performances" ever with the best sound systems and performers in the universe!
