As I write this in Sept 2024, Linda is still with us at 78 years of age. But I do miss hearing her perform or release new work since she began suffering the effects of a degenerative illness that has had multiple diagnoses since the early 2010’s.
My wife who is 34 is a singer and just discovered this song from watching the voice. I remembered seeing this as a kid from the 70s!! So I had to check to see if I actually remembered correctly and sure enough...
WOW…..just WOW. Incredible voice….not many Women can pull off beauty and strength vocals. Linda NAILS it. So melodically gorgeous and so very strong. One of the best vocalists ever ….. period….end of story. Pretty sad to have to tune into an appearance on the muppets in order to get such a lyrically incredible version of this song. Sublime beauty.
