    Stunning implementation of an idea. I'd love to see how it transitions from flight to walking. So much potential for slick video

    Thanks! Yes, the each leg has 2 degree of freedom with link mechanism. I use 8 servos for legs, 4 servos for arms now. The total weight of the latest robot is about 1550g. The control board is RCB-4HV manufactured by Kondo Kagaku co.,ltd. I opened the video about all parts of this robot in my UA-cam Channel on May 18, 2013.

      Impressive engineering. At first I thought it looked too heavy to fly - I was wrong.

      I LOVE IT! The best part is, now those legs are multifunctional - not only can they be used to walk around and land, they could be programmed to re-position themselves and work like a grabber!

    Thank you for your advice. I made this robot for fun. Though the flight time was cut down, I think I came to be able to enjoy new additional functions. I know and want to NAZA V2, but I think the total weight become heavier than. So, I'm hesitating to buy that.

    Simply awesome work, You did a hell of a job. I will make one suggestion , get yourself an acoustic range sensor on the bottom so it will automatically deploy the legs from a folded position when you get close to the ground.. But absolutely great work . you should be proud

    What does all that "crawl" gear weigh? I can see how this would be great for FPV exploring things like sheer cliff escarpments, or areas covered by dense foliage. Fly in, then crawl in and look around.

    Thank you for your information. I didn't know that the new software and firmware of NAZA V2 completely compatible with the Naza M V1. I'd like to try that. I'm very interested in the stable takeoff in ATTI mode.

  • @johnrobertson7583
    @johnrobertson7583 6 років тому

    Haha...24 people who didnt think of this first! Have you integrated the landing sequence into it to extend and compress the legs for soft touchdown or uneven surfaces?

  • @brimest0ne
    @brimest0ne 11 років тому

    The good new is, you don't need to buy any hardware. Download the new Assistant software and the new firmware 3.14, its completely compatible with the Naza M V1. The V2 makes a big differences in stability, especially on takeoff and landing. It dose have a warmup time that you have to wait for on start up, annoying, but it insures the GPS is locked in before takeoff. Now you takeoff in GPS mode instead of ATTI mode for stable takeoff and landings.
    Cheers
